I absolutely can’t wait for the Route Creator. It’s going to add so much more longevity to the game, and the way I’m currently tracking, I’ll have all of the exhibition races completed by the time the route creator drops. Personally I’ll be creating more realistic sort of circuits, but I’m interested at the creative tracks that others will make.

I think it's mostly due to people going crazy and being unable to stay in the drift zone, making 10 passes and scoring a big fat 0.

Also showing up with cars that can't drift well, or even simpler stuff like not having TCR turned off.

I think some people who aren't great at drifting also just count on everyone else to pick up the slack. And when you've got enough people all waiting for someone else to pick up the slack... you're left with a bunch of slack.

I will make a track running all the railroad tracks.
I can't wait on 25th update.

I plan to make a route that goes along some of the narrow dirt trails and whatnot that aren't counted as actual roads by the map. See if I can make a proper, narrow rally route that's challenging.

Just finished up a forzathon live, is it me or are the drift zones unbalanced? These drift zones take forever and if I'm in any forzathon with under 6 players the group can't ever finish them.

Yeah, people being terrible at drifting explains most of it but there were a couple of drift zones that were practically impossible in the snow because the snow was too deep, requiring a pretty specific tune, and you couldn't see the road which was also pencil-thin. I have a pretty good Range Rover drift car that almost handles like one of the Drift Club presets and couldn't get more than 20k on a couple of those zones, so the average player with traction control on and a choice between an AWD that came with dirt tyres but has too much grip to slide properly or a drift car that struggles to get up to 30mph on deep snow... Well, hopefully it gets easier in spring!

I do think they've over-estimated drifting scores in general though, some drift zones are quite tough (in winter, anyway, that's all I've really played so far).

They'll be trickier in Winter.

Once I used the Formula Drift Viper and a popular tune, all of the Drift Zones were pretty easy. That thing can keep a wide angle at a high speed, which is what the scoring system is looking for.

So is it normal the ONLY new thing when i default map to new is Arthur's Seat Cross Country and nothing else, that means that is the ONLY series or seasonal I have not run yet, right?

And to run that I have to buy with real world dollars a car, what if I dont. When will I get to do new races?

Other than rivals and occasional LIVE all racing starts on the MAP, correct?

If I dont want to pay $10 what do I do just wait until new races are added by the game?

Spring is here. All this green is so welcome after a week of snow.

EDIT: and I've already got my barn find rumor.

EDIT EDIT: There were five other players already there when I got there and more kept showing up.

Yeah, I also agree that drift Forzathon Live events are mostly down to people just not being up to par. It's the only one that actually takes some effort, and with everyone just using their most ridiculous car, it makes sense why it takes the longest.

As for the Drift-Zones themselves, I just built an A-Class S13 240SX and managed to get it done fairly easy. I would never try them in the snow though, but the good thing is I don't have to since I completed them all lol.

yeah they are the winter just made them even worse tarmac is fine because I can rack up a lot of points it's just the dirt is hard especially in winter

Yes, I just don't think people realize that they can change their car on the fly for free now. It's annoying because a x class lambo just does not cut it.

I mean no disrespect, but perhaps check out some videos on YouTube? It's hard to troubleshoot the kind of things you're asking through text. Seasonals appear rather limited, but "regular" series add races as you compete in them and level up.

I didn't really understand why the game forces us to use the VW Corrado for the weekly Forzathon. I thought it was a pretty weird/uninspired choice until I read some of the descriptions; "party like it's 2012" "Dak would be proud" And then it came back to me. Incredible to think it's been 6 years since the first Horizon came out!

I believe so if I remember correctly. And it’s the last time I remember ever seeing it in Forza. Super odd to me.
One thing I also really want if they fixed where mirrors are painted because if they are two pieces it's so strange when the whole mirror gets painted especially on cars like the Diablo. Even that black part gets painted.

This is cracking me up.

For those that never played the first Horizon or simply forgot, the VW Corrado was the first car you were given to drive, and Dak was the chief mechanic. He mentioned owning a Corrado when they were new and was effusive with praise for the car, telling you to look after it.

Banking 2 million skill points in the Corrado wasn't that bad after last week's boring grind. Head-on near miss skills on the motorway was my approach for this one. Nice place to capitalize on daredevil, threading the needle and lucky escape bonuses, but make sure to use the perk which ignores the first collision with a solid object.

I have a really good way that has really helped with getting skill points for the forzathon there is a really good spot on the beach where the dragstrip is and what you do is that you drift and hit the yellow barrier things it's completely flat too so their is nothing that you can hit
I did this for the 2,000,000 points in the Corrado and it took no time at all. It would have gone faster, but I kept pausing at 500,000 points to maximize my skill points mining.
