Gives you a brief overview of the map and other bits

Is it bad that I thought that was the Horizon 3 map at first? It reminds me of the Yarra Valley area. Has the same kind of long, sweeping roads too.

Are we just going to ignore the fact the R34 has now become classified a retro sports car? It's getting old now!

I felt the same way when the '93 Cobra became a "classic" car as is the first gen Viper....

T10/PG's confirmed that traffic cars will be ghosted inside speed and drift zones: https://forums.forzamotorsport.net/turn10_postsm930964_As-a-Drifter--I-m-hesistant.aspx#post_930964

That's a hell of a concession.

Any second now I'll wake up...

I know it's just a small detail, but that's what has me excited. The attention Playground is putting on these little QOL features makes me feel really hopeful for this game to be the best open world racing experience I've had since TDU1. I mean nearly every little gripe I've had about the series in the past has been addressed and fixed for FH4. The only thing missing is confirmation of whether or not we can at least choose our own season in offline mode, because I don't want to wait 4 weeks for a chance to take photos in the snow, or in a colorful field. I'll buy it and love it regardless, but confirmation of that would make the game pretty much perfect for me.

From what I understand, the seasons still change weekly when in offline mode, but it's tied to your system clock.

Looks like Forzacentral has been shut down today... Maybe because they broke the NDA...

Forzacentral gets shut down fairly regularly. I think it's the struggle to pay the hosting bills.

A few Youtubers have said you can choose the season for events, but you're stuck with the current season in free roam. Even offline it runs off the console's clock

That'd be a shame. In FH3 when you quit a night time race it stays dark so I was hoping that after an autumn race or event you'd get leaves on the ground even in December or July until you next went online. I hope Forzatographers don't end up having to change their system clocks just to get the perfect shot.

Perhaps setting up a blueprint bucket list would give you thirty minutes of custom season provided you didn't reach the objective.

I'm not surprised, since outside of 1 thread per game (the car list, which sort of morphs into a general discussion area) it's a dead forum. :indiff:

I still read it from time to time but I don't think they have the userbase to properly sustain the site.

Even forzamotorsport.net has activity droughts in certain subforums; forums just aren't as popular as they once were.

The constant down times were a big cause for user drop off. We lost a good chunk of regulars as a result.

It’s gotten a bit more traffic than what it was at it’s lowest, but yes, it’s far from its glory days.

They unfortunatly do and that’s pretty much why I don’t visit there often. I wish Forza Planet was more successful as there is a lack of options when it comes to tolerable Forza communities.

Meanwhile, prepare to meet me in the FH4 game world as I drive around asking for directions to a mountain called Molehill.

Honestly they don't even need to ghost traffic cars in drift and speed zones. Just treat them like any other stretch of the road and I'll be happy. It was the decision to throw a ton of cars into those zones that really frustrated me. I have a hard enough time with drifting, I don't need a dozen rolling road blocks, too.

My total Forza score is 19,577 points which means I am just 423 points away from getting my player tier up to 12. So I'm going to spend the next three months working away at Motorsport 5, 6, and 7, and Horizon 2 and 3 to get those last points before FH4 comes out.
