Ok this is whats happening in this thread

Forza's 700 cars are **** because they are 90% from the previous game.

GT3 is the only important racing division, all the others are ****.

Forza's car models are **** because they chose quantity over quality.

Forza's Porsche list is weak other games have better Porsche cars.

Turn 10 don't listen to the community.

Cars that are older then 2017 are not worth it.

Nobody want's road cars.

Turn 10 only talks about 4K60fps 700 cars blah blah blah.

if there is more feel free to add.

You forgot "Games which completely gut their single-player content in favour of online are much better and Forza players are encouraged to sell their consoles and PCs and buy PS4s instead to play checkerboard 4k graphics and enjoy static 2D photo backgrounds".

This thread is hilarious. Classic.

I'm going to put my money on GT Sport this year and invite others to do the same. T10 needs to learn that we care about content and not their multi-million dollar dev center.
Wait a minute. So you're going to chose a game with less cars, tracks, and a smaller offline career mode over FM7 just because it has mostly content from the previous FM titles?

Gran Turismo Sport has some qualities that will make it a better purchasing decision for certain types of players.

Not everyone needs a Single Player Career; I spend the majority of my time in Public Multiplayer lobbies and only do Single Player for Achievement/Trophy completion.

Not everyone needs 700 cars, some players will be happy with developing an intimate connection to the few dozen cars they do drive.

The only thing that disappoints me when it comes to Gran Turismo Sport is the track roster, not because of how sparse it is but because the classic fictional circuits (Grand Valley, Midfield Raceway, Deep Forest etc.) are absent.

I still have questions unanswered about Forza Motorsport 7, none of which relate to content. Gran Turismo's overall game design philosophy is something that appeals to me and I will spend time with it.

Eh, other than photomode and graphics PCARS2 does everything GTS does better.

You're right about that, but that' doesn't seem to be going on here. The specific mention of Forza and it's lack of new content, while praising one that is also not using entirely new content, with less features than its predecessors, and less content in general, just makes it seem like an odd post.

How can one get mad for one company trying to keep as much as their content as possible, and not at another for losing a good chunk of it. Doesn't really add up to me, especially so when "content" was the main focus point of his post.

That is true, players may not care for a single player career and prefer online racing. However, that's not the argument the other guy was making; he was saying that he's going to play GT Sport since most of the content in FM7 was featured in previous installments. A game that has way less content along with actual variety in the content.

Though yes, I probably shouldn't have brought up the single player career mode here as it wasn't the main subject. I'll save that for the other thread comparing these games.

Honestly, any cars that made their debut in Horizon 3 and were not in 6 I'm counting as new.

As Motorsport and Horizon are pretty much different games.

It's certainly not a bad roster and I don't mind recycled cars.

I'm annoyed by the absence of the Reliant Supevan... Hopefully that will be a forzathon prize if they are doing things like that.

I'm also annoyed by the lack of a Talbot Sunbeam and MG Metro.

I'm disappointed not to see many new BTCC cars in the game.. Only Adam Morgans A class this year, the old Ebay WSR beeper, and Rob Hollands S3.

It's still a good roster of vehicles But I do get people's frustrations.

Hoping the Car Packs will offer some really good vehicles.

The supervan and Morgan missing bothers me a lot.

Taking the Isetta around the Nurburgring stock was some of the most fun I had.

I hope they wont make up some BS excuse like "Oh they aren't practical for the track"

Yes because they are practical for jumping over sand dunes and going through forests and climbing up Mountains etc.

I dunno what it is. But these were some of the Cars I was like "Can't wait to drive these in 7"

A Regal Supervan race round a wet Nordschleife on Slick Tyres could have been one of the most fun (and stupid) things ever ;D

For what it's worth I'm more upset about losing these Cars than I am the Toyota's

To be fair, while I am slightly disappointed in certain cars' absence,I only really utilised about 20-25% of cars in FM6 so it's not all bad for me,but I do understand the expectations of new content that will presumably come over the next 6 car packs.

If you're bound to a PS4 or Xbox One not X, then yes.

Otherwise, just photomode (I guess, there's real pictures of cars online for free just saying)

I wouldn't give up on your favorite silly cars yet, if I were you. Turn 10 is clearly hiding some cars in FM7 like with FH3. The Regal could be a prize car for some kind of race.

700 cars built for this gen, all with Forzavista, yeah, it's totally the same as GT bragging about its copy/paste 1000 cars. I think Turn 10 can brag about their work, well deserved in my opinion. I think folks need to realize cars are cars, they don't change, so hearing "its the same content"....yeah it's a racing game...? Damn sports games and the same teams every year!!

The more options the better. I'd like to see more non-racing cars, i.e bring back the DeLorean!

People are annoyed they reused a lot the FH3/FM6 cars, but people would also be annoyed if they didn't and cut that content off.

I mean, obviously it's slightly frustrating to see so little new content, but we still have no idea how the career rewards work and what's hidden in there. And besides, there's a metric crap ton of interesting stuff that was added with FH3 that I'm really looking forward to try in FM7 (Falcon vs Torana vs Charger in a classic battle at Bathurst anyone?)

Yeah, I don't really get the complaint about re-used assets — did people think T10 was going to drop perfectly good models?*

Complaining about a lack of new content, sure. I get that, I really do. But that's a whole different thing.

* - When I say perfectly good, I'm not talking about the Chevelle, MR2, R32, and others of that quality level...

So I just watched a video on YouTube basically showing pics of every car confirmed for the game and I must admit it has rejuvenated a little hype into the game for me.

I've noticed a lot of Cars that have been absent since Forza 4 are coming back. As someone who never owned an X Box 360 so never got to play 4 this means I get to drive some of these cars for the first time ;D, so they are new to me.

Sure there are a few absentees that don't sit well with me but I will just keep fingers crossed they are being held back for Forzathon prizes :)

So a big thanks to Sick RaceR for making that Vid.

It is still think if you could combine Forzas Car Roster with Project Cars 2 Track list you would have my ultimate game.

... and current Touring Car Masters(TCM). The variety is awesome for the two classes of cars.

That and recreating this. The T10 car list shines when making classic races. I can see replicating ATCC and global Group A as a bigger series on XBOX, than the Supercars series.

I think that the lack of three-wheeled vehicles in Forza Motorsport 7 is because the physics for three-wheeled cars isn't ready enough for the Motorsport franchise yet.

This is the one that came first to mind considering some of the cars that looked really poor in FM5, were FM4 models. So obviously, they have been able to carry over assets easily. It should be a requirement though, that they go through a re-touch to bring their quality up to the newer cars. The Saleen S7 has looked really shady for years now & I'll bet it still looks off in FM7.
A week late, but it's worth pointing out that this situation only applies to two comparable games, and FM5 definitely carried content better than its competitor.

I see some subpar models here and there, others pop and make me say wow, 6 months and hundreds of hours in.
But none have been noticeable while driving, which in my opinion, is most important.

I am curious with 4k, if they will do as well keeping older content from looking dated.

It's not in the list at the start of the thread, so no :)

Good to know. That could very well mean that they have a few more surprises left. Particularly since we're only up to 670 cars and I can't see that 44 cars are all going to be Forza Edition models!

Probably the day-one pack will include some of the cars that were leaked with the FH3 debug version accident. And aren't we missing a manufacturer for the 90 we were promised? It could easily be Jensen.

The Day One Car Pack is rumoured to be The Fate of the Furious Car Pack, according to this link.

I saw those Fate of the Furious car pack listing on some retailers. Not sure if there was ever any official word from Microsoft about it, but the listings where removed fairly quickly. That said, there was a Jensen Interceptor in one of the movies. Please T10, give me an Interceptor.
