Is it my imagination or do the days seem shorter and nights longer now that we're in winter?

Maybe they recycled the second-gen Raptor sounds. Or the ATS-V, since it's the same displacement and made by the same parent company (Might even be from the same family, though GM has made multiple generations of 3.6L DOHC V6s.).
It's neither, it's a new sound to the game.
It's pretty good and sounds like a sporty V6. I don't know if I would rush to say turbo, but an odd intake note for sure.

They've really toned down the snowfalls, which I guess makes sense considering I doubt the UK gets massive blizzards like those in Blizzard Mountain (which were pretty much spot on with the real thing) but they've really upped the quality of the snow itself. The sun glistens on the deeper stuff, powdery snow has that sugar-ish look to it they've captured very well.

So I get back on to play, have 800k for the Forzathon, check it again and now I have 150k. I give up.

So that’s why I lost 2 million points last night. So that’s why I’m also going to be losing another 2 million since I just got off to get some drinks with the other half.

Doubt it. I scored 1 million points yesterday and another million this morning. Now I have somewhere around 2 million points.

Anyone else starting to think the Forzathon Live score requirements should be scaled to how many participants there are? In the one I just did there were only four of us by the time we got to round 3, and we barely got over half of the drift zone points needed. :irked:

I struggled my way with another poor random to complete it with under a minute... But I definitely agree it should scale.

Just got 531 of 531 roads by driving on the beach
Two roads got confirmed below where my arrow is

I don’t. I scored two million last night, logged onto nothing. Scored two million again after work, logged into 800k. Then continued playing only to check it again 20 minutes later to find out I now only have 150k. So if you doubt that I don’t k ow what to tell you. So it’s a combination of losing points while you log off as well as losing points as I’m playing at this point.

Just to prove the point, I logged off, logged back on and did a little 1 minute run and this is the difference between before the log off and after

Its weird, but i really like team based multiplayer. While its much more aggressive, at the same time its much more complex than solo. Little bit of strategy thinking in reflex based racing genre is breath of fresh air. On the other side, there definitely should be solo adventure(instead of "anything goes", maybe)

My doubt reinforced by you confirming that points were lost during an active session. Thereby I think it's once again safe to conclude that the game doesn't care whether you have been logged off or not.

I wonder whether playing in Horizon Solo or Horizon Life may have anything to do with it. Again, I've had no problems keeping my Forzathon progress (in this case skill points). Maybe because I have played in Horizon Solo exclusively? I'm grasping at straws here, but it raises the question whether connecting to multiplayer servers may be part of the problem. Try sticking to singleplayer while farming points if you haven't already.

For the first time, I had a Forzathon Live all to myself. That was just plain weird.
Me too. Rather than find a new session I went ahead and completed the first stage by myself. But that was only because I wanted the skill points for the insane Pull Out All The Stops weekly challenge. Weird because I saw other ghostly cars pulling up before the event started.

If FH4 really is the last instalment this generation and PG are going to continue to support it with regular updates then I hope this includes negotiating the rights to additional music tracks. I feel like I've rinsed out this playlist already. The way I feel I'd even considering shelling out extra cash for add-on music packs for the stations. I'm probably way in the minority for this however.

I could always just stick on Spotify in the background like I do in Motorsport but it just ain't the same without the DJ chatter.

Any news about changing seasons? I don't want to wait 3 weeks before summer...

Yeah, I think having a week of Winter is going to push a lot of players away. If they'd started the game in Spring the player counts would have comfortably declined towards Winter as players ran out of things to do, but I expect this way is going to be a steeper drop off of players because they don't want to struggle for grip in the snow. Doesn't bother me though, I'm having plenty of fun with it.

You know, Edinburgh's street racing culture is a bit... Different to what I expected.

Lots of these cool illegal street racers are opting for Citroen 2CVs nowadays, while some crazy person keeps on winning with a Bentley Blower. Must just be the hipster generation, aye?

You've seen the kinds of clothes they wear, are you surprised? Nice photo btw, I think it really shows off the additional work that's gone into the night lighting this time around.

I'm so glad this isn't Juiced or NFS Carbon though. Know what I mean?

Well that took way too long, but I finally got all 7,000,000 skill points.
Yeah I just completed it as well after first losing over 4 mill score due to restarting the game. :( it’s safest to do it in 1 go. I started with a Forzathon event and then just took my maxed out (tune and skills) Land Rover Series III out to the airfield. Just over half an hour (including the Fozathon time) I got the 7 mill. I had 1 skill song as well which helps greatly.

If anyone needs a maxed out tune for the Land Rover Series III FE to grind this I have on shared in the game. It’s the best car to farm this (the only FE car in Off-road series if I’m not mistaken) and it has a destruction skill boost. Best to focus on sideswiping all those wooden fences (landscaping) and the points build quite fast.

Same. I've lost 3 mil due to restarting the game. And I can confirm the Land Rover FE is the perfect car. Took me a little bit over an hour to get to 7 mil. Guess I wasn't trying hard enough.

You’re right it wasn’t during an active session. It was actually just from completely closing the game and opening it back up. Because I knew I had some at the beginning of the session I thought it was lost somewhere in between. What I found out is that the points still show when you get back on, but as soon as you complete one skill chain, it wiped it and the new score is whatever the chain you just completed is.

Regardless, it’s not worth the effort as I already had enough points for the vehicles. Forzathon seems as buggy as ever.

As far as I know, I didn't encounter any resets for the final Weekly challenge. I started yesterday in a Colorado ZR2, racked up a few points (70k) before logging off. When I came back on today, I switched over to the FE Land Rover Series III, ran around the quarry and even participated in a Forzathon Live Event and my points were still accumulating. It took one last skill chain after Forzathon Live to complete the task.

If it makes a difference, My Xbox is on Instant-On mode so it is always connected to the internet.

My Forzathon skill points are now gone as well. 3 million points down the drain, so goodbye 200 FP.

You just said it also happened while you were playing, and now you're saying it didn't? Anyway, I'm not sure at which point mine were wiped. Suddenly they were gone, so forget my multiplayer theory above.
