I also find X/B to shift annoying. I'd rather it be X/A or X/Y. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the demo. Sound is amazing, handling is amazing, the graphics looks awesome, and the soundtrack is pretty sweet too.

I completely agree. I'd like the shifting to replicate TDU's shifting, aka. Y/B, because it's easy to memorize.

Everything about the demo is great except to things....

I wish it had the option to change or edit the controls because the shift buttons are annoying and I wish you could make the damage not just cosmetic...

I love how the demo plays, it plays far better then Forza Motorsport 1. Anyway here is my latest time in the R2 class:

Hate to start a fanboy war..but I will I think the Forza demo was better than the GT one. Not as pretty but the feel and sound just give a more enjoyable gaming experience. Plus the fact that there was more then one car to play against adds to it too..now lets get the rivalry going again

Ok, after playing the demo more.... I've decided that this is actually a really good demo... I love driving the SRT 4, the M3, and the 350Z.

At the end of the day, the driving aspect is improved over Forza 1, we all know that the customisation and paint options are improved, and I enjoyed Forza 1. Make your own conclusion.

I downloaded the demo in about 19 minutes, so you should have it downloaded in about 15 minutes or 20 minutes.

Remember it depends on the time of the day, and your ISP, but mainly how big the pipe they are using for the demo, and how many people are downloading it.

But if you think that is bad, someone on another forum said they got to 1% in just 8 minutes or 17 minutes.

Ya it's done dloading, took a little under 20 minutes, but the batteries on my controller died and since I'm lazy I called my mom and I'm just going to have her bring me some when she gets back from the store in about 20 minutes. I can wait a little while longer.

You really need to buy one of those rechargeable cable packs, which includes of those rechargeable batteries as well, for your wireless joypads. Anyway I try and beat my R2 time at the weekend.

I don't like the R2 cars at all... They are way too fast and powerful for me. I actually have the most fun driving D class. Its really true. Less hp = More fun! 💡

What's the best way to start, when driving R2 cars. To avoid all the wheelspin and spinning, I start too cautiously and slowly, then I get sandwiched in the midfield of AI R2 cars, who are BTW not at all gentlemen like. Then by the time I can get to the front of the field, it's the last lap and I've wasted a lot of time off the track (penalty), just to avoid accident, while overtaking the AI cars.. If only I can get a good start (which I did a few times, but I think it was fluke and luck both together).

In Stock cars, C and A class I keep up till 4,500 to 5000 RPM and the moment I see the Green light, I push the throttle in. That helps me get a good clean wheelspin free, FAST start.. But that doesnt work atall with R2 cars..

I think he simply meant that it wasnt necessary to challenge a time and try to et the fastest time, but instead to just have fun driving. Not that he is the best.

Speaking of sound, I think the Gallardo and 350Z sound the most realistic. What's really cool, is if you turn around at the start and drive allll the way to the barrier and sit there, you can hear the cars over the entire track. It's really cool to hear the Gallardo revving in the far distance and then coming near and then going back into the distance. Very realistic. 👍

well it looks like Turn10s going to have a hard time with this demo, fans (from other forums) were quite disappointed with this release. ya know, those graphics whores. But it still looks impressive IMO, car handling is decent, awesome sounds, great car selection, etc. The full version has more to offer, and Im looking forward to that.

I dunno, seemed to me many of our fans actually loved the demo.

Anyway, I had my reservations about the demo before we released it because it doesn't really show off the biggest strengths of Forza 2 aside from 60fps and amazing physics.

The full game has all the online/customization/community features that makes the game truly next-gen.

hey che, thanks for the great job on the demo(can't see why everyone is complaining about 'jaggies'), love all the car's and the sound is just... AMAZING.

this demo has more then sealed the deal for me(would've bought it anyway mind you) but it has already got 2 of my mates buying 360's specificly for it!!!

The steering wheel makes it a lot more enjoyable especially with aids off. (well maybe abs on)
