Been wanting to do this circuit for a while now. Last corner checkpoint placement could have been a bit better, but I'm happy enough with the result :D

One thing I'm wondering - With photos having limits of what, 30 for 4k, Replays having limits of 10 in past games and Blueprints having a limit of 5 per route - What is the limit of the blueprint file saves?

First an i8 Roadster and now the Gallardo Performante returns? Okay, I guess I know what PG is doing; they're pulling what they did in FH1 and adding convertible variants of certain cars. It's not entirely a bad idea, I kinda liked the idea of having the option to drive topless versions of cars like in TDU1 & 2.

Still waiting for my Slow internet to download the update. Is it possible to start custom routes at the Drag strip sites? I want to make something that is a spiritual successor to the Highway track from Gran Turismo 5, and the only race location that suites my desires is the Juggernaut Drag race.

I'm just going to make longer layouts of existing circuits. I just had this idea of combining Lakehurst Copse Circuit with Greendale Club Circuit.

I do have an immediate gripe with this mode, I can't go to my map for reference.

No.
Events can't be created in drag races and street races.
However, there is a cross country event (Coastal Rush Cross Country) near Juggernaut.

Kind of a shame that you can't even use Street race starts. That would open up a lot more potential. Hopefully This gets updated in further updates.
I'm curious what the reasoning was behind not allowing using the Street Race and Drag Race start points.

Great to see the Insignia return. I thought about getting one when I ended up with the Swift, but £500 a year RFL for a Vauxhall is just ridiculous.

Throwing down the standard start finish line in a place where there usually isn't one might be a bit too much to ask when we can't even choose which direction a race starts in.

To be fair, there are more than a few places where reversing the start direction wouldn't work as there isn't enough room for the field to line up. Which is also the likely reason why we can't just pick an arbitrary spot on the map to be a start line.

I was honestly expecting the route creator to be far more limited than it is, but for what we have gotten it works quite well, and frankly I'd rather have to work around a couple limits than fight with an unstable mess that can be easily exploited (I'm looking at you, GTA V race editor).

What don't you understand?

Thanks for the breakdown but you're quoting the wrong person because I'm not the one that's confused about basic sentence structure.

I just think it's a bit of a piss take to say that we'll be unlocking a car that's not locked in the first place. It's also a bit inconsistent when every other Horizon Story offered an exclusive car. It's not like the game's short of actually locked British cars like the Lotus 2-Eleven or the 2012 Mini JCW.

As for the update itself, it's good to see that the devs are taking a crack at engine audio post-launch for once, but I don't think giving the R34 the V12ish sample from FM7 is a step in the right direction.

The route creator is a mess. The bugs and inconveniences aside, I would have liked if the actual route itself was separated from the "race". As in being able to set my own time of day, weather, race length, and car choices when racing another player's route. That and the player generated racing line, where you're at their mercy of not having drivatars swerving all over the place, mean there's really no benefit to using another player's route versus just copypasting it yourself.

The 8 carpass cars are, ehhh, a reskinned Escort, a 2018 Mustang with a bodykit, a convertible Gallardo recycled from FH1, and 2 Vauxhalls recycled from FM4, leaving 3 cars that are actually new. I wonder if the Hoonigan truck will be any good at something other than drifting.

Can I also say that I would much prefer actual production cars as Forzathon prizes to 2 Hotwheels and a reskinned Hoonicorn pretending to be a new car, or would that be "anti-fun"?

Also, I hope the community choice poll has options for "the missing wheels that were added in FH3 and FM7" and "class based rivals".

One of these snippets aren't like the other - and hey, wouldn't you know, the only thing that is differently worded is the one thing that is not being unlocked. It's like that's what three people have been trying to tell you or something.

Quick question, do you actually like this game? This game has been out for a few weeks now and I don't think I've actually seen you write something about you enjoying it, just pointing out every small issue. That's not to say that some of these things aren't valid, or warranted, but it gets to a point where it comes across where you're out to find more things to complain about it instead of finding things you enjoy.

This is where I start to get pissed off as well. It's not like there's not problems with the game, it comes with the territory for large releases like this. But when your entire posting history, going back to when the game was first announced is negativity and criticism, well, then it gets from being excessive, to being pretty much obnoxious.

Like...what's the point? we know what the things to fix are, we know what needs to be criticized. When all that is posted is negativity and criticisms, well, what point is that serving? To get some sort of enjoyment out of it, to be a contrarian? To be a dick to the developers? Like, what is the end goal?

Game still hasn’t updated for me on the original Xbox one. I restarted my Xbox twice and I haven’t gotten the update for the route creator, is it out today or coming on the 25th?

Car models are usually referred to with the definite article (though that seems to be changing now and manufacturers want people to drop the article entirely). Talking about interesting interpretations...

Even then, none of you are able to agree to the same interpretation...

That's obviously referring to the chat phrase.

All the same, you'd still be "unlocking" the Bentley 8 Litre, because it's part of the same list of things which are unlocked through the new Horizon Story, when there are more suitable cars in the game that could be unlocked by this event. Suitable as in you can't just straight up buy it from the Autoshow.

I spend most of my time painting, tuning, and in rivals. The QoL paint booth improvements from FM7 are missing. The better livery resolution from FM7 is also missing. The save slot expansions from FM7 are missing. The wheels from FH3 updates and FM7 are missing. Class based rivals are missing.

So as it currently is, not particularly.
