Is there some sort of new bug? My game will not launch. Just sits on the main menu with A & X buttons regardless.

Edit* Closed the game out, loaded up another game. Jumped back in, and the main menu responded. Weird sequence.

Managed to fix my crashing issues trying launch the game on PC by doing a clean reinstall.

I've got a lot of catching up to do now.

It's a bug. I have to turn off the controller and then turn it back on again. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

As @Stang616 says, the easiest solution is to switch off the controller and then switch it back on again.

What is even more annoying is the voiceover telling you to press A to start.

"I'm pressing it! Over and over again! It doesn't work!" 😂

I'm now in the process of collecting the cars I want, going through all brands, in alphabetical order.

I've arrived at Ferrari. Now the real grind begins...

This may just be a placebo of sorts, but after trying several different cars on the same course and in the same class, I feel that using a heavier, larger car can reduce the difficulty of AI in cross country.

For example, for this week's season championship I used a Mercedes SLK. This car weighs up to 1.8 tons with the AWD upgrade and is probably the heaviest car in this category we can buy at an auto show.
And I won this championship very easily.

Of course, this is just how I feel about it, it doesn't really work and others may feel the same way.
However, since I started trying this method, my win rate for cross country and dirt racing in offline races is 100%.

It may more be that the many of the cars in the SLK's particular class are RWD, which the AI can't cope with as well when off-roading. In that case the acceleration boost they tend to get works against them since RWD cars lose a fair amount of grip when they're not on a paved or dirt road, even if they're set up for off-road use.

Got mine now! 😀

I'm sure any type of Cheat/mods will get you banned.
Wanted to give it a try but i also find it weird that a channel like DF post something like this. They are close with MS and Playground Games, they even visited the office to get a pre look at the game on all system to do analysis. So i find it weird that they would do something ban worthy. He is even showing how to do it and puts a download link to the mod :odd:

Anyone know whats the max distance between checkpoints in the 'create route' maker?

Like I wanna do some checkpoints, but at what distance between them do they become "invalid"?

I'm attempting the 50 Laps of Goliath right now, currently on Lap 9, and I'm using the Class X Sesto Forza Edition. Lap times are averaging just over 9 minutes, and I'm doing this in segments so my arms and fingers don't get tired from all this driving.

EDIT 1: Lap 16 now. My palms really don't like this challenge. My best lap is currently 8:54.xxx. I'm using the big bridge at the south corner of the map as a makeshift pit lane.

Might have to leave the game running overnight while I sleep just to finish this.

I'm certain there is no "invalid" distance between checkpoints. I did one EventLab race on the highway that had, I think, more than 10 km between two checkpoints.

So whose done some online racing? I finally decided to hop into a few, and besides the fact that everyone currently on likes to bash, crash and block you, I'm loving it. Mexico is so much more fun than the UK. I wasnt a huge fan of online racing in FH4, (I enjoyed the PG Games) but I can see myself doing more this time around

The AI is definitely throwing players a difficulty tweak on Cross Country events. It's not impossible to beat, sure, but it's way harder than on tarmac events.
It was like that in FH4. Those races, especially in the Weekly Forzathon, were just ridiculously challenging. I did one of the Street Races, and it was suddenly strange when I noticed it's not in Pre-Dawn or Twilight and precipitation.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Forzathon Daily Challenge “Over the Moon”? The requirement is “Jump a distance of 1500ft in any car”. I’ve done this several times over several Danger Signs, but nothing triggers it. Also, the game has completely quit on me twice today, including just this very minute while I was typing this out and nothing was happening in the game.

seems like the bug isnt related to just one challenge. noticed some championships cannot complete either.

I thought we'd be able to unlock the Festival Playlist rewards without playing online (which is kind of key for me to be able to unlock them, since I can't play online), but I'm at 39 points with 46 needed to unlock the DBS Superleggera with nothing but the six daily challenges to do, and minus the one that requires online play that means I'll only have 44 points at the end of the week.

Am I being dumb or is this another oversight on their part? Seems a bit mean to leave offline players only two points short...

The mod creator is a DF Patreon supporter so maybe they feel they owe him.

It'd seem a bit harsh of PG to ban a purely cosmetic mod which offers no competitive advantage over other players.

Has anyone received any clothing you can buy when inside a Festival Post/Home? I'm avoiding to spend all my earned Wheelspins, with the exception of the mandatory post-race Wheelspins everytime you level up after completing an event.

Also, is it just me or the game is being very kind to me with those forced Wheelspins. Here's all the Wheelspins i've been annotating since November 5.

1) 2011 BMW 1M
2) Clothing: Brown Biker Jacket
3) 40,000 CR
4) 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS
5) 5,000 CR
6) 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454
7) 1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185
8) 200,000 CR
9) 20,000 CR
10) 1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade
11) 2018 Exomotive Exocet Offroad FE
12) 2018 Saleen S1
13) Emote: Shocked
14) 50,000 CR
15) 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon
16) 175,000 CR
17) 1997 Mazda RX-7
18) 25,000 CR

I've only received unbuyable clothing, Silver boots and a cyan denim jacket.

I feel these wheelspins are a lot more generous than in FH4, but it may be just because I'm still in the part of the game where you make 15,000Cr a race, but I've gotten a few 100,000Cr+ wheelspins and free 200,000Cr+ cars (488, 90s 911 GT2)

I know but its via a cheat engine so if MS detects something fishy with your account i think you have a high chance of getting banned, so nothing to do with PG. I really whant to try it out, im a sucker for details like this. And it looks incredible in photomode!

I ran into this same issue yesterday with the retro sports car danger sign challenge. On Xbox Series S, I quit the game then opened the game once again. This seemed to do the trick.

A whole week after it was technically available I've finally starting downloading the game! As you can tell by the speed I'm still having issues, but being able to have any connection at all is an improvement. Roughly 5 hours until I can finally play!

I've tried many different blueprints and somehow most of them seem to bug out.

Could it be if you get too far away from the "racing line/blue line", it doesnt count that checkpoint?
That may have happened like on certain jumps or cliffs.

I find the auction to be a grind but winning the DeLorean for 10k was nice. You just keep bidding on whatevers about to end and hope there wasn't time to be outbid. So many "bid failed" or "Outbid" notices, it's disheartening, then boom you got the car.

I have been crawling through the weekly events (I have done 4 or 5) wondering if I should care too much - if I can buy cars later anyway I should surely focus on the main game and unlocking cars? Obviously the higher point cars like the DBS and season prizes will cost more but is money abundant later, or cars easy to get? I did about 10 hours of FH4 and that's it, so as a relative newbie I wonder how best to use the first week. Thanks in advance!
