Data Out
We’re opening up a new world for Forza Motorsport 7 players who want to expand their experience. What we colloquially refer to as a “Data Out” feature means that we now output a UDP data stream which players can take advantage of. This is the same data stream that powers the motion sleds we use at Turn 10 and now we’re putting that power in the hands of players. The possibilities here are limited only by the imagination of the developer – from motion sleds to dashboards, data logging, etc. All of the data is sent to a remote machine at 60fps but localhost streaming is not supported.

The initial data structure is designed to support motion sleds. For a look at the current output structure available to players, check out this post on the Forza forums.

Interesting. Apart from the obvious possibilities access to a UDP data stream opens up (motion sleds, wheel-integrated dashes, etc.), I wonder how analyzing this stream may help us understanding Forza's physics engine, and push T10 to improve it in the future?

In any case, it feels like they are getting serious about things all of a sudden. Not that I do mind - quite the opposite, in fact.

I'm glad they finally getting serious with some things. One thing the notes did say for today though was there's other fixes that will be listed in tomorrow's patch notes. I'm hoping there's some sound fixes and a couple of glitches cleaned up along with one or two things done for freeplay as well. It seems like a lot of these updates is geared more so for multiplayer and photomode lately...what about free play and career modes?

There's been not one thing for photomode, besides this addition.

I'm at work and don't have any sound but.. WHY IS THERE A MCLAREN 720S IN THE TWITCH/MIXER LIVESTREAM?!?

Well this car roster is finally getting more interesting. Still itching for more newer imsa cars though especially the prototypes.

And now it's just Hoonigan stuff, as if we haven't known these cars for months. Well, back to Project Cars 2!

One little detail I noticed in the update is that all the photos of the Hoonigan pack cars are taken in FH3's Australia. There's no photo of the Hoonigan Holden Commodore Ute because it's not available in FH3.

I look forward to both the new IMSA Mustang and the Fiesta FE. I welcome the new tools in photo mode, too. This should be a fun update.

I have found a way to turn off the headlights on any track and any time or weather :).

When the track is loaded, go to the car select menu and hover over the car you want. if the headlights are on, go up and down till the lights dim. The headlights will then turn off. But you must go like 2 times up/down or 3, not up and down.
Ah. Nice. Gonna give it a try tonight. 👍

That is probably a glitch and not a feature, happened to me at Sebring.

What a weird way to do that but if it works...then I guess it works lol. They honestly should just map a freaking button in one these huge updates they release each month for both headlights and windshield wipers...how hard can that be.

Or atleast let us chose before the race in Forzavista mode.

Is there a slider for the actual setting? While I do like it, I would prefer less of a blur on the actual focal point.

It's just a binary switch between tracking and panning. The blur around the focal point is dictated by shutter speed. I had it set at a way higher value than normal (46 versus my usual 15 or so) just to exaggerate the effect to demonstrate it.

EDIT: Also, no hidden goodies in the files, but here's a preview of the Fiesta FE:
