just under 3 hours to go! I’ve never been this impatient for a festival playlist to start. 😅 Already 100% the “season 0 prologue“ so bring it on! Also with the increased drivatar difficulty in races and the more restricted PR stunts I don’t think completing a festival playlist will be the walk in the park anymore that it was in FH4. I’m all for increased difficulty, I just hope it’s not going to get too though at some point. 🙈

Did they change the tire simulation in FH5 or simply improve the grip?
Either way, it seems that the dually vehicles got better handling in FH5 compared to FH4.
For the daily challenge I took the MB Racing Truck for the first time, and this truck is no longer the understeer monster it was in FH4.

If anyone hasn't tried it, I highly suggest giving Simulation steering a go. Even as a controller user, it feels a lot more responsive and much less understeer-prone than standard steering. It also seems to make controlling higher-horsepower cars much easier too. The dreaded "Sim Twitch" is still there, but it's easier to reign in than previous Forza games. The only scenario where Simulation might be a bit too much is in very high speed (120+ MPH) drifting, as the car will be much more violent when transitioning.

If nothing else, I kinda want other controller users to try it just so I can make sure I'm not going crazy.
This is exactly what I've noticed few days back! Fully agree!

I must confess, had high hopes for the new Trial but players still show in a rental cars... Not to mention the starter Bronco is probably the best choice...
Anyway great first Trial. We won the first two races so we won without the third one. Nice new addition. I'm also worried for when those S2 races will come.

ffb was working fine when i finished playing this morning, now have nothing t300rs , edit, replugging in game helped :)

Can anyone recommend a S1 modern sports car to do the drag strip danger sign in the playlist? My Honda NSX GT keeps coming up 1ft short.

I recall that you can turn the newest Porsche Carrera in a S1 monster by swapping the 918 power unit.

Is anyone ready for comparisons with other games yet? The Crew 2 came off surprisingly well here for a three year old game in my opinion, I was expecting it to be like a grown man fighting a little kid.

I wasted last night grinding and gutting forty Willys Jeeps for a grand total of five million cash. There must be a simpler way to earn money and XP. Let's see what this Alex soundalike has to say...

I still get disconnected errors after a couple hours or so. Seems to be something others on Reddit have faced if you play for a prolonged amount of time.

Has anyone done the Corvette C8 riddle yet? Because you get something special you will have to hunt down. I won't say what it is, so you'll have to find out for yourselves. And from what Haley said, it will continue to happen every season! I love this new concept PG has done. :)

New? It's straight out of the Fortune Island DLC expansion for FH4.
Quite literally:
They even re-used the same treasure chest asset.

PS: You can use the drone to find it after the circle appears, just like with the barns.

That said, I'm not too surprised. A lot of the DLC features and late-life additions to FH4 felt like they were essentially beta tests by nature. Not for nothing they do feel more complete now, but so far the Event Lab is really where the bulk of the gameplay innovation seems to have gone.
