I think this game has the worst code ever for finding online games. There are currently 175 people racing in A class Circuit hopper (which is downright sad, go on Call of Duty MW2 and you'll see about 20k people in each hopper on a slow day). It won't put me with any of them.

The GTR is slightly tuned (I think) and has a neat paintjob but that's all. The Porsche for VIP members is worth 1.2 million credits though!

So, I got into one A class race. Then everyone left after that. Then I raced the one remaining person, who left after he crashed. So two and a half laps at Catalunya by myself. Then I go to find another room just to have the game crash for the second time in the last half hour. Time for Call of Duty.

How does 9PM EST work for ya? This game is a lot better if you're playing in private room with friends, I've been trying to do that instead of hoppers, but sometimes there just aren't other people online.

online racing should be done in clubs and leagues it´s the only proper way to do it I am afraid. I am not saying that all console racers are wreckers but public servers you get people that hasn´t practised for a dime and can be totally anonymous as well. They don´t put their name at stake while racing like you do if you know the ones you race against.

If you are going to run public you better run flatout or something where it´s okay to crash eachother lol

btw I finally got Forza 3 but to my surprise I got to versions? It looks like I also got an australian version with aussie V8 sticker on the forza 3 front? Now it´s pal as well so it should work just as well as the european version? Or is content region locked or something? Is there anything that won´t work?

also Aussie V8 is not exclusive for the australian version right?

No the Aussie V8 cars are in all versions of Forza 3. When you say you got two versions of the game, you don't mean you got two disks do you? Because the game comes with 2 disks.

I just checked and yes there are now S, A & B class hoppers in the Road Racing game type. FYI currently there are only 54 players Road Racing online; 10 in any class, 16 in S, 19 in A and 9 in B.

Got me. According to VGChartz this game has sold upwards of 1.2 million copies WW. How less than 0.1% of those owners end up online I can't explain. Maybe there are many dedicated regional servers, so the only thing you or I see are the number of players on the specific server we've been connected to, but that is just a guess. Regardless I'm with you, something doesn't make sense.

When T10 said in december that they'd sold 1 million worldwide Vgchartz were showing 1.8 million so I don't know how accurate that is.

It could be bundle data as many 360's sold here come with Forza 3.

Still with 1.2 million actual copies sold you'd think there'd be more online.

I tried my aussie Forza 3 copy. It should still work even if I installed Forza 3 on another copy???

Anyway it just say dvd no forza 3 image or anything so it looks like it´s region locked!

Otherwise no Forza 3 during the weekend. Coming back to it, it was still a walk in the park at medium settle for 3rd or 4th place on hard. Maple Valley just as easy as in Forza 2 though there you go on hard. However I got into a third season and they jumped straight from Class C to class A for the championship? Is it due to me winning to much?

Used to already owning über cars but not that über I can run at hard but made medium settings silly now I had to buy upgrades for my lexus in this case

I just stripped it max to be able to compete and I got the first real stellar race in this game yet. Light car mean I accelerated fast and surely got the speed but I did struggle during braking with no race tires or brakes. Car was incredibly fun to drive due to how smooth you needed to be to keep the traction on those crap stock tires. Cornering I was vulnerable as well as a result so leap frogged with 3 other cars. Any edge I got overall got lost as my spoilers and such started to wear off on the later laps.

Anyway I really hope it´s going to be more like this if they are continue to reward you with cars for every third race or so!. Feels really pointless upgrading or spending money on cars when you get a new toy to play for free anyway.

It's due to the way they're unlocked, I think. You can use the Event List to race the B class one if you really want to. 👍

I just had my first race with AI set on Hard, and I was winning by quite a bit until I binned it near the end. I was overtaken but managed to make a lunge right at the death, and crossed the line thinking I had lost. To my utter amazement, I was awarded 1st place, and so checked out the lap times... mine was exactly the same as the other car! Bizarre finish for my first "Hard" race

After a little bit of tuning, broke the SV down from 9.7 to 9.488 in the 1/4th. Now trying to clear the mile in under 23 seconds.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but take a look at the Dodge Stock Car and tell me it doesn't look lop-sided, as if it's always making a right turn.

Add to that when viewing it from the front it isn't proportional to...anything. It looks like a 🤬 up design.

All of them are like that iirc, that's how Nascar's are setup so they turn left better.

Really? That's just strange. Because (from the front view) one side is bulbous and the other is flat, and the hood doesn't line in with either side.

I haven't paid that much attention to them, but yes they do lean left. I'm not sure how that affects them to tune for road courses.
