Forza Horizon 4 - Master Car List

I think the point to take away from the Mustang and Camaro comment is that FH4 lacks several cars that would fit right into the UK setting - cars that were in FH3's Australia and perhaps less fitting there (such as the AM V8 Vantage). This is disappointing, but go ahead and argue over goal posts. Classic around these parts!

So have they come out and said that they removed the Aston in order to keep a Mustang?

Nobody is forcing you to come here, just like nobody is forcing you to buy the Forza games which you obviously haven't been enjoying.

Well... We were arguing a while ago that the most likely culprit for the exclusion of certain cars was the limited memory budget for the game. If that is the case, I think "why did PG feel the need to include so many American muscle cars while leaving an Aston Martin Vantage on the cutting floor" is a good question to ask. Although I wouldn't go as far as to say, "they have removed the Vantage to make room for another Mustang", nor would I consider the selection of both classic and modern British metal on offer to be lacking.

Of course, all of this discussion, which is mostly centered around the aforementioned Aston Martin, may be rendered moot by the introduction of a certain V8 Vantage in an eventual Bond-themed day one car pack (about which I guess we'll find out today? Fingers crossed!).

True, but I don’t think it should come as a surprise that a brand they obviously have a very good relationship with comes before one they don’t.

One theory I'm thinking of is they did take out some cars to for newer (or at least new to Horizon) cars due to limited disc space and that the rest of the cars could come either as a day one patch or be added through seasons*

*I say this because the WIR for the car list says "Look for more cars to come via the Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass, as well as more surprises to come with each new season in the game!"

Yeah, that bit is interesting, I wonder if it means we are supposed to expect freebies just about every week? I am definitely looking forward the first season change now.

I said this about 3 months ago;

I mean it's built from the ground up to be a more engaging, long-term title than any previous FH Game. Seasons, Shared World, Blueprint, Forzathons every week/day/hour, Forzathon shop etc. In order to facilitate that longevity, you need content, and I'm sure that's where a lot of the "cut" or "chosen not be ported" cars come in. Manufacturer spotlight has been a thing in FM7 for two months and I wouldn't be surprised to see it come to FH4 e.g. It's Mercedes week in Horizon! Drive the all new 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 63 Sedan in the latest car pack. Also, the 2004 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG is now available Forzathon shop for x number of points! You get what I mean..

FH3 got around 30 unique models for free post launch through Forzathon/Barn Finds, we could see something similar in FH4, lining up around seasons. Whether they're the cars your looking for to return is another story

We still have the XA and XB Falcon, but my favorite Falcon the XY is gone.

I will miss you.

I think it's pretty much confirmed at this point Mitsubishi is completely gone for the most part, but that doesn't mean other missing cars won't be given out via Forzathon or when Seasons update.

That was my exact point.

I do hope the '71 Falcon XY comes back in a Forzathon. I really feel in love with that car in FM7, so I started using it more in FH3 recently.

Not that I expected anything different, but the trend of eliminating more "pedestrian vehicles" continues. I realize video games are at least partially about exploring fantasies not available in the real world (like driving hypercars) but there are also more mundane fantasies (like driving your own car, or at least something similar, in irresponsible ways without consequence) that I think are worth something. By my count there are 30 front wheel drive cars and 32 Ferraris. That's pretty lopsided, IMO.

Does anyone read the magazine Modern Classics? As with most motoring publications (printed in English anyways) it's published in the UK and it's all about the classics of the 80s and 90s. I would think a title like Forza Horizon 4, set in the UK, would be ripe for featuring more of these machines. Where's the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA? Honda Accord Type R? Nissan Primera 20V? Mazda 323 GTR? How about a TVR Cerbera or Griffith? Or switching to more contemporary vehicles, things like the Suzuki Swift or Renault Twingo.

I guess Gen-Z (the influenced generation) is really the target here. Now pardon me, I have to go and yell at people to get off my lawn.

I would love to see some of the sports saloons of the 90’s and 00’s make an appearance in FH4 such as the Nissan Primera GT, Honda Accord Euro-R, Mazda 6, BMW 330i, Peugeot 406, Renault Laguna and Ford Mondeo ST220

Would be even better if they were given Super Touring style kits to prepare them for FM8

Yes! The Super Touring saloons of the 90s were some of my favorite race cars of all time.

Even the alfa 75 is gone :(

And

Alfa Romeo 155
Alpine GTA Le Mans
Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2 models)
BMW M635 CSi
Honda S800
Lamborghini Jalpa
Mazda Cosmo
Mercedes 280 SL
Mercedes 300 SEL
Opel Kadett
Opel GT
Porsche 928
Subaru SVX
Volvo 123 GT
Volvo 1800 E
Every Mitsubishi
Every Toyota (expected, but still)
Every Lexus (expected, but still)

What did I miss? That's not even counting those road cars many people expected to finally get carried over from FM7. It's like a bad dream.

„many missing cars will be added with each season“.... That’s perfect, really nice

Edit: the RS6 and RS7 seem to be missing, but they are on the car list. That’s strange

Edit 2: It looks like only 150 cars might be obtainable by the player at launch, only 8 of over 25 Porsches and 7 of the 31 Ferraris can be bought in the Buy Car menu

Some quick screengrabs of the Autoshow.

The PI values seem lower for some cars compared to FH3, like quite a bit lower. Each car has a rarity. Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary.

There are some high value cr cars I spotted like;

1939 Auto Union Type D - 10,000,000cr
2018 Bugatti Chrion - 2,800,000cr
2016 Pagani Huarya BC - 1,600,000cr

There are also a number of cars missing as @TheOE pointed out but I doubt they're going down the same route as FM7 with the whole locked cars drip feed thing (from the initial 460 launch roster at least). These could just be the on disc cars or they could have some sort of in game progression. It's also a dev build so maybe they didn't have them enabled? Idk. I asked on twitter but have yet to get an answer.

They did say nothing was going to get locked. The idea that the disk doesn't contain all the cars would be my bet as well, same as it was with FM6, FH3 an FM7.

The lack of "pedestrian everyday cars" is what's making me not want to buy it. I don't want to bomb around in a supercar I just want to hoon around in something attainable. .

Pedestrian cars were what made me love gt in the beginning too.

For a title set in the UK, they sure dropped the ball on Rolls Royce and lack of minis. Even Lotus could have done with more variations of the Esprit, not just the V8. Maybe I prefer a 4 cylinder Esprit?!

This car list is meh and the ppl in charge of choosing what cars to go in are no longer automotive enthusiasts or ppl who love cars and car culture. For the YouTube car spotter generation maybe.

Its like the person who grew up as one of us, starting out with pedestrian cars, tinkering with them, and generally loving cars, but suddenly comes into money, has all his ferraris and supercars and now shuns cars that are "below" him.

There is a cool Z3 M coupe, but if it comes at the expense of the 75 and still the exclusion of an Alfetta gtv... (don't even get me started on the alfasud sprint) Not really worth it.

Weird. They also went through the My Cars screen on stream a little earlier and these two cars showed up in the garage

PHqCmda.png

If you notice my screenshots above, these weren't available in the Autoshow. Yet here they are in the garage.

These could be wheelspin exclusive cars maybe? Or for completing certain Horizon Life challenges?

After PG saying nothing exclusive would be in the Forzathon shop this is weird.. I guess we only have a few weeks to find out what really is the case. I doubt they'll do an FM7 tho.
