I love this Impala, it looks really cool.
However, this car is equipped with an 1100hp engine.
Is it possible to use this car in the S1 class with slick tires and AWD conversion?

If it ends up in the S2 class, this car will probably continue to collect dust in the garage.
I really don't think this car will reach S2/998.

I wish all these cars came stock with all the movie modifications as upgrade options.
The impala and the 2 chargers would have been great alternative for the stock game cars.

A lot of fun returning cars in this double update. I’m especially looking forward to the four classic sports cars being added to the auto show, and the 280SL and Dino. I’m mostly ¯\(ツ)/¯ about the F&F content. I’ve never been a fan, but it sells, so why not.

null car.png

After layering the images, it's clearly showing that the second secret santa car thumbnail is definitely the "null car" that PG has used since FH3. so it is just a placeholder image.

After more digging, this image also showed up on parts manufacturers. So i guess there is parts on the car that you can equip/unequip?? The text string for this manufacturer is "Universal Studios Fast and Furious"

So, according to Fast X lore:
Isabel drove this car when she participated in street races in Rio de Janeiro. She chose to put an RB26 engine into the car so it could handle the amount of boost.
The turbos on an RB26(any RB really) are on the other side of the engine...

It's not even PG's fault, the car is actually like that in the movie, but it's actually got an LS or something under the hood.

So:

  • 4x FH4 cars added to the autoshow in December
  • 4x playlist cars in December
  • 2x secret santa cars in December
  • 5x Fast X car pack DLC cars in December
  • 8x playlist cars in January

The total # unique cars (not including promo specials) is currently 776.
By the end of December season we'll be on 791.
By the end of January season we'll be on 799.
The true number would be 752 cars with whatever we have now.

  1. 2018 Apollo Intensa Emozione “Welcome Pack”
  2. 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition
  3. 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Forza Edition
  4. 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS Anniversary Edition
  5. 1969 Dodge Charger R/T Forza Edition

Every manufacturer gets added to that list, as it used to be used to brand all of the stock parts until FM4. They don't get removed either, which is why FH5 has placeholder images for brands like Hirsch, who do Saab tuning parts, and Panoz, who haven't had a car featured in 12 years. What it suggests to me is that those cars will be grouped under a FNF brand instead of Dodge / Chevy etc., like the James Bond cars were in FH4 and the Hoonigan cars still are.

Donut did a featurette on the cars of Fast X when the movie released, and they immediately pointed out the turbo was on the wrong side. Ten movies in, and they’re still hoping people who aren’t massive car nuts will be watching. That said, a wrong turbo placement is the last thing to be worrying about when it comes the FF movies.

Best believe we will be hitting 800 cars in no time which will officially be the largest car roster in all of forza history. I dont even think FM23 will surpass it but I could be wrong if they plan to add cars beyond 3 years from now. 300+ cars is a lot to add to a game though

FH4 ended with 752 'unique' cars.
FM7 ended with 834 'unique' cars. Which did include some duplicate race cars like Formula E or V8 Supercars with differing liveries.

So no, there's still a way to go before FH5 overtakes FM7 in terms of total 'unique' cars in the roster.

Thanks to @aeqnx, this should sum both series up well in terms of cars added.

As for new cars...

Is the 2022 BRZ much different from the BRZ we currently have?

New Morgan - interesting.

Lotus 340R - wow that looks stupid unusual

The four auto show cars - nice, particularly the Aston Martin and the Porsche.

Fast X car pack - Couldn't care less about the flip car, and not crazy about the Hellcat Redeye. The Z, like all classic Zs, is interesting, as is the Impala. I like classic Chargers, but we already have some that are virtually identical to this one. Unfortunately I haven't found enough to like in any of the car packs so far to actually spend money on them.

Community Choice cars first four - Eh...don't care, nice, don't care, ooo, a crap car that can be heavily modified for all sorts of purposes!
Community Choice cars second four - don't care, don't care, don't care, see comments about 280 SL

I'm just not a fan of the super high end cars of the past 20 years or so, I guess. I definitely don't have as much fun with them in-game as I do with the lower end cars.

FM7 ended with 785 unique cars. This does not include any Forza editions, of which there are 49 of them.

That means ten more cars before FH5 overtakes FM7.

FH4 on the other hand, ended with 712 unique cars, as 25 are Forza editions, seven of which are pre-order cars and eight of which are "Welcome Pack" cars.

Give it two more years and FM8 will get there.

If the Flip Car actually flipped cars it could be a fun addition, but would probably need to be banned from Horizon Open if that were to be the case.
