It didn't even have a livery. Just metallic red paint...And no meaningful description in case there was anything special (i.e. suspension tune) about it.

It's nice that they're doing some plumbing work this close to the holidays, but... for the love of all things Holy, they should have done this back in the DEVELOPMENT STAGE. I'm so tired of being Micro$ofts unpaid beta tester.

For the record, Sony games do the same thing. Everyone uses the internet as their bandaid/beta testing. I don't like being an unpaid beta tester for Sony or MS, but it seems we have no choice.

Edit: Shift animations are there! It paddles shifts when you have paddles, and reaches down to the shift when you have a normal manual. Nice.

Yup it seems like the gaming industry in general is like that now that they have the option to "repatch" later. The PC gaming scene is the worse though, probably because they are used to it.

For the record, I've barely seen anything in PS3 games, and I have more than a dozen of them. Now, other developers do seem to have small issues here and there - and I only have two shooters on PS3, but nothing like we get from Microsoft themselves. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, like we get in Forza. Every Forza.

The patch hasn't fixed this problem for photos sadly.
Well... then the capture card is getting ordered ASAP. This is ridiculous.

A video of SHIFT and FM3 at RA from Autosimsport's Bob Simmerman. This was done prior to the recent patch to the PS3 version of SHIFT. The MS 360 wheel was used for FM3 and Logitech DFGT for PS3 version of SHIFT.

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble receiving credits from the store front? Every time I go to start playing I get a message saying that there are credits to collect. I go to the SF and try to receive them and the window comes up saying something like "calculating credits" but then I don't get any.

I don't think I've lost them because it keeps going up each time I start up. Anyone?

Usually you have to "receive credits" twice or more. So next time repeat time after time 'till you get the message for received credits.

Then you must not have InFamous, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM 3 or Resistance 1 and 2. That, or you haven't experienced them like most of us. HORRIBLE glitches, and bugs.

And don't even get me started on SOCOM 3. We are getting our 6th patch soon. GRRR..

Sony 1st party as well as 2nd/3rd party titles have been buggy messes. Thankfully, KZ2 has been more playable since patches 1.21, 1.24 and 1.27 have been released. Now, if they can just add a party system for friends. :indiff: I hear that might be in patch 1.32.

You have to wait for all of the Turn 10 picks to load before attempting to collect your credits. 👍

I bought a Lexus ISF and was wondering if it is suppose to have gear stick shifting animations?, I thought it was a paddle shift car.

It can be either or actually. There's a "manual" mode for sequential shifting.

Most cars with paddles you can also push forward and back on the stick to change gears, though it is rare anyone does that (Australian Stig did/does it).

Well... I got the update, and it hasn't fixed either one for me. Now I am saaaaad. I really do want to play my PS3 games I haven't finished yet anyway, and I want to re-experience the entire Ratchet & Clank Future series with the new game. If I can get some pics ready in an hour or two, I will. If not... whenever. :P

Is there a way to view the full comments that people put on their items in the Storefront? I see a lot of stuff up there that says things like "Here's this car, and I put all of the..." and there doesn't seem to be a way to actually read the full comment.

It's somewhat aggravating to have a game with all these different options like that, especially things like the livery editor, and the manual doesn't even mention it. I've had a few games lately with what can really be described as piss-poor manuals.. three pages of how to boot the game up, one page on the HUD, and then five pages of credits, but doesn't actually explain how to do any of the things the game can do.

Yeah the manual seriously blows. To see the rest of their comment you have to click on the vinyl or design. When the screen changes their comment will be in the bottom lefthand corner.

Okay, stupid question time... I've searched around here for a bit and couldn't find anything.

What's the deal with the Subaru S204 and Mazda RX7 Bathurst R? Why can you race against them, but somehow they're not even in the dealerships? I know the Collector Edition cars are there, even though they're locked... but those two puzzle me?

Or is it like in FM2 and they're only available once a month through the auction house like the Evo 6 Tommi Makinen was?

To read the full description I've found that you have to click the design and then when it loads up fully, click 'View Storefront' and then it will appear in the bottom left corner.

I have no idea why they designed it to be like this when there's a huge blank section in the bottom left corner when viewing the design itself that could be used for it but there we are.

Just one of many oversights that keep seeming to crop up I suppose. It always astounds me that things so obvious aren't addressed at the troubleshooting/bug-fixing/product-testing stage. It's like a Nokia E71 phone I had, within 5 days I had a list of about 7 major annoyances that could have been remedied so easily in the testing phase. In the end I got rid of it and now tell everyone I know how crap it was. It just plain annoys the hell out of me.

PS Does anybody know what the new update fixed?

I have to say that I dropped Forza 3 like a leperous potato, because the file clogging problem has become unendurable. I ran two races to snap some livery picks, thinking it wouldn't be too horrible bad, and it took... FIVE freaking hours. Seriously. And I still hadn't gone through the ridiculous ordeal of deleting some pics to make room for uploading to the storefront, so the FM website could compress them and suck some of the color out, so I could then download them and try to pump some color back in with Windoze. Good grief... I'd need two lives to spend on this nonsense, so I went back to Ratchet & Clank Future, and my other games, and writing, and music composing, and... wow, life again. This is the first Forza I quit in the middle of, and not even the middle, like 26%.

It's such a shame, because other than this stupid crap, it is a really nice game.

I have still yet to experience this problem you refer to. Everything has run smoothly, from the menus, to the Storefront, to uploading. I'm baffled as to what you're on about, to be honest. Care to elaborate, so I know what I may be in for at some point?

Once you have a certain amount of photos or downloaded liveries/designs (I've yet to experience the former) the game can't access the stored cache so it has to buffer as if they're raw files for you to get to them. I've noticed with the designs that consecutive vinyls with one hundred+ layers back to back is what causes the buffer issue. I've deleted some I don't need and/or want and the difference is significant, it'll buffer on occasion but only on occasion. As for the photos, that I don't understand...it could have a great deal to do with the resolution used; although the photos are uploaded to FM.net in 720p anyway, they still have to converted from and to (considering your resolution isn't set at 720p to begin with).

My storefront and my profile are crammed full of stuff and run perfectly smoothly!

I still haven't had the slow down either on my end, and I have continued to pack it up with more and more stuff. I am not saying it doesn't exist (obviously it does), but I am just glad it doesn't happen on my end either.

Hmmm... I have a huge number of liveries/designs. Sounds like good advice anyway. We'll see how things progress on my end.

5 hours of waiting is crazy I don't have many vinyls or designs yet hope it can get fixed soon before I do have lots. What kind of number of vinyls/designs/pictures are talking about Tenacious?
