Shortly before doing a 5-lap Goliath XP grind with the X5M FE (GT2's Suzuki Escudo pumped on steroids), i received this Barn Find gift.

Forza Horizon 5 Screenshot 2021.11.12 - 17.34.06.52.png

That was the 3rd Barn Find gift i received this week. The other two were Willys Jeeps, which i used to get that sweet XP skill mastery + 2 Super Wheelspins before sending them away as gifts.

Anyway, here's the results of the Goliath race i previously mentioned:

303,441 XP - Total
123,921 XP - 1st Place
30,980 XP - FE Car (BMW X5M FE)
106,688 XP - Perk Bonus
25,462 XP - Skills
16,360 XP - Clean Racing
Lvl 116 -> Lvl 136
Accolade Reward:
Vulcan AMR Pro (2nd Aston Martin earned from Accolades. Vantage GT12 was the first one on 11/11)
Wheelspin Reward: 175,000 CR

At this rate, i might just keep doing these XP grind races until i reach the first Prestige level.

I find the auction to be a grind but winning the DeLorean for 10k was nice. You just keep bidding on whatevers about to end and hope there wasn't time to be outbid. So many "bid failed" or "Outbid" notices, it's disheartening, then boom you got the car.

I have been crawling through the weekly events (I have done 4 or 5) wondering if I should care too much - if I can buy cars later anyway I should surely focus on the main game and unlocking cars? Obviously the higher point cars like the DBS and season prizes will cost more but is money abundant later, or cars easy to get? I did about 10 hours of FH4 and that's it, so as a relative newbie I wonder how best to use the first week. Thanks in advance!
If you see a car in the weekly events that you really want that you aren’t able to buy from the auto show, it’s probably worth taking the time to do the events to get.

You will get tons of cars and money just by playing the game normally though, and if you miss a car you can always get it through the auction house(as long as it isn’t a super rare car that’s hard to get, those can go for a lot of money)

My most valuable WS so far: ☺️

That’s a 16,4 mill credit car on the autoshow, 6th most valuable car in the game (The 250 GTO is a barn find but has the top spot).

Anyway I’m not buying any car from the autoshow unless I really have to for an event or something. I’ll just wait until eventually I will have all cars (or enough money and my voucher saved up to buy everything I’m still missing at once). However there are a handful of cars that are exclusive to the autoshow and won’t appear in wheelspins, accolades or festival playlist. These cars are the following:

2017 Acura NSX
2002 Acura RSX Type S
2001 Acura Integra Type R
1973 Alpine A110 1600S
2019 DeBerti Toyota Tacoma TRD "The Performance Truck"
2018 Honda Civic Type R
2016 Honda Civic Type R
2007 Honda Civic Type-R
2004 Honda Civic Type-R
1997 Honda Civic Type R
1994 Honda Prelude Si
1991 Honda CR-X SiR
1974 Honda Civic RS
2020 McLaren GT
1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Luxe

That info comes from the car collection screen. That’s an interesting list huh? Why so many Honda (& Accura) in there? I first thought maybe Honda almost didn‘t make it into the game and they were confirmed after the “wheelspin pool” was already programmed. But on the other hand the NSX and S2000 models are in the wheelspin pool.

Still very weird. But anyway if there are other people who just sit on their credits and wait to get cars from wheelspins and accolades, you can “safely” buy the cars on the list above. ☺️

I’m starting to get concerned. The game has fully crashed back to the XBox main menu screen three times in the last thirty minutes for me.

That happened to me yesterday night 3 times in 30 minutes as well. Now today I don’t know but it feels like the loading times in between doing races and going back to free roam have increased a bit. I hope they fix these issues soon.

Not only is this the most buggy Forza game of the XBO family of devices I know to date (easily beating FM6!), it’s probably also one of the most buggy games, period. Frame rates and performance are smooth on XSX but damn… PG sure dropped their high level of quality standards a few notches.

Anyway my previous post didn’t age very well, this just came in 🙈😅

That’s nr.4 on the value charts sitting at 18,5 mill CR. 🥳

I’m leaving my XBox unplugged for a while. Hopefully it will clear up by Sunday. I was hoping to spend the day completing the Festival Playlist. Also, I haven’t had a chance to try your skill farming tune yet for obvious game crashing reasons. Hopefully Sunday. Also also, nice California.

Ouch, sorry to hear. It crashes here as well but not in such a way that it became unplayable.

I just had 3 more crashes, it always happens during a player action involving the menus though:
  • once when deleting on of my own shared event lab blueprints
  • once when quitting a race
  • once when changing to another car

Has the tuning/upgrades changed any way from FH4 or is it more or the less the same?
Mostly the same - there are some minor changes like adding a 7, 8, 9, and 10-speed version of the race transmission to go with the 6-speed, some pre-tuned diffs, a fully slick tyre above the semi-slicks with the semi-slicks toned down in grip, snow tyres separate to dirt tyres, offroad race tyres available on most cars, and the standard AWD conversion coming with an adjustable transmission and diff as standard now. The car classes are all slightly higher now too, probably to fit the 1600hp Jesko into S2, so tunes carried over from FH4 can have a bit more power or less weight to fit in the same class.

Morning, everyone. After a moment where I thought the game was going to crash, I'm still progressing through my 50 Laps of Goliath challenge. After a night's rest, I woke up in the middle of lap 25. Now, I'm on lap 31.

I should clarify: I'm not racing against any other people, it's me versus the road.

EDIT: The game crashed on lap 42. I think I'll try it again, but only 5 or 6 laps next time. You know, to make sure I get something out of this.

It's just a stock car sold 132,000 at the autoshow o_O

And that not just one player.

One last thing. Look at that bumper. See the hole? It’s for inserting the starter crank like it’s 1913 and you’re driving a Model T.
You'd better have your "manivelle" with if you look for one of the many 4L that are probably hidden in french barns. This backup starter was common on similar french cars, i think.

Yeah, that's been my experience on the Auction House as well. I was trying to grab an MC12 Corsa for cheap a few nights ago, only to see the same player buy out 3 different auctions. It seems like it's just people either buying out auctions trying to be trolls, or not paying attention and overspending on Autoshow cars.

Also, how exactly do you have that kind of background on the auction house page?

I've been avoiding looking through the accolades lists to make sure I don't get caught up in checklist chasing, so whenever one pops up where the title is this on the nose it always get a laugh out of me.

I'd say the extra tire compounds and gearboxes are pretty significant, the former makes it a lot easier to keep a car within a desired class without having to sacrifice much in the way of handling, and the latter helps greatly in managing cars that have massive amounts of torque, which keeps them from being rendered useless by their own engines. It also makes silly "how did I fit a V12 in that" builds more viable too, which opens up even more possibilities.

I wasn't aware that AWD swapping came with adjustable transmission and diff as well, since the only thing I've swapped is already a full on race car, but that's a logical timesaver to include. Generally when someone AWD swaps a car it's because they intend to min-max it, so they were going to install those parts 99% of the time anyway.

Alright, I have beaten the last of the big events before Goliath and now feel like I'm ready to take it on. I could've done it off the bat, but I'm still doing my own, made-up "normal" difficulty mode where I don't use super wheelspins.

With that said, using the normal wheelspins still kinda gave me some good cars anyway, I was given the Zenvo TSR-S, Ford GT40 Mk.2, and Ferrari 599XX. I also gotten some 100k-250k type of prizes every so often which helped my collection.

Though, once I beat the Goliath race, I think I'll then just let things go and start using the super wheelspins I have saved up. hehe

This Wet Summer's Trial event is not for the faint of heart.

The first 2 races are Cross Country Sprint races that strongly favours high-powered cars with average amounts of grip, so bringing a car that favours grip over power is a no-go, regardless of your skill. Now combine this with the already infamous Unbeatable Drivatars who LOVE long, fast sections of any track, thanks to the amounts of power and grip boost they receive on higher difficulties, which gets worse the higher the perfomance class, and you have all the ingredients for having a bad time.

In summary: drive well, bring a strong and properly tuned car and pray your teammates do the same to beat down those cheating Drivatars.

So having done every race besides the damn Gauntlet which I can't seem to manage no matter how hard I try it says only 73/84..so what am I missing?

The 6x6 G Class and Velociraptor are the easy ones, the normal G Class is the troublemaker.

I got lucky the third time with my Gladiator.

I've missed out on this thing 4 times in the wheel, being 1 prize too early and too late.

Dammit.
Same here sadly. The wheelspin is still a dastardly troll after all of these years.

---
but at some points, it's not. Becuse for some reason, it thought I needed some Ferraris in my life...

Aside from the 2 barn finds (F40C & 250 GTO), the ohter 4 were just plain wheelspins.
Ferraris owned.png

A similar thing happened with Exomotive, I got both variants of the Exocet in wheelspins and got the Charger & Viper SRT ACR the same way.
Dodges and Exomotive.png

Note: I might do a more difficult playthrough later on for fun where I try to beat the game without any wheelspins. Maybe I'll do that when I get a Series X.

After receiving a couple of Willy's Jeep's via Car Gifts, which in fairness has helped with the Super Wheelspin unlocks, my last 2 car gifts have been a Toyota Supra 2.0 GT (or it might have been the MR2 SC as both mine are red) and a Ferrari FXX K.

I've done alright out of Wheelspins/Super Wheelspins as I have won the Sesto Elemento FE, Pagani Huayra BC FE, McLaren F1, Porsche Taycan and Jaguar D Type (which has saved me 22 million!) Among others.

Although I got the Mercedes AMG One with my free car voucher, how do you unlock the AMG One FE, is it a prize during the game itself or just available via wheelspins?
