Will look into his tunes, thanks.
Raceboy77, has a ton of tunes out there. Honestly, I've seen other tunes just like his, or better, by lesser known tuners. The dude you mentioned, JSR Lee Campbell is a excellent tuner. Haven't seen much of him in FM7 though. Another legendary tuner is GTZ Liquid, you may remember him as well from FM4. It pays to look at other tuners, because you might find something good. Another tuner who contributes to this site is RPM Bibblefish. He is a top racer here, and has some excellent tunes. I recommend him highly.

Ah yes, I recently heard of that GTZ liquid guy thanks to Johnson Racing from youtube. I'll look at RPM Bibblefish aswell. Thanks.

I couldn't sleep early this morning, so I decided to turn on Forza for a bit. An E30 against five high level any category AI cars, the full Nurburging, and lightning to heavy rain to light fog is a beautiful thing. Thought I'd share.

There's this odd visual bug when you choose a car for a race.

The car is rotating on a giant platern and when you click "go" the body rotates but the wheels remain stuck.

This looks horribly unprofessional like the car is four wheel sterering. I didnt notice it at the start so maybe it was introduced in a patch.

I've noticed that too. It seems like it was introduced within the last couple updates, or at least that's around when I first noticed it.

I've seen it almost since day one. I distinctly remember it being one of the most notable bugs in the game.

Funnily enough, I feel like that particular visual glitch was a product of the One X patch back in early November.

It really is a frustrating one. It has absolutely no bearing on the gameplay itself, so I'd call it minor. But it's persistent, and it gives off this whiff of unpolishedness that really brings the experience of the game down

I don't really understand how it's gone unchecked for six months.

So like everything that's in Forza 7, then. /s but not really

It must have happened in the last update, but in the car collection screen, the Chrysler Valiant that was called a Dodge Charger but then was fixed to say Chrysler Valiant but then reverted to Dodge Charger is once again a Chrysler Valiant.

Chrysler 300 has no mirrors on the outside view

But has mirrors on the inside

I am actually doing okay in some races, I managed to get podium finishes a few times between today and yesterday. Though I still need to improve my driving a bit in some areas, I suffer some cases of late braking and brake locking leading me to bad crashes. Oh and today; I for some reason had an issue with repeating circuits. I ended up racing in S-Class on La Sarthe Mulsanne 4 times in a row for instance and Maple Valley short 3 times. Both instances where due to a majority selecting the random option, but that option just kept leading to the same course. It was like being stuck in an infinite loop.

I just plopped in Forza 6 after a seven month hiatus in playing Forza 7 and wow what a more polished game. I didn't even realize the difference in graphics like that between the two until now. If F7 had F6 polish and lighting along with the car sounds which is another area where forza 6 just flat out wins with most cars then it would be already twice as good. Then there's several cars that I'm using that they cut for Forza 7 including Toyota obviously, I'm having fun all over again with 6. Just can't beat the freeplay options with 7 though, I'm having a tough time seeing all these mixed division cars lol.

I've said this before, but Forza life would be better if the cars from FM7 were instead DLC for FM6. The track list is almost identical anyway and we would still have access to Toyota and Lexus.

It highlights the problems of releasing these games on a yearly schedule. FM7 was released because it had to be, but they clearly shouldn't have until they reached a point in development where the game was good enough to replace FM6.

The sheer variety of cars aside, the only thing I like better about FM7 is the subtle variety added to the weather and time "system". Seriously.

The game is Bi-yearly. However, I agree with your sentiment. What I see the problem is, is that I feel they put too much into 4K AND HDR YADA YADA and I wonder how much it hurt further development on other aspects of the game, especially considering they wanted it to launch in time for the one X. I do enjoy the up in graphical quality, but with so little changed, and after the appeal wore off, you realize how much is actually lacking.

I’m not so sure about that “up” in graphical quality since not everything is up. Trees are back to 2D trees, grass looks more dull and while sometimes the tracks look graphically really impressive, on just plain daylight there is something about the lighting that looks really dull as well.

Over the “Forza years” some of the cars have been toned down as well. If you start up FM5 you will see the Toyota Trueno has a metallic part in its front bumper, not anymore in FH3 for example. In FM5 the Abarth Fiat 131 still had metallic rims, in FH3 and FM7 it both has dull black rims. Look up photos from the real life car and it indeed came with these metallic rims.

Actually if you look at cars in the garage or with Forzavista, of all current gen Forza games they still look hands down the best in the FM5 garage IMO. Why has the graphical quality for garage cars gone down with the years?

With FM7 I also have the feeling that way too much effort has gone in it being an X1X 4K 60 FPS promotion title and not enough focus was on actual gameplay improvements.

Let’s hope FM8 will raise the bar properly again and not just feel like a slightly updated version of FM7. Even for biannual releases, there still needs to be an attractive reason for players to buy the new version other than just having a few new tracks and cars. Horizon has it a bit easier though as every game always has a completely new map, whereas Motorsport already includes the tracks from the previous iteration.

But hey, these announced future updates for FM7 look interesting and Turn 10 only does this because they are working on FM8 and they use FM7 as a “live testing platform” (which is good). After the EOL of FM6 they rejuvenated the game as well with all these updates for Forza RC and spectator mode, that was also just the live testing platform for changes that were in development for FM7 at the time.

Forza 5 had 1970's IndyCar and Forza 6 had 1990's Indycar. Forza 7?
Don't care about Dubai map. .. Belongs in Forza Horizon... Essentially no new actual race tracks were added since Miami and Virginia were Forza 6 dlc....

Edit... Well we did get Mugello.....

I don't think there's much more they can do with the XOne without further compromising their stance on high rez 60 fps philosophy. That's why I lamented the fact that Sony and MS were pushing ahead with 4K when they did not have the horsepower.

They did the GT thing where instead of optimizing what they had, they pushed what they didn't. Happens every generation.

A start would be to downsize the car roster. While it's nice having nearly 800 different vehicles from a rich history of Motorsport and few redundants, I think that has a lot to do with the quality of other things. Another thing that can go is track side forzavista...or just the regular home Forza Vista. One should be dropped because honestly it seems a little repetitive and again could make more room for say I don't, more home spaces like Forza 4. There's ways they can balance quality and quantity but they are letting quantity take the cake and quality has been suffering with this game because of that.

I think you mean Monza.

What, you dont like the 15 different Raptors?

Haha heck nah lol. That's probably one of the only few repeat vehicles we have. All they really needed to add was the 2011-2014 verison and the new 2017 with the option to convert it to a Shelby. We have like 6 of those things now.

I really like Forzavista but indeed the track side one is just pointless. And in FM7 Forzavista got downgraded from FM6 as well...

Yeah, but it is also a feature that can be implemented without much coding and which required no new assets whatsoever. It's pointless, yes, but it's also basically a zero-cost addition to the game.

TBH, I am starting to wonder if T10 doesn't simply have manpower issues. Their QC troubles and the slow pace at which they are adding new assets would certainly seem to point at that.
