And you couldn't photograph it in real world locations, but you could watch videos of it whilst you were idle.

Man, I'm surprised at everyone's knowledge of these jackets! It was very secretive in development too, almost like they were hiding something...

No triple support sadly. My source is the source.

I don't know why you keep insisting this is the case. Nothing has been released at all concerning triple monitor support or lack there of. With no information it would be make more reason to assume it is supported rather than not since it has been in a couple of versions of Forza already.

It also make complete sense that Turn 10 has not addressed this yet as;

a) the number of people using triple screens is pretty low.

b) with it being a console launch title it make no sense to waste marketing time and effort speaking to the very few who will go out and buy three consoles and games at launch.

It makes perfect sense to talk about it since its the most awesome feature of the Forza series. No triples, no purchase.
Also, don't get so serious gentlemen, its just a rumor I heard from a friend who work at Microsoft. If you must know I worked for Microsoft from 2003 to 2006. Supposedly triples has been scrapped because the kinect head tracking is much better now. Which IMO is a poor replacement for the immersion offered by the triple screens. If you want to see my Forza 4 triple screen setup here is my youtube video. Compared to single screen there is no contest, the immersion is simply orders of magnitude better.

I also have a thread here on GTP with many pics of the panoramic and realistic view from inside the "cockpit" vs a single screen. Just check my thread history.

That's a great setup for sure. I still want to hear something official. I'm for one pumped about the new head tracking as it supposed to be much improved. I'm using a 135" 1080P screen so it should be pretty awesome. With good head tracking.

Are you using 3 projectors? Notice you have no bezel on the monitors. Great setup!

Yes three pocket projectors, three 46" panels. No bezels and the seam between screens has been blended with projection material.

This setup is used for PS3 triple screen GT5, as well as all PC racing games.

I also have a 4 actuator Dbox on this rig for PC Sims.

The large wraparound screen just destroys a single screen, I can't go back. Feel like your really in the car. Will be saddened if it's not in Forza 5. If not I'm done with Forza.

Nice what model projectors are you using? I may eventually go to some type of three screen rig but I would likely be a curved 3 projector unit. Of course the screen I'm using now is 7ft tall and 10ft wide so it takes up my entire view pretty well. I'm hoping with the new improved advanced headtracking that's supposed to be perfected in Forza 5 that it makes for a great experience.

Qumi Q2 projectors

Bigger isn't better to me, the three screens provides a close representation of a 1 to 1 scale with a real cars front cabin, any larger and the dimensions are all wacked out. You can see in my videos that the virtual arms and wheel are pretty much identical to my own arms, keeping that scale is important for immersion. If I were to go larger, it would be for my next rig iteration which will utilize a screen system like the TAG system, where I'll be using a real car cockpit, including both doors, roof, dashboard and working instrumemts. In this type of implementation the rendering of internal cockpits is not necessary since you'll already be in a real cockpit.

I've used track ir on PC for years, and much prefer the panoramic view of the ultra wide form factor. But for single screen users, it is an ideal way around the lack of peripheral coverage.

@Mayaman

Liked your setup with the three screens. Am wanting to do something like this down the track but its not a biggi for me..Im just as happy playing on one screen.

...I wasn't prepared mentally for that. The pre-race with the people walking around looked real. Not just realistic, but actually real. That's incredible. I need to start taking small jobs from people as much as possible so I can get it ASAP.

T10 are pretty good at rehashing info before a release..

Did anyone else notice the camera in the indy car doesnt look entirely static. Looks like a violent ride...
But that isn't an article posted by t10. It's a site rehashing old info in order to get hits.

Oh well just thought id share it anyway... Some info is better than none. Take it or leave it... Didnt want to upset anyone....

Here's the latest Week in Review.

The best part is this:
This week, a crack team of Turn 10 folks (including our own Mechberg) spent three days in San Francisco as part of an Xbox One preview event designed to show off the Xbox One to international press. Naturally, one of the highlights of the event was Forza Motorsport 5, and it was great for the team to be able to show off the game to the press and give them a taste of what to expect.

While we’d love to be able to tell you more about the experience, all of the information from the event is under wraps until next week – November 6, to be exact. Rest assured, however that there will be a deluge of Forza Motorsport 5 information coming to you from sources all around the Internet beginning next Wednesday, so be on the lookout!

It sounds like come Wednesday, the flood gates will be wide open!

Also, clues for the next reveals:
  • 2JZGTE
  • Group B RWD
  • Built for Bathurst

From EVO Magazine (Charles Darwin's monthly journal of scientific opinion), page 76:

"Forza 5 also sees the debut of open-wheel racing cars for the first time in the series' history. They'll include current and historic Grand Prix cars, and race cars from the IndyCar series, too. A special mention here for the McLaren M23 and the Ferrari 312-2 driven by Nikki Lauda and James Hunt, respectively, during the 1976 Formula 1 Season. Now immortalised on screen in the movie Rush, they will be available as a free download to all Forza 5 players at launch"

Neat news assuming the writer has her or his facts straight.

This is ridiculously huge if true!

Edit: article also apparently claims that the ring won't be available until January :(
