I placed my pre-order on the 29th June so I'd hope that's early enough not to encounter any problems.

Still, the email they sent smacks of incompetence. Surely these companies know how many copies of the LCE they will have and only accept as many pre-orders?

Basically the email is saying we might not fulfil your order but don't worry.

We will let you know so you can order again from us and we will let you know by. Message saying delivered.

However the delivered message doesn't really mean we've sent it.

Tracking will be activated on the eve of release.

On a lighter note. Rooneys been sent off.

I know, talk about not giving any time to find an alternative route for the LCE. Sounds like they did that on purpose if they couldn't even fulfill Jump_Ace's pre-order from way back in late July. I find it hard to believe that they have been sold out all this time and kept taking pre-orders and didn't know about it and better yet didn't even bother to let anyone know until now.
 
This is interesting. Usually here in San Antonio, Texas getting a game without pre-ordering is never an issue. Even with the Limited Edition ones.

In fact, when F1 2011 came out (same day as GoW3), I went to Best Buy, around 7pm, and couldnt find it anywhere. I asked one of the guys, and he said "Oh yeah, they are in the back. We have not opened the box yet." So it goes to prove racing games, at least where I live, are not top on the list.

I am betting come Tuesday I can go to BB here and pick up a LCE copy, even though I pre-ordered a regualr one.

A bit on the later side but I think GS had one of the bigger quantities of LCE copies so you should be good. Just make sure you get to the store early to pick it up because I have heard of people getting to the store and they have none left. I will be at the door before its unlocked for customers. I was even thinking about going the night before and seeing if I can bribe someone at the counter to give it to me early. (maybe tell him here's $10 just don't process my pre-order receipt until the morning since it's all ready paid for in full) :sly:

Well, this is interesting. I had an email waiting for me from Best Buy, but it was to update my information. Keep forgetting my credit card has a) my middle initial, and b) my home number.

They didn't say anything about supplies for the LCE being low, but judging by how little GT5 pre-orders there were in this area, I don't think racing games are that big here. Hopefully Canada has their own supplies!

Certainly isn't ideal but GS should honor your pre-order although I have heard of people in the past saying that sometimes they sell to non pre-order customers (like someone they know for instance) and when you try to pick it up later in the day they are none left. Not saying there is a good chance of that happening at your store or any chance at all for that matter but it has happened before. Hopefully that won't happen to you though.
 
I had the email from Game waiting for me. On tenterhooks now. If I'm shafted having pre-ordered early July, I'll be livid. This could affect the ship bonus, the VIP, everything.

July 2nd. I saved the confirmation email, but when I tried to log into order tracking, they now claim no records for my email address. Bad feelings about this whole thing now. I will be complaining to Watchdog if early pre-orders miss out, especially with LCE being limited to Game only and they can't even get it right.
 
Anne Robinson still with watchdog?

I've never ordered from GAME before and now I'm realising why. First website problems, now this. As I said earlier, I pre-ordered end of June so I don't forsee a problem, but you start losing trust in them.

I'm a ShopTo man normally. They never let me down. No LCE though.

Hell, he can spew em out his mouth or his arse. We need them discs.
 
Regards Game online pre orders of LCE.
The email I got clearly notifies me of their intention to take payment early due to the amount of orders for this.

Far from being amateurs they clearly seem to be processing orders early and have boxed ready for the shipment date. Orders that do not process via funds etc then it seems the order will be cancelled and the stock of those allocated to a different order for processing.

I've had good deliveries with GAME in the past usually getting the game a day early.
 
Well, it's new to me. I've pre-ordered with various companies and never been told that I may have my order cancelled and I'll have to replace it.
 
I ordered with amazon,I haven't had any email yet, but I remember waiting for GT5, I got loads of emails, saying its canceled you have to reorder etc. Usually get stuff the day they come out from amazon.

Not saying you could sell if for $400 but you could most likely make some sort of profit if you get it and sell it on eBay right away since it's sold out.
 
For those screwed over by Best Buy, you can still order the LCE from Dell or Kmart online. You'll have to pay extra for shipping to get it by Thursday or Friday of next week though.
 
Are the LCE dlc cars really that mind blowing? I just pre ordered the standard FM4 from newegg for $45 instead of going for the LCE.

It seemed, and I could be wrong, that some of the LCE cars were still available in the vanilla anyways. For example, a BMW M1 is listed for the LCE, but (again, correct me if I'm mistaken) there was still a slightly different model M1 listed for the regular version.

I guess I'll check Gamestop as early as possible on Tuesday. Maybe they'll have an extra copy of the LCE. I know they had a few canceled pre-ordered LCEs for GT5 that I ended up buying one of.
 
Hopefully, due to the recent retailers running into issues canceling LCE pre-orders from folks, maybe T10 will release the Pre-Order cars on the Marketplace soon after for free/ a small fee?

I know it's a long shot (as you could still technically pre-order a standard copy & get the car), but it would be something for those who really want the LCE.

You can decide for yourself. For me the answer is yes but for someone else they may not be.
