It wasn't missing. Mike did set up an event on the stream but it was just like Blueprint with a few extra options.I'm also very very surprised that not one of the Let's Go streams spent one single second on Events Lab.
This feature could really be a game changer for Horizon's longevity in general; being able to create not only custom race tracks (with props and AI) but custom game modes that can be played against friends with changing rulesets.
Mike himself even said
And yet we haven't seen any of it action. The mode could have easily had one whole 50 minute livestream dedicated to it....but nothing.
The game has gone gold yet one of it's most promising features is MIA from footage.
Now I hope PG have a plan to show it before release (maybe a VIDOC?) but it seems unlikely.
What is more likely is that the mode might be delayed until Series 2 or 3 of FH5.
Which is a little concerning. We'll have to wait and see though.
Same here, gives me a few days to discover or rediscover bands (FH4 made me realise The Wonder Years were still a thing, for instance), and then I turn it off and listen to what I feel like. Especially if the game still does that weird same song loop during long races like the Goliath it's been doing since FH3.I will give the radio a few days but I usually have my own music when I play racing games.
He didn't go into advanced settings, create a route, take a look at the new props, race a route with props + AI etc.It wasn't missing. Mike did set up an event on the stream but it was just like Blueprint with a few extra options.
It also might tell me something I might need to know, like in FH4 the first couple barn finds I heard about were on the radio.Same here, gives me a few days to discover or rediscover bands (FH4 made me realise The Wonder Years were still a thing, for instance), and then I turn it off and listen to what I feel like. I agree but I was addressing your statements about the feature being "missing in action" and likely not available at launch. He didn't go into advanced settings, create a route, take a look at the new props, race a route with props + AI etc.
So much more should have been shown.
As someone who became a fan of CHVRCHES through these games, I'm a bit sad they haven't got a song in FH5, especially as they have not long since released a new album.Of significant note regarding the soundtrack is the absence of CHVRCHES, who have been in every game since the 2nd installment. Too bad they're missing from this one.
Yeah I would’ve loved to have seen some stuff from Screen ViolenceAs someone who became a fan of CHVRCHES through these games, I'm a bit sad they haven't got a song in FH5, especially as they have not long since released a new album.

This is what I was expecting to see instead of drift and top speed builds; someone featuring the ability to turn anything into anything, which seems to be even more prevalent than it used to be in past titles. I have a 458 rally car in FH4 painted in Alitalia colors in a bit of a modern Lancia Stratos theme, and I can hardly wait to turn something like a 488 Pasta into a rally-raid car in this one.

yeah i hope they do add a 4 speed if not at least a 5 speed race transmissionI just wish there was a 4 speed racing gearbox. A lot of muscle cars tend to just run out of grunt before they reach 6th gear unless you really get finicky with how you tune them, so an option to keep the stock number of gears would be nice. But all told more options are always welcome, and being able to tell physics to go shove off because I want to make a Jesko to do things it's never meant to do will actually make me want to use the flavor of the month hypercar, so that's good too.
There's technically a way around this. In FH3 & 4, you can take a racing transmission and tune the ratios so that the last 2 gears have the same ratio as 4th, effectively creating a 4 speed by making 5th & 6th redundant. You then adjust 1-4 and the Final Drive as you desire (IIRC, decreasing 4th also automatically decreases the ratios for 5th & 6th). I remember turning the Dodge Dart HE from FH3 into a 3-speed because it was the only way to make it useful. Even with the new transmission options, I doubt PG would do away with this in FH5.I just wish there was a 4 speed racing gearbox.
