BTW I still have ONE barn un-found or one BARN car un-found, is that a done deal for me because the barn finds option is done for good and I didnt get it while I could or is this the case for everybody and there is one left for everybody?

Yeah, I know, un-found not a word.
If you haven't bought one of the Castles yet, than that's likely where it's hiding.

Buy a car with 999 pp (are they called performance points in HZ?) and the race calls for max 998. It likely has a tune on it making it 999, so you remove that tune and create a new one with 998 as there is no way to reduce a tune you buy by one point?

I only have 2,950,000 and I want the Ferrari FXX K, so have been looking at auctions. But if I buy one that has 999 this means it has a tune on it that I would have to remove and then build or buy a new tune to go to 998 so I can race in that seasonal calling for 998, right?

I am aware you can race with less than the max points on a car. But for instance I had the 98 Cerbera in my garage but it never came up for this seasonal on my screen as one of my cars to choose, it had 848 or something PP on it as I probably never tuned it. Why wasnt that showing in my options?
You will own the parts along with the car

OK, thanks. I bought some house long time ago for 2 mil, but you are saying castle so I will look at that.

I play A LOT as you all must notice and I am never over 2 million in credits, i am at 3 now but i sold a GT Ford for some of that.

Is there a fast way to earn?

Thanks, I know that part, I was just thinking back to GT days, Gran Turismo, and you could reduce the PP easily without changing anything other than a couple HP. Cant do that here.

Unfortunately no. You can look at Goliath-type races people made. They aren't really the fast way, but it's one of the ways. Another way is to sell rare cars off the Auction House.

Bamburg Castle, by the beach.
The barn find is just down the main road and is immediately unlocked on purchase.

As of current, only just over 3% of players have purchased a castle.

Hardly surprising considering the investment versus return. That's 10 or 15 million credits gone in an instant for two cars that will not appeal to the masses (let's be honest, most people outside of here don't care about a 1933 Alfa Romeo or a 1931 Bentley, even though they're glorious things) and 20 Super Wheelspins that usually amount to a bunch of clothes, inexpensive cars and if you're lucky, maybe a few hundred thousand credits.

I bought both for the sake of completion and because I really wanted the Blower Bentley, but I still feel that 25 million could have been spent better.

I don't recommend this method, but there is at least an easy way (at the moment) not a violation of XBL and FH4 rules.

Purchase Nissan Fairlady Z 432, or 1983 Porsche 911 Turbo.
And unlock 300,000 Cr of the car mastery.
Since these two units can be purchased at 150,000 Cr, you can earn 150,000 Cr per unit.
Skill points are relatively easy to obtain by using BMW M6 FE or Hoonicorn.
Also, if you buy Hoonigan Focus at the current Forzathon Shop, you can get 300,000 Cr in the same way. Because we purchase cars with FP, the profit per unit is better than Fairlady Z and 911.

However, I do not recommend this method.
First of all, it is very boring. This method turns the game into work like labor.
Next, this method does not exploit game flaws, but it has the potential to collapse the economic balance in the game.
This method has been found relatively early, and since this is not being modified by PG, this method may remain as a legitimate means in the future.
However, you should not overdo it.

I actually have the Bamburg castle. I'm thinking of saving 15 million for the bigger castle for the sake of having it. or maybe just forget about it and buy the Jaguar E-Type Lightweight for 10 million instead. Ah, decisions, decisions. Now though, I'm on a mission to actually try checking my garage to make sure I didn't gloss over any money prizes each car may have.

Just out of curiosity, is that an actual stat or just for the sake of discussion? For what it's worth, I finally bought this castle just the other night. I haven't completed the barn find yet because it's my last one and I really enjoy doing them. And I've been busy trying to get that 3 star on the weekly Forzathon challenge speed trap.

I just got the Bamburg Castle today, I used 35 of my 61 wheelspins and 10 wheelspins so I'm not broke, but I didn't enjoy spending that much money on a barn find. If it was just a car I would have waited much longer.

The $15m Edinburgh Castle will probably be the very last thing I buy in the game. Since I only have 277 cars and some are dups it will be a while.

That's how many got the achievement for buying a castle.
3.14% this morning I think.

You should check on the auction house for the Jag. Got mine for like a million.

I can see a power limiter for Motorsport, probably not Horizon though.

I was just thinking this tonight whilst playing FM7 (since the paint system has remained the same for years and just carried over). Was trying to paint the SV and remembered what a pain in the butt it is trying to match a left and right side vinyl to the top/hood, and how much easier it would be if you could just place a vinyl wherever you wanted without being restricted to 1 area of the car.

While we're at it, I'm going to take the thread a little further off-topic though not by much...

When was it decided to remove the rear diffusers and race exhaust when applying Forza aero? And why? It actually added something to the mix, that and the several different wings that went along with it. And that different tire compounds from different manufacturers — I mention that one at every possible opportunity because it was different and made sense!

Another thing, why don't we pay for vehicle damage anymore? We've been with Forza more or less since day one (though I think you have an up on me) and while they're still ahead of GT in some regards, there are some decisions, at least to me, that are just as confusing.

For those who don't know what I'm referring to (it's very brief so you may have to rewind a few times):

FM4 was the last game where you paid for the damage IIRC, but it was so minor it hardly made a difference in the end. What I really miss is the upgrade system from FM1 that had a bunch of different tire brands that all had different specs and attributes; some would offer more grip but less longevity, some were more durable but less effective in the short races, etc. It's something I'd love to see again.

Decided to prolong my time on FH by using a kudosprime randomiser to decide a car to build for all sorts of situations. Land Rover series 2 was chosen, made a nice A class rally, surprisingly good road vehicle. Highlight was drifting due to my inability to prior do it, scored well only to be beat by a fellow member in a BMW Isetta!

Next up would be a faster high speed build for Forzathons

Edit: Strange... the Land Rover S2 FE has a 5L V8 DSC swap option whilst the regular one doesn’t, instead having the racing V8

We have a thread for that, it might save you some time!

Last night, after failing once again to make progress in Yakuza 0 because of the constant crashes, I loaded up FH4 and found about six people drifting around a roundabout near my house. One of them had a HKS-liveried 350Z so I thought I'd go and copy their car but sadly the only livery tagged 'HKS' that looked like what they had isn't THAT great, but I forgot the Amuse kit existed so I still made a drift car with it on anyway. Then I fell into an abyss of drift car builds which included a Veyron SS, R32 (with the Nissan Altia JTCC livery and widebody conversion), 242 Turbo Evo and... That might be it actually because I assume I ran out of money. I forgot that Drift Club cars have presets that replicate those tunes, the 240SX from the first one is really nice.

What’s different about the Gymkhana Fiesta and the ‘normal’ M Sport Fiesta WRC?

Just the livery like all Gymkhana 10 cars
There was some talk about the standard rims being lighter on the Gymkhana car.

Not sure if it's noticeable when you upgrade to S1/900 but as far as I'm aware the cars aren't 100% identical.

I believe it was FM5. I remember taking a photo of the end race screen because my Celica had the damage model that resembles GT and it’s elastic body work when damaged.

EDIT: Found the picture but I was completely wrong, there was no damage to pay

Still, the car is ridiculous

What is with speed zones like Sudmoss, I drive past it on the road but no flash, no results. Is it not on the road, there is another one like this where I drive thru it and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong, it is only a few of them.

Wait, there are zones and traps. Guess I dont understand the difference.

A speed zone is a length of road with a two cameras, one at the beginning and one at the end. With a speed zone you’re aiming to get the highest average speed between the two cameras.

A speed trap is just a single camera which measures your speed as you go through the one camera.

Given the games preference to Ford Mustang, Focus, RS200, Transits and Raptors, it's hard to believe it's just some accident and not paid advertising.

Nah. I can't imagine Ford somehow being sold on the "value" of that, as far as advertising.

"I wasn't going to buy a Ford vehicle, but then all of the other drivers in my racing game kept picking the Ford Focus RS, and I decided I had to have one!"

It's probably just considered a low priority bug with the randomization or something.

I suspect they decided to hold off any fundamental changes to the livery system, until the next generation. I'd be interested to know how development of those kinds of features is even handled, since both Forza franchises essentially "share" it. Does Turn 10 handle the core tool kit for the games?

If you have the points you could buy the Alfa Romeo 8C FE in the Forzathon Store as its a credit boosting car but you don't have long left to get it.

One of the best ways is a custom motorway race from the Edinburgh Cross Country event (now would be a good time to look while it's still Summer). A 10 lap race takes nearly 45mins in a super/hypercar to complete. The advances of this are:

-500,000+ credits per race (I usually get 529,000 with the Lambo Reventon FE with credits boost and full car mastery)

- the race is designed to be easily winnable as the AI drive around underpasses and around the slip road exits so the AI can be set to Unbeatable

- plenty of skill points (I normally get about 60 points a race with the Reventon FE)

- you end up with 8 or 9 wheelspins at the end as well.

I'd also look at 50 lap races around circuits and doing multiple lap mega races like the Goliath and Marathon.
