Yes! šŸ˜Ž

Just go to my shared events. Select the race you want to share and Push the Right stick. (View Event information)

I got one my first creations here. 815 650 392
Expert Difficulty or Unbeatable is recommended. The AI in custom events are kinda slow compared to how they behaved in FH4.
Okay I found the Share Code : 139 - 111 - 528. Do me a favor and give it a like, thanks.

Took a break from Willy grinding  to check out the Horizon Arcade. The drift one was empty but the speed one I tried had a couple of other drivers in. We managed to complete round 2 of 3 but couldn'tcrack the speed zone enough ti es to complete it.

I guess ebisu stylers are solitary creatures and it's like that Whitesnake song where he sings "like a drifter I was born to walk alone".

Not sure whether the Sesto or the Hoonigan RS200 is easier to get 500k skill chains in. I'm leaning towards the Hoonigan atm with its 7x skill multiplier.

Hey folks, Iā€™ve created a build for the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA FE for skill point farming during skill songs. This car is now officially called a Pontiac Smactus šŸ˜ and itā€™s my go to car each time the DJ plays a skill song.

Iā€™ve compared the skill tree with all other FE cars I have (9 out of 17 cars) and the Pontiac has by far the best perk tree for free roam farming. The Hoonigan RS200 (which I also have) is certainly worse when you are farming with a skill song active. For farming without a skill song I think they are tied (the Hoonigan has a 7x multiplier, the Pontiac has the basic 5x but still has better perks and the FE bonus for drift skills).

Here is all the good stuff about the Pontiac FE and itā€™s perks for free roam farming:
+25% ultimate skill chain
+25% wreckage skills
+15% combo skills
+10% sideswipe skills
+10% drift & E-drift skills
skill multiplier builds 2.5 times as fast
+20% XP from skills in freeroam
FE boost: drift skills

Most efficient way to trigger a ton of the above at once is to initiate a drift and then sideswipe into something destructible, like letā€™s say a cactus. šŸ˜… Smashing into a cactus also gives the smactus skill in FH5, hence the name of the tune.

Most efficient location to farm IMO is the hill slopes on the mountains north of MulegĆ©. On top of the above youā€™ll also get other skills like air, crash landing and kangaroo as well as the occasional speed and burnout.

This tune is very soft on the suspension resulting in really high straight line off-road speeds. For that reason itā€™s also very suited for trailblazer PR stunts, some of the off-road danger signs or speed traps and has no problems going though rivers or soft beach sand. Itā€™s also a great car to just explore the map on any surface, looking for bonus boards or jumping to them. Not recommended for any type of racing though since it has poor handling in turns. During an Horizon Arcade drift route event today I also discovered itā€™s actually pretty decent for tarmac drifting as well but youā€™ll need a lot of handbrake action to initiate the drift since the car is not on drift tires.

Below is the tune share code, also the one for the S2 Track Toy speed zone seasonal PR stunt if you still need to do that. And the stealth black design.

share codes:
smactus tune (for skill song farming) : 130 051 299
S2 track toy tune (for seasonal speed zone) : 864 783 211
stealth black livery : 177 189 574

Enjoy!

If anyone hasn't tried it, I highly suggest giving Simulation steering a go. Even as a controller user, it feels a lot more responsive and much less understeer-prone than standard steering. It also seems to make controlling higher-horsepower cars much easier too. The dreaded "Sim Twitch" is still there, but it's easier to reign in than previous Forza games. The only scenario where Simulation might be a bit too much is in very high speed (120+ MPH) drifting, as the car will be much more violent when transitioning.

If nothing else, I kinda want other controller users to try it just so I can make sure I'm not going crazy.

I'm always looking for a good points farmin' car. I'll give this a try tonight.

Will certainly do that! I was already using simulation steering on a controller in FH4 but only for lower powered cars, like D class up to A class or something. Iā€™ll check it out in FH5, havenā€™t tried it yet here.

Iā€™m a controller user and I use simulation steering, manual with clutch, and leave anti lock, TCS, and stability control off. Iā€™m definitely not the fastest, but I think the cars are way more fun to drive that way.

I'm a controller user. I will give it a try. I seem to be having issue with braking/steering into hard or sharp corners. Which in all other iterations of this game I was good at.

Great, let me know how it is for you. I do want to emphasize that it seems to make higher-powered cars easier. I'm not a pro driver by any means, but I'd like to know what others think of it.

Have you adjusted your deadzone settings at all? The default settings do have some deadzone built-in, so if you haven't make sure to adjust that in the advanced controls section.

Like @TokoTurismo and @breyzipp I am now one of the cool kids. The problem is this arrived at my front door just as I was leaving to go to work. So I have about six or seven more hours of just looking at it before I can actually use it. And redeem the special '32 Ford that comes with it. For the people who don't like the design, that's fair. It doesn't have to appeal to everyone. But in it's defense, I think it looks great, especially now that I can see it in the flesh. The semi-smooth top and grippy underside feel great, too. I'm glad I got it.

Ok let me know what you think. Do note the soft suspension as it might take some getting used especially if youā€™re used to the stiffer Hoonigan RS200. šŸ˜… But I like it that way, it creates a lot more kangaroo skills. And it has a nice place next to the Hoonigan, grabbing whatever car fits the situation.
Iā€™m also curious how the Ford Hoonicorn Mustang performs in skill farming, it was next to the BMW M6 FE my go to farming car in FH4, but I donā€™t have it yet in FH5. I think itā€˜s a reward in season 1 though IIRC so I will have it quite soon.

Just been doing a bunch more off-road speed traps with the Pontiac Smactus, worked great except for 1 on the volcano where I had a tighter approach and needed tighter control, thus using the Hoonigan (which for me stil has the stock tune). But on the speed trap next to Teotihuacan both the Hoonigan (stock) and Pontiac couldnā€™t do it. Needed more power. Eventually I did that in a stock Rimac Concept Two. šŸ˜‚ Talking about the Rimac, that is one helluva car even stock for the tarmac speed zones / traps / danger signs and it can even hold its own on dirt. šŸ˜… The Jesko (also stock) is the best for high speed straight line tarmac stuff, the Rimac if you need a bit of cornering added to the mix, the X5M FE if you need a lot of cornering.

I've had it turned on from the start so I don't know what standard steering feels like. The simulation steering can give you a huge amount of understeer but if you go into a corner at the right speed, it will grip just fine.

I've personally found that the car will have a much easier time gripping up and maintaining it through the corners compared to standard steering. It feels like the turning response itself is a little slower, but the way the car behaves itself in a turn is a bit more natural. I think the adjusted physics and tire model in FH5 really shine through with sim steering, but I have no really tangible way to quantify it.

Edit: So, I decided to do some form of "testing" by running a race 3 times (Mangrove Scramble) with the same car (Metro 6R4 tuned to 500HP) 3 different times. 2 races were with sim steering, 1 with standard steering. As I mentioned before, sim steering has a slower turn-in response, but seems to make better use of grip and leans more towards understeer. The car grips up and maintains grip more consistently over the course of a turn, and is a bit hesitant to get the rear end out, and when it does, it straightens-out relatively quickly. By comparison, standard steering has a faster turn-in rate, and is a bit more oversteer-focused, as the car will lose grip a bit more quickly and will try to go into a small slide, but it's very controllable and you can keep the slide going for a bit longer. You were very right about sim steering creating some righteous understeer when entering a corner too fast, as well.

In all 3 attempts, I was able to get a best lap of 1:12.6xx, so it doesn't seem like one setting is faster than the other, thankfully.

Edit edit: Our driver is canonically a fan of Lemon Tea.

I listen to Bass Arena more, I just love Scott's funny and laid-back personality :)
Just a little bit of trivia: Scott Tyler is the only DJ to appear in all five games so far. He's voiced by Ronan Summers, an Irish-American actor with dual citizenship between the two countries.
In other news, I am now a GTP Hall of Famer!
You've always been a hall of famer to me.

Already trying to look up cars with skill perks that can complement each other in maximizing skill point earning rate (AKA skills multiplier + some skills bonus).

Right now I looked that barrel roll glitch involving Super 7 creation mode, and letting the game think you're constantly doing a barrel roll mid-air even though the car isn't moving. Feel like this is going to get patched as that technically shouldn't be happening anyway.

Would be nice to replicate a car with the Drift bonus like the M6 Forza Edition. Looks like that didn't make it into this game. I believe the '69 Charger R/T Forza Edition had Drift Skills Bonus, so I might be looking for this now.

After a few more hours of gameplay, I guess I'm warming up to it. I realized that the slower cars are more fun to drive compared to the usual rockets. I spent time sliding an underpowered Mk.III Supra (turning on sim damage lets you wear the tires and get long drifts.)

The more I play, I start to realize it's a little bit more than FH4 in Central America.

I'm enjoying the AMG Hammer.

The Porsche just looks cool, but it's way to fast and slidey to enjoy.

Yeah same here! My first FH game way back in 2015 was FH2 and one of the many things I absolutely loved about that game was how incredibly well Scottā€™s voice acting was done for a super enthusiastic over the top radio DJ. He has been by far my favourite DJ with Amy taking second place (whoā€™s voice actress also does a great job by the way). Both Bass Arena and Pulse are also my favourite radio stations, I donā€™t listen to anything else much. But there is the occasional great track on Block Party, XS or Hospital as well (sorry Hospital fans, just not my thing! šŸ™ˆ)

Now in FH5 I have only been listening to Bass Arena so far since I really want to hear all the comments Scott makes when I reach certain progression points in the game. Once most of that is ticked off, Iā€™ll listen to Pulse and the other stations as well.

Bass Arena in FH5 is excellent compared to previous game. There is only 1 song that really annoys me, many songs I really like and a few ones I absolutely love. They even got one of my absolute favourite songs of the last few years in it, the Imanbek remix of Roses. Thatā€˜s a song I probably already heard 1000 times before FH5 and I still love it. Perfect song for Bass Arena in an FH game too. ā˜ŗļø

Hmm, I wonder if there's anything interesting in the Event Lab yet. It's been a few days, so I'm sure that some good ideas are starting to...

Ah. Normal service has resumed, I see.

This answer has been correct for every Forza game I've ever played.
FH5 is less bad with the faster cars than earlier Horizon games, but the sweet spot remains B and A class as always.
Now that PI min-maxing isn't as much of a necessity and suspension tuning actually does something noticeable, low-mid S1 cars can be very entertaining with the right setups. S2 is still something of a crapshoot, but they're not all mindless highway drag fodder like in previous games either.
