I'm glad PG decided to go that route rather the former. Goes to show just how hard they're trying to keep the authenticity in the game. Most developers would be like "Oh it's Mexico so therefore all Mexican music only". Nah, I much prefer this way to be honest, especially after their explanation.Playground are talking about the music right now on Let’s Go.
They started out with an all-Mexican station but scrapped it after realizing that real Mexican radio stations mix in Mexican music with U.S./international music. They changed course to add to the authenticity.
I was disappointed at first but after their explanation I think this was the right move.
I wonder what version of the game they are playing now, this one had 538 cars in the files. On my spreadsheet I now have 528 cars (everything revealed + preview build) so that’s 10 cars missing. It’s not the welcome pack cars, not the 18 FE cars, not the season 1 cars since those are all already counted for. Either they are holding back some cars or else whatever build they are playing has a few other cars in it that we shouldn’t know about yet (probably season 2 cars and the first car pass cars). Now with the game gone gold, I hope they would reveal the finalized car list, besides the list of songs featured in the game.
With that out of the way, my worst fears of Black pink featuring in the soundtrack have been debunked.
Now where's the rest of the Stellantis brands (Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, etc.) and some other cars from other brands that we might have missed?
According to Mike Brown, he says that the folks there at Playground were playing the final version of the game.I wonder what version of the game they are playing now, this one had 538 cars in the files. By my count we are at 530, but I'm assuming we'll be getting the official car list very very soon if the game has gone gold.I wonder what version of the game they are playing now, this one had 538 cars in the files. Like I said, imagine having Mike Brown saying the Stratos is his favorite in terms of engine sound just for it to be missing from the game. That would not look good for PGIt does not look promising for Alfa, Lancia & Fiat, though I would have thought PG would have made a statement by now if they were missing.
If there's no Blackpink or BTS I'm straight up considering boycotting the game. That'll show them.Holy duck, this soundtrack! Dua Lipa, BMTH, Bomba Estereo, Lil Nas X, Whethan - I love it!
Best soundtrack in a Horizon game ever, cannot wait to bop to it in less than 3 weeks time![]()
If Horizon does ever go to Japan, I fully expect Blackpink and/or BTS to be part of the soundtrack, since they’re the biggest groups in the world and K-POP is obviously huge in Asia.If there's no Blackpink or BTS I'm straight up considering boycotting the game. That'll show them.![]()
You mean Horizon XS? If so, then yes.Did they show the rock station?
Nice, not a bad line up, do like a bit of the Foo Fighters, Killers, BMTH, Royal Blood and Nothing But Thieves.
Now I finally know what this track is the mention of it reminds me of Drowning In Berlin by The Mobiles. So I watched GameRiot's map tour and one of my guesses was right.
Radio Eterna indeed has Sobre Las Olas. I'm stoked. It's a beautiful composition.
Yeah indeed, I didn’t get to the end of the stream before I posted that.According to Mike Brown, he says that the folks there at Playground were playing the final version of the game.
It should be noted that going gold, in the modern age, post the advent of digital distribution, doesn't mean what it used to mean.Yeah indeed, I didn’t get to the end of the stream before I posted that.
So 538 different cars in total in the game (including WP and FE cars). I assume the season 1 reward cars and 4 weeks of VIP cars will be in there as well as season 1 starts less than a week after early release date. And I’m sure in those first few days they want to focus on tackling bugs rather than adding seasonal content.
538 cars on the gone gold edition.
Yes I know that but I strongly doubt they will add in extra cars on the day 1 patch. That is usually bug fixes and polishing, certainly not adding new content last minute. And certainly not how PlayGround games did day 1 patches in the past.It should be noted that going gold, in the modern age, post the advent of digital distribution, doesn't mean what it used to mean.
Going gold was referred to the game being finished (ready for sale), in order to be sent out for printing. Nowadays, with digital distribution, and rapid game update deployment, what went gold and what you actually end up downloading on launch day, may be quite different, and may include everything from simple bug fixes to extra content that needed more polishing. Day 1 patch anyone? Games today are in a constant state of evolution and FH5 will be certainly the same.
There's one more thing, I just remembered, that's also important to note. That may be the final build, but it's still an internal one under their control. If there's something they want to keep as a surprise for later, they can open the dev-tools and lock it away. Say you're livestreaming and a random drivatar passes by, in a car you were keeping as a surprise. Well, surprise ruined. So it's best to temporarily remove that car from the selection to avoid that issue. I bet 538 cars is what you will have in the game until the season 2 update drops.
That is true. And definitely possible. But I'd rather not set myself up for disappointment tbh. There's one more thing, I just remembered, that's also important to note. That's some food for thought.
I'm taking a similar approach, mostly to try and get more invested in the cars I do have. Hopefully avoiding the downtime of building bunches of one-off gimmick cars to chase the checklists will keep me from getting burned out this time around. In fact, I won’t be going out of my way to collect every car in the game this time. The only cars I’ll purchase are my absolute favorites and specific cars needed to do an objective, like the Weekly Challenges. It will be interesting to see how my collection will grow by just mostly obtaining cars through rewards.
Supposedly the BMTH song in the game is Teardrops, if it’s the official clean version then it should be fine.Bring Me The Horizon is probably going to be censored beyond recognition
Fair enough. That is true. And definitely possible. But I'd rather not set myself up for disappointment tbh.
From all accounts, it looks like between 538-543 will be the launch number of vehicles, with either
Making up the roster to 538 or 543. All of the New to Forza cars have been revealed. Anything else is a bonus at this point.
- Fiat/Lancia/Alfa/Abarth
- Forza Editions
- The Day One Formula Drift Car Pack (which is part of the Car Pass and is coincidentally 8 vehicles large)
And yet we haven't seen any of it action. The mode could have easily had one whole 50 minute livestream dedicated to it....but nothing."We're very excited – a little bit nervous because you can create basically anything with it,
