I'd take plain unpainted cars over a grid of Monster and Red Bull stickers.

What is the deal with that? Every bloody car (ESPECIALLY the off-road and dirt vehicles), like five of the top six user created liveries are either plastered with Red Bull or Monster Energy logos.

I get that these two brands sponsor lots of racing events and teams in real life, but the logos are ugly (ESPECIALLY that Monster one), and making yet another Red Bull livery for a car is just so conceptually uninteresting... yet they are always the most popular ones!

The only "real" liveries I like on my cars, are either classic ones (ie. the iconic Martini one for the Lancia 037 that everyone immediately gets), or older cars with period-appropriate liveries (I've got a sweet Sony VHS livery for my F40 Competizione). The first thing I do when I buy one of the Ken Block/"Hoonigan" cars, is immediately plaster over the "Xtreeeeme" default liveries, that look like they were designed by a sentient bottle of Mountain Dew.

The "top" designs are just a product of good timing. Slap together a Monster livery on or before release day on all the popular cars (or just immediately import them from previous games) and they'll be recommended until the end of time because new designs that are late to the game aren't shown to the players at all.

A full search of any user created content will only ever return 252 results sorted by popularity alone.

I've learned now that basically, if you have a car in mind, search what you're looking for in terms of a livery and hope that it's there. Depending on the car, and the obscurity of the livery (the only livery that I have wanted for a car that wasn't there via search was the Nurburgring Edition for a '08 Viper ACR) you'll find it nine times out of ten. but if i'm honest, I'd still like to have the ability to do it like FM4/FH1 and search by popularity/downloads etc, if only so that it can weed out some of the **** that's present.

I like all the silly liveries. If the Horizon festival was real(obviously it never could happen) there would be tons of liveries on cars. Also i bet money that Red Bull and Monster would jump at the chance to get their hands in there.

I'm actually surprised Microsoft haven't announced a "real" Horizon festival yet. It obviously wouldn't be quite the same thing as the games (you can't rent all of Australia for a week, for one), but they could certainly host a hybrid music/racing festival *somewhere*, with a wide variety of different classes of racing. Rent out a local circuit for a week or two somewhere, and find places in the surrounding area to hold dirt races. Kinda like the Olympics, but racing and music.

Maybe it's too much money for something that would ultimately be promotional, since it's not like Microsoft wants to be in the concerts business I'd imagine. But man, a combination of Glastonbury and Goodwood would probably do big business, if executed well.

They could even make it an annual thing, as a celebration of the Forza games in general. Sort of like Xbox and PlayStation have their annual "Fan fests".

Not sure how far Donnington is from PG but that track doubles as one of the most famous tracks ever and most famous music venues ever. Also I guess not much happens there nowadays anyway.

Circuit Of The Americas is another, a great race track with music venues built in and it's about 10 miles from Downtown Austin, otherwise known as the live music capital of the world.

Having all the artists play their one featured song over and over again would kinda suck though. :P

In reality though, most music festivals tend to have their patrons using drugs and alcohol... not sure it'd work well with cars.

I wasn't really thinking the attendees would be participants - more that they would come to watch actual professionals race and play music, haha.

Get some rally cars, some drift events, some hypercars, some vintage old cars - it'd be awesome.

Forzathon Shop has the '69 Chevy Nova SS 396 FE, Bone Shaker and two different Day of the Dead t-shirts. The Boneshaker is shown in the shop (and in your garage after you buy it) with it's normal livery, but once you get in it, you can see it has the 50th Anniversary livery. And it looks fantastic. All that flat black and brass is gorgeous.

I love the 50th anniversary livery, it looks amazing.

Fastest Forzathon I've completed so far with the Capri.

Took me about an hour by playing some races and Forzathon Live.

I just took part in the most pathetic Forzathon Live event ever. It started at the house near the Glenfinnan Viaduct in the NW corner of the map. There were about 18 of us, more than enough to accomplish everything. Except we couldn't even finish the second challenge. First challenge was a speed trap that took all of about 90 seconds to complete. Second challenge was drifting on a mountain road. For some reason, about a dozen players all went over the mountain to a speed zone to do their drifting, leaving only about four of us to do all the drifting in the actual drift zone. We did our best but we couldn't do it on our own.

I try to find well done low use work just because of all that. In Horizon I do tend to run mostly stock paints.

Bone Shaker paint tips:
If you want to golden engine, suspension, skull, select OEM paint pattern 1. Select OEM Paint Pattern 2 if you want those parts to be silver.
And if you import a design created with FM6 or FH3 and apply it to Bone Shaker, you need to do the same operation first.

Dunno why but my rewards credits from the Forza app dropped significantly from 350k cr per week to 75k per Forza game :grumpy:

I rely on those credits for Horizon 4 since I cant seem to get a lot of cr in the game.

That 75K reward you got is probably for reaching the next tier. When weekly rewards return, you should discover that 75K will be added to your existing payout (so 425K per week).

Right now, it appears we will not be getting a weekly payout tomorrow (the rewards page says coming soon).

I have two tunes up for the new events if anyone is interested.

1) Boneshaker A 800 street spec, easy mode wins on all races on expert difficulty.
2) Ford Capri A 800 dirt spec, this one is absolutely killling it, I even came very close to 3-starring some speed zones with it. :)

How do we get that?

Has anyone ever built a car that is RWD for offroading? I do like some 4WD rallying, but sometimes I like alittle challenge. Not trying to boast, just curious to know if anybody here has built one for rallying besides me. :)

However, stating the obvious here, AVOID driving them in winter season. It's not easy.

I'm planning to share these builds under the name "Dirt Spec" once I'm comfortable with them, and trust my cars to handle well for the people. I also have other builds if anyone wants to check out. It's not alot, but I'm still experimenting with each car I build.
