I understand that. I mean the XID interface is implemented in software on the XBox, so they could do a HID interface as well. Sure they want you to beleive they can't...

Sure MS could do it when designing the console but so far no one else, after all this time no one has yet been able to make HID wheels work on the Xbox 360.

As for developer, maybe I don't know and if they could they would get in deeeeep hot water with MS if they did no doubt. but if it only came down to a driver, there are a lot of very smart programmers out there that I am sure would have produced one by now if it is possible.

Wow, those ferrari images look sweet:tup:. Were they enhanced? The ones on the Forza site looks less impressive.

One sore point i'm not looking forward to in Forza 3 is the climbing of levels to unlock cars:grumpy:

As mentioned it´s impossible logitech need to get a license to do a g29 for the 360 or such since it´s different interfaces. MS may have done this deliberately to get more control over hardware peripherals for their console of course but that is another matter.

It´s just a waste of time to ask for G25 support. It IS impossible weither you believe it or not :)

You dont have to, T10 ditched the levels & unlocks, all cars are unlocked from the start, but now they have real world prices, so dont expect to jump straight into a Veyron on career mode in the first day.

Real world prices should make things quite interesting, last time around supercars were just too cheap as they were capped at 250.000cr, makeing them too accessable once you reached lvl 50, rare cars like the shelby daytona, revention, ferrari 250 GTO should now hopefully be a major investment, so you wont be seeing every noob thrashing one about online.

question is just how generous are T10 going to be with the prize credits this time around, i hope they dont just shell out loads of credits for minimal effort, i want to feel like it take alot of time and investment to get those super rare collectors cars, when i go online with my shelby daytona i dont want to see amatures/beginners with one.

Some things should be there to reward us hardcore gamers that put in the effort.

I'm actually hoping there is a glitch I can exploit to get a ton of money to get cars. Or at least a cheat code or something. It's annoying grinding to get the cars you want to drive.

Like the "buy-sell" glitch in Forza 2, perhaps. 💡

Ya something like that, I just want to buy, race, and customise cars. I could careless about going online with them and doing whatever. Plus I'm not that awesome anyways so I'd never be near the top of the leader boards.

For me thats takes something away from the expirience, i understand that grinding for credits can seem like a chore, but look at it this way....

The type of cars people drive should tell you something about the driver, are they a hardcore enthusiast or just a casual gamer, do they have a passion JDM, exotics, muscle, classic, Euro, American, cars.....If every noob is racing around in super rare high end cars, they become meaningless in value.

Its that feeling that I have earned this car, it took time and effort but it was worth it because i have a passion for those type of cars, that has to be reflected in the game someway.

I dont just want to convey my car passion over to people, I want to be able to see other peoples car passion.

My all time favorite car in my FM2 garage is my MC12, that was my goal post when i started out in career mode, i had to really work/drive my ass off to earn that car, once i had it i really felt there was some value to that car because i had put in the effort, when i drove it i felt that sence of achievement and pride in ownership.

After i had the MC12 things just became way too easy, credits flowed in and buying cars became as easy as shelling pea's, they essentially lost all value <<< and thats the key word here VALUE.

You guys do realize that this demo is out...NEXT WEEK already? I keep forgetting, then I keep remembering! I would be curious to see if they will ever announce the actual build of the demo.

That would make me hate the game and not want to play it, having a ton of credits, getting the cars I want and making them look how I want is going to give the game a ton of value...although having an R56 Cooper is going to make the game worth it flat out for me.

I don't care about the "rewarded" feeling or whatever, I just want to have fun and be entertained.

I used to feel similar to you, but as I've gotten more and more busy and play games less and less, I like being able to just jump in any car and go, especially for multiplayer. I'll always tend to drive cars that I like even if they aren't the "best", but I dont want to have to jump through hoops to get the cars I'm "passionate" about.

When it comes to single player, I like the slow building career to unlock cars, that's what keeps me interested. Multiplayer, I like to jump in and race in my favourite car straight away, its the competition that keeps me interested.

Asshat! I managed to forget about it and now you reminded me ;)

As for grinding or not it depends if you treat it as a simulation or want to simulate a career. If you are just for the simulation it´s just annoying with locked cars and tracks.

I don´t know where I will land on Forza 3. I enjoyed the career in Forza 2 but then don´t know how fun is it to do all that again will see I suppose :)
I hope you can test drive cars though before you purchase. It was possible in Forza 2 if I am not misstaken?

I don't know how excited I am about Forza 3.

I mean, overall, it looks really good. It has lots of gameplay options. I has an insane amount of customisation options/tools. It has a great selection of cars. It has a great selection of tracks.

On the other hand I don't like the look of the cockpit view...the point-of-view is fine, it's more to do with steering that looks too direct on-screen, if you know what I mean. They also have rollover...which looks awful and doesn't, at all, react realistically. Rewind feature! A.I. in videos seen so far is so so. I also get the feeling it's not going to be as good as Race Pro.

Demo next week though...all shall be revealed.

I'm thrilled to hear this:tup:

There are many pros and cons in Forza 2 and GT4/5P. One great positive about Forza is the relationship built with their 'community' through community managers etc - it allows them to iron out the 'cons'( like the unlock feature and arcadey menu's)

PS. I just got the le mans Bentley in FM2 - impressive experience - probably better(in my opinion)than GT4, physics and all. Where it fails abit is the over-emphasized tyre physics on road cars - hope it's delt with in FM3.

Part 2 of the Ferrari revela is online and it looks like they're posting a new pic of Amalfi with each Ferrari reveal.

The one thig I hope is that each of the stages has a level of identity of it's own. Actaully the other thing I hope is that there's an option to race the entire track in one go. I doubt we can but it will be amazing if it's there.

Amalfi Coast: Rally di Positano is a full circuit as well as many P2P stages.

Also, the Enzo was parked there so I could take a photo.

Don't worry.

Dear god, that track looks amazing, that track there is hours of my life thrashing it in various cars. Cheers T10..:D

You can see the tire deformation in action in this video. It's funny how the dev game builds on developer consoles allow them to toy around with flipping the car around at their will, lol.

He mentions they are not in full sim damage mode, which I don't understand why they never show it in that mode.

Bogie, thanks a billion, that's put a smile on my face. I can't wait to race the full track.

It was from this video:

Also you can take the 370Z and upgrade it to R3 class via the quick upgrade option:

I really really hope this doesn't happen. The glitch in Forza 2 completely destroyed the economy until it was fixed. Even afterwards it had lingering effects. Unfortunately Forza is not a single player only experience, and I love the way I can race against the AI to buy cars, either from the car yard or from other players.

I'm leaning the opposite way to you... I hope the game doesn't gift out Veyrons and Shelby Daytonas and Ferrari 250s. I want those cars to be a rare sight online, a symbol of a true fan, who loved the car and was willing to save for it.

To each their own, but you can usually race all the cars in their stock form in arcade and multiplayer. It's only if you want to personalise it that you have to buy it.

Rewind is a welcome feature for those of us with busy jobs and lives. Don't like it? Don't use it. AI in Forza has always been a highlight for me. They give you room during maneouvres, adapt to your driving style, provide a good challenge and make mistakes, just like real players. I honestly don't know many people that would rate the AI in forza as below par.

Edit: BMW M1! Hallelujah! Loving the bigger selection of BMWs. Forza 2 originally started with very few of them, good to see more representation.
