Turns out they censored the logo for British Airways on that Escort rally car, but more rally cars would mean that Motorsport 8 is sure to have rally racing.

Kind of want to get a crack at that Zenvo TSR-S with the weird wing, wonder if it's easy to obtain?

It'll be super easy to obtain. Just take a pic of any car you have in front of the festival stage

Now, it appears that there are nearly 200 undisclosed cars in the FH4 development build.

Of course, these would include cars that are not available to us, such as traffic.
And then there's the "new" content that won't be added in the update, like the test data for FM8.

Considering they use the dev build to showcase updates, chances are that the ~200 extra cars are non-licensed vehicles, traffic cars, and/or vehicles brought over from previous games that are unavaliable to the public. IIRC, early gameplay builds of FH4 had the P1 GTR, as well as Mitsubishi cars present, while the former is nowhere to be seen and the later was added later on as a free DLC.

At least, that's what I'm thinking. I honestly hope there's not another 200 cars in the pipeline. I've got too damn many as it is.

I'm sad that we may not get anymore toyotas, such as the FJ40 and FJ Cruiser. I guess PG are finished with it now. The collection we got is awesome, with many returns from Forza's past. I assume we will get the rest in FM8, with many returns like the Toyota GT-One (TS020), and new additions like the Toyota Supra GR Mk.5 (A90). What are the odds of us getting any more lexuses in FH4 before FM8? If we're lucky, we may get one or two lexuses if at all? I dunno.

Yeah, you could be right. I almost forgot that is what they use during the streams hahaha! Besides, we're approaching FM8 as we speak, so the 200 more cars could just be the dev build, with several to be announced in the next couple Forza Monthly streams?

I remembered that Johniwanna wants to see the FJ Cruiser return to Forza, as he owns a black FJ Cruiser in real life.

I'm wondering if the deal with Toyota means the FM8 cover car is the A90, with a pre-release gift for Horizon players to use it first.

Either that or the Koenigsegg Jesko. But I do think other such supercars like the Lamborghini Huracan EVO or the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign are perfect cover car candidates for FM8.

If going by all the Forza cover cars for the X1 era, the FM8 cover car won’t be a supercar/hypercar that’s been in quite a few other games, so something like the Jesko is off the table for that.

Of course, they could change the pattern and the cover could just be some race cars instead of a hot road car, since they are focusing a bit more on the sim side of the game.

But if the cover car will be a road car, it’s gonna be a car that hasn’t even been unveiled yet, or one that’s ridiculously hot and hasn’t been in any games yet. The Valkyrie and the Project One come to mind first to me...

The Jesko will be the most likely candidate for the next cover car for FM8. I was gonna safely bet on the Corvette C8, but that got snagged by Project CARS 3.

I know this is a minority opinion, but I'd like to see a cover car like FM1 or FM2 on FM8.
Against other racing games like GT and NFS, Forza hasn't had an iconic and original cover car for a long time.
With FM8 they seem to be trying to reboot the series. As such, I want them to get an iconic cars to represent it again.

And while this is a complaint not directly related to the main game,
I'm disappointed in their Hot Wheels collaboration.
These toycars are simply ordinary 180SXs and 911s with the "Forza" logo painted on them, and none of the models replicate the iconic cars in the game like the GT with HW collaboration.

And this is another reason why I've come to hold the aforementioned opinion.

Just a thought, but Features from previous games getting added to FH4 this long after the game released when Mike Brown is promoted to Creative Director of Forza Horizon does give me hope for Future games.
And what is with the joke of Mike and that other guy passing the hat back and forth over the video call, a tease at some sort of player-to-Player trading system coming back to Forza?

CROSS-PLATFORM FIXES
  • Fixed an issue with the Monthly Rivals event for series 23 not counting towards Festival Playlist progression
XBOX FIXES
  • Added in additional checks to reduce the likelihood of accidentally creating a new save game after cancelling a sync from connected storage.

Had a feeling there was a problem with the monthly rivals but didn't actually know there was one.

The Jesko will be the most likely candidate for the next cover car for FM8. I was gonna safely bet on the Corvette C8, but that got snagged by Project CARS 3.

I highly doubt that, it’s already been a DLC car for GRID and The Crew 2 and it’s hotness has kinda worn off.

I still think the best bet would be on either the Valkyrie or the Project One, or ideally both cause that would be a sick cover!

My bet's still on either the Mercedes-AMG One or Aston Martin Valkyrie/Valhalla. Likewise the Jesko is already in The Crew 2, so if a Koenigsegg will be the cover car, the Gemera will be more likely.

Although there’s always a wildcard every now and then such as the fb rx7, the h1 open top, or the formula drift Corvette, I’m always keen on trying to guess how PG will continue to move through the list, especially with the very small number now of newer cars and since it seems they’ve run through adding Toyotas. I would say I wouldn’t expect the formula drift Nissan or perhaps any Fords following this update, the SVO mustang and SVT focus especially since they have somewhat close counterparts in game. Still a lot of rare classics to be had hopefully.... (give me that Bentley!!)

I fail to see why racing games must have cover cars. The first Gran Turismo didn’t and it caught everyone’s attention.
Have to make that $$$!! Marketing is the only god now.

"Fixed an issue with the Monthly Rivals event for series 23 not counting towards Festival Playlist progression".

But what about the daily challenges from Summer? Those are not related to Rivals, which I assume will fix the 94% for the other seasons. Summer will still be short and for gamers like me who has 100% every series, that's gonna be frustrating to see.

Had to say goodbye to my beloved Liberty Walk Huracan livery. DJS is probably going to have to rework a lot of his designs if he doesn't want to get banned.
