This might be Motorsport related but I noticed one interesting car...

Awwwww yeah the Starion's coming back

(also that Lambo I guess)

I'm now expecting the Lamborghini Rivuelto to be one of the 30 car pass cars in FM(8), but doubtful it'll make it into FH5 sadly. The Sian coupe doesn't make too much sense for FH5 either to be honest.

A new Facebook post appeared on the Forza Horizon page confirming Donut Media cars will be in the June update, and will reveal what they are tomorrow.

Their addition of the overlanding parts was probably in preparation for the addition of this Tacoma.
Maybe what we are getting is not a "2002 Donut Media Toyota Tacoma Hi-Low car" but a stock 2002 Tacoma.
And maybe there will be a new Horizon Story that upgrades it to recreate their model and take on challenges like the one in their video?

Would love for us to get a Stock Tacoma but I feel like they would have teased a new story on the "coming soon" tab if there actually was one.

I wish these cars would be implemented like the Hoonigan cars in FH3 or Barrett-Jackson in FH4 - a seperate car pack. Then we could see some real "upgrade heroes" in the playlist like;

2000 Honda Prelude
2000 Honda Civic Si
1995 Honda CRX Del Sol
1998 Mitsubishi FTO
1985 Mazda RX-7
2003 Infiniti G35
2005 Subaru Legacy

Apparently Reveluto made its way to The Crew Motorfest ...

They’ll never return.

It’s either a Microsoft policy or a part of their licensing agreement, but it’s been almost a decade since they went away.
Could be legal reasons. And sadly it seems like this iconic trim has been legally changed. Here we don't call them Camaro SS anymore. They're known as 2SS or 1LT (and yes, Chevy utilizes those trims. I'm not making this up.). Maybe they can return. Unfortunately, this particular trim model is, how do I say this... obsolete? Or rather, they're usin' it on EVs.

They can't last forever. The old saying, "Nothing lasts forever," is a permanent thing. Surely this has to stop, right?

It has to be some kind of misguided policy of Microsoft. Even Hot Wheels uses SS emblems on their age 3+ mainline cars from time to time.

Based on available evidence (e.g. same treatment applied to affected non-GM cars like the EB110 and last-gen Celica, and applicable cars showing up uncensored in other games released in years since like GT7 and NFS: Unbound), it is 100% a Microsoft (or at the very least a T10 and PGG) policy. We all have our theories on the reasons behind it and its merits (or lack thereof), but the bottom line is none of those things matter because no one in a position of authority in the year 2023 is going to be brave enough to reverse it and politely tell the person(s) that inspired it to open a dictionary and read the entry for the word "context."

Anyway, staying on the Chevrolet tangent, anyone else notice there seems to be some sort of artifacting or texture bleeding through on the lower edge of the K10's right side door? It's especially noticeable when you paint it a light color.

I am really not looking forward to today and the next series update as I really don't like DM, and the fact that we will most likely get only slightly modified versions of cars that we already have in the game and no new and/or returning cars further pours salt in the wound.

I do understand that not every update is for everyone, and I am sure that there will be lots of people who will enjoy the sequel DM update, and I am very happy for them all, but me personally I am really not excited for it, but I guess we shall see what will it be very soon.

And also the fact that TCM just unveiled the Revuelto while we'll probably be getting some modified 350Zs further rubs me the wrong way, and I know this sounds very entitled and bratty given the last 3 amazing updates, and I'm sorry about it, but I'm just a bit disappointed.

My sentiments exactly mate this time around.....apart from the 350Z comment. I have a soft spot for the 350Z.

It doesn't sound bratty or entitled, you've put your point across quite well in my opinion.

They should add 1 or 2 new cars alongside the Donut Media cars. Really hoping for the fl5 CTR that they were scanning about 6 months back.

I more interested in the test track feature. they mentioned that you could do it with your friends (correct me if I'm misremembering this). It would be cool testing and doing incremental updates with friends.

The test track feature has me intrigued as well. I make heavy use of the Horizon Circuit in Rivals mode for testing my cars and tunes, finding it a fairly well balanced environment to test them, but if that test track turns out to be a better or more complete way to do that I might switch over.

Just for the record, it's actually Revuelto, which is yet another unfortunate Spanish word for a fast car, as the main meaning is 'revolted'

Reventón (which is the mainly used word to describe a tyre puncture on the go) was also a good contender.

I remember the official statement on the Forza forums being something in the lines of 'align with GM/Chevrolet naming policies' which, due to the reasons you exposed (other games being free to use the SS naming and logos) doesn't make any sense and means the actual reason is something they don't want to publicly disclouse, especially when the GM relationship is as good as it is now (with the GM cars being in the cover as a starting point)

Too bad only the Monte Carlo SS can be restored to what it should look like, thanks to its SS logos being stickers on the body (I made a full design years ago to solve that) but as for the others, not much that can be done sadly.
