From the blog article:

To get you started on your winter adventures, we present four reward cars (three new to Horizon) during the four entirely wintry weeks of Horizon Holidays Mix-up, all with four doors and room for a ton of presents.

Have I missed something, which of these can be considered as not new to Horizon?

The article also mentioned initially (don't know if it was changed since) that the CTS-V was perfect for the city with a 2-litre turbocharged engine. I suspect they swapped a car last minute like they did with the Hot Wheels expansion, and not every reference in the article was caught.

As for cars with four doors, a 2.0 turbo, and that have appeared in Horizon previously, maybe the 2013 Focus ST was the one? Who knows.

The Flying Spur that's depicted in the upcoming update looks kind of like the Mulliner model trim. The Speed variant has more aggressive wheels and lacks the hood ornament.

I think that makes sense. Someone must have realized they had a cool Super Saloon update all ready to go and decided the Focus, or whatever they went with before that, would have broken the flow too much, hence they did a Taycan Cross Turbo and went with the CTS-V Wagon so as to make modeling at least a little bit easier.

You might have to remind me, though--did they actually swap a car out of the Hot Wheels expansion? What was it?

The MC20/Pininfarina Battista swap I believe.

It was actually the Italdesign DaVinci that was replaced by the Schuppan 962 for the HW expansion.

While the MC20 was replaced with the Battista in FM during an Italian update of sorts.

For "Midnight Muscle", I hope that we get more focus on 80s-2000s muscle cars, including some returning 360-era cars.

Stuff like the 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R, 1992 Ford Thunderbird SC, 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th Anniversary or maybe even the 2005 Ford Mustang GT would be great picks for the Midnight Muscle theme should it follow a retro muscle car theme.
As for Midnight Muscle. I'm choosing to take this to mean a Modern Muscle update. While we absolutely do have every single Corvette worth mentioning at this point (save for maybe the C4 Grand Sport and the C8 ZR1, the latter of which I don't expect we'll see quite yet), the post-facelift sixth-gen Camaro would fit right in, for example. We could also see the Challenger Hellcat Widebody, with maybe a Venom 1200 or Mustang GTD for good measure---or, hell, even the Mustang Mach-E Rallye as a way of working an off-road EV reward into things, who can say?

Preliminary prediction is as follows, then:
Summer: 2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody (Because this is perfect headline car material. You could honestly play this as a muscle car loud enough to wake the neighbors, which makes it perfect for an extended nighttime update.)
Autumn: 2021 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (The post-facelift sixth-gen Camaro is exactly the sort of New-to-Forza car you'd expect in an update like this, a sidegrade to an existing car already in the Autoshow. For added meme potential this could also be the 2019 Camaro with its apparently ugly front end, but I doubt this would be the case.)
Winter: 2022 Hennessey Venom 1200 (Probably a better fit in Track Toys, but we've absolutely been overdue for this thing ever since Hennessey accidentally leaked it. Yeah it's another Mustang but this one can allegedly push 300 MPH, so who cares, raw top speed memes.)
Spring: 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rallye (Obligatory EV. Maybe not the best thing to complement all these heavy hitters, but there's gotta be something out there to temper expectations.)

2022 Hennessey Venom 1200 (Probably a better fit in Track Toys, but we've absolutely been overdue for this thing ever since Hennessey accidentally leaked it. Yeah it's another Mustang but this one can allegedly push 300 MPH, so who cares, raw top speed memes.)
Afaik Hennessey never stated the Venom 1200 will go 300 mph and it most likely never will, 1200hp is just about enough for most of hypercars to do 250 mph and Mustang will need even more than that to do the same speed. Actually, no production-based car ever managed to hit 300 mph aside from Bugatti Chiron SS 300+ and a heavily modified Ford GT with like 3000hp.

True. It's just, American muscle is a dying breed and you kinda have to dig deep to find relevant modern muscle cars that are in a scannable state at this point. If I weren't holding myself to Modern Muscle I would've had an easier time coming up with stuff.

FH5 was utterly unplayable due to this horrendous bug, obviously.

Performance Level and Car Category for the Holiday Update:

2006 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG: B 698 Retro Saloons. Glad they went this route actually, it's now the newest car in the category and sets the cut-off date for 'Retro' as late as 2006. It also means it gets to take the 'top of the category' crown from the 2003 M5, which it manages with a slightly more powerful engine and better brakes. Should be worthwhile if you're a wagon fan.

1733259636353.png

2024 Nissan Z (RZ34) Nismo: A 765 Modern Sports Cars. In spite of its more powerful engine, the RZ34 Nismo actually has a lower speed stat than the car it's supposed to be the "I'm you but better" to. Most of it went to braking and handling, and possibly a shorter gear ratio--either way, it being FR means it won't hold much of a candle to the 2020 TT. Still, for the low low price of zero Playlist points, it's a great get!

1733259903571.png

2021 Bentley Flying Spur: A 719 Super Saloons. The first Bentley in the category, surprising since the Continental (which this thing is) usually goes into GT Cars. Not a bad get either way, but I do think it's a little disappointing.

1733259975910.png

2022 BMW M5 CS: S1 827 Super Saloons. Headline car deserves headline treatment; by far and away this is the best car in the update. That PHEV assistance is no joke, pretty much obsoletes the 2018 M5 in the Autoshow.

1733260253671.png

2014 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon: A 724 Modern Muscle. Likely a case of grandfathering since the CTS-V is itself a Modern Muscle car. Not really worth going for in comparison to the existing CTS-V in the Autoshow, but it's still a nice novelty.

1733260404271.png

2018 DeBerti C10 Slayer: S1 802 Rods and Customs. The category wasn't unexpected, but the PI is. It's only barely superior to the Econoline restomod from the same manufacturer, despite being in a separate class (and, indeed, in a class essentially of its own, considering its only stock competition is the 2JetZ). I think this is mostly due to its heavier weight (thanks to it being 6x6) and inferior acceleration, but for a drag racer, you'd think it'd at least be only twenty PI points lower than the 2JetZ, if not be a true equal to the Econoline, not, essentially, a car players'll probably never use.

Seems like they fixed the bug where the Backstage shop didn't filter by "not owned" even when you told it to.
Also, what's a "Cinema outit" - some kind of wardrobe malfunction at a movie premiere??

Knowing how particular irarreF are about how their cars are presented in games, it was probably reported by irarreF themselves!
