Best I managed on the Auction House was to buy the cheap first gen Golf, make a basic two colour design and sell it for 32000 ish credits. Not a bad profit.

How come so many people say damage doesn't affect laptimes in Forza ?
I was in an online race yesterday and got hit really bad right after the start, my Gallardo got immediately stuck in 1st gear, wouldn't turn properly anymore and topped out at 96km/h... so sure didn't have effect on my laptimes...?
Of course, the guy who hit me left soon after, probably just to post on the internet how damage in Forza has little to no effect.

Unfortunately the only races with damage I found online yet are restricted to A class cars, very bad decision from T10 IMO, but better than nothing, I guess.

Hell I can't even get into a lobby most of the time when I try for A class Circuit racing. It'll look for a lobby for minutes despite there being a whopping 200 people playing (again, why is this number so low???), then put me by myself. Or possibly a lobby with one person.

This analysis is well done and points to some serious flaws in the basically great game.

I'd blame the missing public lobbies.

LOL

I wonder who actually wrote that, and if anyone actually fell for it.

EDIT: If anyone is on that page, refresh it and scroll to the bottom. I guarantee you Yamauchi had something to say about that.

Some things are really so annoying with this game...
a) why do I get thrown into rooms where the race is running 1/5 laps? I want race, not wait. :yuck:
b)the races in the public rooms get repeated all the time on the same 5 or 6 tracks... I thought there're 'hundreds' of different tracks? :dunce:
c) this is really serious and I would be very grateful if someone could explain the system...
IMO the ranking system is totally crap, for example I was just having a really great race where I got 2nd place with like 3 seconds behind a veteran(30) and 3rd place behind me was a beginner(12)... I got pushed down from level amateur(18) to (17) after that race... but I don't get why, how does that make sense, I was driving really good, got a podium finish and get punished??

If I could turn that ranking system off I would do it, but it's there so it keeps annoying me... XP is meant for experience... they should really fix it or call it different.

I just wanted to give my view of Forza 3 after playing for a few hours. I am a Gran Turismo lover and have played, completed and free raced a lot in GT2,3,4 and other smaller GT games. I have always looked down on Forza and never really bothered to try it since i didn't have an xbox.

It actually starts off quiet boring. I do a few races, level up and get a car. So I buy this really old Nissan and looks at the upgrade options. I got kinda surprised when I a few minutes later come screaming past expensive sports cars in an old Nissan. But with that joy comes something else. I felt like this is not a Nissan anymore... This is a "kekke2000". I did some more tuning to a Chevy Aveo and the same thing there. I wasn't driving a Chevy anymore. In Gran Turismo if I tuned a car to the max and all, I was still driving that same car, but faster and better.

That is the difference between Forza and Gran Turismo, it is so obvious now, all the trailers and interviews finally makes sense. If you have passion for existing cars with the right feeling, go Gran Turismo. If you want to create your dream car, go Forza. Now when I think of it... doesn't a banner at the New York track in Forza say something like that?

Buddy Club P1 Racing QF, Dymag 9 Spoke, Hole Shot Hole Star, Hole Shot Solid, Konig After Burner, RS Watanabe Cyclone, TSW Trackstar 4, Volk Racing RE30

I think the RE30 has actually been the lightest of them all when I was looking at this.

No, Buddy Club or whatever they called. :)

Funny tho, I noticed most of the better tunings have really heavy wheels equipped, because of stupid PI system.

Edit: LOL now I started to use heavy tires, too as it's often the only reasonable way to stay in PI class... only problem I hate those chrome tires :/ tires should be black or gun gray metallic, everything else is blasphemy! :ill:

I've been playing this since day one and I havent really scratched the surface to what I want to achieve with this game (liveries, project cars etc).

What's your current driver level?

50! :) Although I haven't been playing it as much as over the last month or so due to uni.

Is it just me or does anyone else start a project car, then get halfway through and then start something else? I've got about ten of those sitting in my garage at the moment.
