Hey all. I'm still new to the game and have some general observations, and no one in my daily life would care to discuss the game. So...
- I've been playing with photo mode a bit and noticed no one is driving that truck in Dubai.
- The different dealers are a bit confusing, but I think I have it mostly figured out. I even found some a couple previous specialty dealer cars in the auction site, a Subaru Legacy B4 (I like the car and nearly bought a real one) and one of the special Miatas. Miata20 or something.
I even took a rather poor low light photo of the Legacy. The
944 in the rain is a bit better, though. And I'm a little unsure of the
BRZ and a big rock.
- I also auctioned off a couple Audis which sold immediately. Then I tried auctioning off a racing Audi, mainly because the livery contains a previous employer's logo. No one bid, so I just repainted it.
- I'm unsure how selling cars will affect tier progression.
- I tried multiplayer, as well as the leagues. I kind of like the ghost race leagues. I did try a couple simulation races, which were mixed, as at least two players were just ramming. It also looks like I've muted everyone. I only intended to mute one person, but everyone's silenced, and I'm okay with that.
- The Climbkana racing gear is always labeled as "new." Minor thing, though.
- I don't care for the badges. At least in 6 (and I think a few earlier games) the badge people choose was interesting, like if a person picked the platinum clean laps icon it showed some type of achievement and dedication. Now it's not more than, "I guess that person likes the flower shape thing better than the rock/bear shape thing." Again, minor.
- I'd like quicker access to test drive/solo lapping, but I can deal with it.
- Being able to adjust tuning on the fly is nice, but I did have a kind of glitch. I was adjusting gear ratios on a straightaway, rewinding a bit, and trying again. When I resumed the gear changed to reverse, and the car went into an continual, tire-squealing spin.
- Overall I'm liking it. I wasn't sure what to expect given a lot of the critical reviews, but I'm finding a lot to like.
