I watched the first and maybe second Let’s Go streams but then after that I’d just watch someone like AR12’s videos to get the short summarised version because the Lets Go streams whilst informative also had a bit of waffle in them IMHO.

They were upfront about the lack of VW in FH3 and Toyota/Mitsubishi/Tesla/Rolls Royce in FH4. The fact they haven't addressed the missing Italians makes me think they are still negotiating with Stellantis (ugh I hate that name (yes I'm going to say that every time I mention Stellantis (Ugh, I hate that name (See?)))) Let's hope for a free Abarth/Alfa Romeo/Fiat/Lancia pack shortly after launch.

I'm also very very surprised that not one of the Let's Go streams spent one single second on Events Lab.

This feature could really be a game changer for Horizon's longevity in general; being able to create not only custom race tracks (with props and AI) but custom game modes that can be played against friends with changing rulesets.

Mike himself even said

And yet we haven't seen any of it action. The mode could have easily had one whole 50 minute livestream dedicated to it....but nothing.

The game has gone gold yet one of it's most promising features is MIA from footage.

Now I hope PG have a plan to show it before release (maybe a VIDOC?) but it seems unlikely.

What is more likely is that the mode might be delayed until Series 2 or 3 of FH5.

Which is a little concerning. We'll have to wait and see though.
It wasn't missing. Mike did set up an event on the stream but it was just like Blueprint with a few extra options.

I will give the radio a few days but I usually have my own music when I play racing games.
Same here, gives me a few days to discover or rediscover bands (FH4 made me realise The Wonder Years were still a thing, for instance), and then I turn it off and listen to what I feel like. Especially if the game still does that weird same song loop during long races like the Goliath it's been doing since FH3.

It also might tell me something I might need to know, like in FH4 the first couple barn finds I heard about were on the radio.

He didn't go into advanced settings, create a route, take a look at the new props, race a route with props + AI etc.

So much more should have been shown.
I agree but I was addressing your statements about the feature being "missing in action" and likely not available at launch.

The game looks great and HUGE improvement on sound design. Might be the best-sounding racing game on the market.
The only annoying thing is the hand's animations in cockpit view. It's not even aligned with the wheel on some cars. Like in this video:

I hope it's just an early build and they will fix that on the release.

From the footage right now, the Valhalla sounds like the intended V6

As someone who became a fan of CHVRCHES through these games, I'm a bit sad they haven't got a song in FH5, especially as they have not long since released a new album.
Yeah I would’ve loved to have seen some stuff from Screen Violence

This is what I was expecting to see instead of drift and top speed builds; someone featuring the ability to turn anything into anything, which seems to be even more prevalent than it used to be in past titles. I have a 458 rally car in FH4 painted in Alitalia colors in a bit of a modern Lancia Stratos theme, and I can hardly wait to turn something like a 488 Pasta into a rally-raid car in this one.

Hmm... Horizon Pulse has Gorillaz... Which is none other than "Valley of the Pagans", that one Gorillaz MV that used GTA V as a filming location.

Yeah this video got me excited for the possibilities of the customisation.

I'm just hoping the Racing 959 also gets the full off road tires. I'd love to tune it into an actual Rally Raid car and not the nerfed Group B car that we got in FH4.

Edit: Oooh, that also means I hopefully get to build this little monstrosity....

...which, as far as I know, has never been featured in a game before. Consider me hype.

I just wish there was a 4 speed racing gearbox. A lot of muscle cars tend to just run out of grunt before they reach 6th gear unless you really get finicky with how you tune them, so an option to keep the stock number of gears would be nice. But all told more options are always welcome, and being able to tell physics to go shove off because I want to make a Jesko to do things it's never meant to do will actually make me want to use the flavor of the month hypercar, so that's good too.

yeah i hope they do add a 4 speed if not at least a 5 speed race transmission

There's technically a way around this. In FH3 & 4, you can take a racing transmission and tune the ratios so that the last 2 gears have the same ratio as 4th, effectively creating a 4 speed by making 5th & 6th redundant. You then adjust 1-4 and the Final Drive as you desire (IIRC, decreasing 4th also automatically decreases the ratios for 5th & 6th). I remember turning the Dodge Dart HE from FH3 into a 3-speed because it was the only way to make it useful. Even with the new transmission options, I doubt PG would do away with this in FH5.

That being said, a proper 4 speed racing gearbox would still be welcome.
