IIRC, the Launch Bonus pack for FH2 was shown before release. And, tying into the Focus RS, the Focus ST was seen in a menu image in FM4, but didn't come to the game until the second car pack.

Yes, but that pack was free. Was the ST image in game or a real photo?

@Nielsen the same style of picture was posted and updated with newly announced cars every week during the build up to fh2, so that picture not being complete is a possibility.

Same. I loved seeing the first actual pic at night showing the section that changes colors. It looked really good in the F1 games, I imagine it will look even better in F6. That Yas Marina pic at nght truly made my day.

Whilst I agree the lack of Rufs would be a little disappointing, it certainly isnt enough to ruin the game for me.

As happy as I am with the car list there are still 100's of others I would like to see.

But I guess you can't have it all

Because RUF was already done and ready in FM5, because the Yellowbird is a genuinely historic car on its own, and because Porsches will likely cost money.

I'm ecstatic for Porsche's inclusion, but it's disappointing to see RUF seemingly scrubbed from the game. I'm hoping it's just EA being EA, and not something Microsoft or T10 chose to do on their own.

I doubt it.
project Cars and Forza are 2 very different franchises doing their own thing.

I doubt what happens in one will affect the other.

So, we'll know they're done with car reveals come September 15th.

However, with a possibly huge Porsche Pack coming for FM6 later in 2016, and with the possibility of a long-deal agreement either between EA and T10 or between Porsche and T10 to include 911s and what-have-you in future Forza titles, I could see RUF playing a significantly smaller role in Forza, or no role at all. After all, the brand appeared only in FM4 - which was the first game of the series with no Porsche in it at launch.

As for the 300ZX, the Metro 6R4 was spotted in a video about FM5. They may still have one last surprise, or it may be a DLC car which is already in game and that somehow found its way in a promotional image. Maybe intentionally... Too many leaks for it to not start looking like a habit.

Anyways, am I the only one sad for the disappearance of the Mugen CR-X? I loved that boxy can of fun.

Some of those cars above should not be missing from FM6. Especially cars like the Indy Lights, and the USF2000 which were some of the last DLC for FM5 and full Forzavista models! Same with the CRX Mugen, and the Ferrari 312PB etc. I can understand if they lost some of the race cars due to licensing and Citroen seems oddly absent in both FH2 and now FM6 (could a loss there). RUF could also be a casuality.

But we still have the 2016 Focus RS, which T10 did confirm "Accompanying the Forza liveried Focus RS at Gamescom is the Ford’s ultimate supercar, the Ford GT. Both cars will be available to drive in Forza Motorsport 6" as well as the 300ZX IMSA that we saw in screenshots so I expect a Day One Launch bonus car pack like Horizon 2. We also have the Fast and Furious cars to announce to it would make sense to save that announcement so that both the Day One DLC announcements are together. People are asking BADNED and hopefully we get a response - cause hopefully were not done yet!
