I wouldn't want to risk my F7 or FH3 save, specially since there are apparently no way to back it up, or is there?

All saves get backed up to the cloud, which I’m guessing is the cause of this issue as Forza isn’t the first to have the deleted save issue.

Yeah, but there should be a 'manual' way to back it up physically, to like a USB flash drive/HDD like earlier generation consoles.

Oh well. Won't be turning on the Xbox One until the problem is solved.

Enough to do in other games anyway. ;)

I noticed something weird when doing the Audi 90 GTO challenge around Watkins Glen - the Toyota and Nissan are upgraded to X-class, but are limited to c.445hp and c.480hp respectively!

What is the trick to get the Mercedes I won on Forzathon, did I not hold down something at the exact moment? It said I won it but now the sliding progess thing shows zero for winning that last race and it is not in my garage.

I won a 4 lap Indy track race and on bottom after that it said I had won the car, pretty sure it said that but it also said hold down for a split second and I didnt.

Forzathon is a bit bugged. Do another race (doesn’t matter how short) and it should pop up.

Thanks, I got it. Is "auction" an actual auction in that other players are the buyers? Can you sell a car to the game for money?

Yes an auction is an actual auction and other players are buying the cars. AFAIK, you are unable to sell a car back to the game.

Just got the game and started really digging in to it last night and finished the first few race series. After a couple of hours my loyalty rewards popped up, I think I'm tier 10 or something like that, received a message and an achievement for 10 racing suits owned. Here's where I am a bit confused, the loot box thing is a bit confounding, somehow I received something like 15 Basic Mod loot boxes which I think were part of the loyalty rewards, is that normal?

The majority of cars can be sold back to the game for a smaller CR value than the initial amount you paid for them. If you got a car for free you can’t sell it.

All of that is normal, the Mod Crates are part of the Loyalty Rewards you get when you begin playing for the first time.

Thanks, I still have 9 left unopened, I suppose I leave them for when I need them .

How do you claim drivatar rewards?

Also I skipped a section in career, if I complete everything else do I still have to start over?
Drivatar Rewards are collected automatically every time you start up the game

I'm sure that Turn 10 isn't cheating me, but just to make me feel a little better about it; I would like to see the credits added to my bank. And I would like the game to do so at my prompting. I would hold on to the credits until they are able to splurge on a car or two.

Something else I would like to see in Forza are all of my lap times in a race or event, not just my fastest. I feel it would be useful to see if my fastest clean lap was, faster than my quickest invalidated lap. And to see my consistency, or lack thereof.

I didn't pay much attention to it back in FM6, but the Endurance GT online lobby is actually quite fun. The longer races tend to scare the idiots away (though you'll inevitably find some anyway) and as a result the racing is pretty good. I actually managed to win 2 races and was on the verge of winning a 3rd one when I made a silly mistake and lost contact with the leader. This would actually make a great league to play in once those things are finally in the game.

Exactly as to each lap time being on the screen. GT does that and it is the only way to know if I am improving or not.

Really? Then I may have found the avenue to scratch my multiplayer itch. Since FM2's CPLs went away, I have been playing less and less of Forza multiplayer. I did run a couple of C class races back when I first built the PC, and surprisingly things were trouble, and grief free. If endurance racing is as you say, then I will spend a lot more time on Forza. Thanks.

You'll probably have to stay out of trouble for the first lap or two, but usually once the race has truly started and the kids realise it's not a 3 lap sprint, they leave and it gets a lot cleaner. YMMV though, but so far I've had good fun.

Can I confirm you are talking about Forza 7 and the multiplayer section? C class races are one of the options in there I presume, not looking at it right now.

I did notice yesterday some of the races were so many laps that were I to want to play like during my lunch hour I wont be able to as it will take too long to join a race and complete it. Hopefully most of the MultiPlayer races wont be like that.

Most of the Multiplayer Hoppers require cars from specific Divisions. That being said, some of the currently available Divisions use cars in the C/500 range.

The majority of Multiplayer Hopper races are 5-7 minutes long.

One notable exception is the Modern GT Endurance Hopper where races can last around 20 minutes.

With the first two nights of racing behind me (I'm currently tier 3, and I started the 2nd set of events), overall I like the game but I have some reservations which I'll get to later. I'd say the core gameplay is better than ever, the physics are the best I've experienced in a Forza game to date, the graphics are gorgeous and the track offerings seem better than ever. Plus the inclement weather and time progression are very well done and add immensely to the immersion factor. I also think they did a bang up job on the race menus, I can finally upgrade cars from the race menu right before a race.

I am having a lot of fun with this game, which to me is the most important thing of many things that I take into consideration when evaluating a new game The driving experience is just stellar now, not that it was bad in FM6, but FM7 feels like more than just a moderate improvement. Racing just feels more exhilarating now, more than ever. After playing 6 Forza Motorsport titles prior to this, you'd think I would feel somewhat jaded about FM7 but that's not the case at all. Turn 10 has managed to breathe fresh air into this long running game series and made it feel exciting again.

Now that the good stuff is out of the way, let's get on with my reservations about the game. I hate the AI, they seem completely and totally unaware that you are there and drive like mindless drones around the track, it honestly feels eerily similar to the AI of an early Gran Turismo game. I can't fathom how after 6 games that they couldn't get this part right.

Next up, is I despise that so many cars are locked up and are unattainable until they are offered in the specialty dealer or a Forzathon event. I fully understand that more and more developers are using these sort of tactics to prolong the life of their games and keep people playing as long as possible but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Now, I can see using say 5 cars as special rewards/prizes like they did with older Forza games like FM3 but the sheer amount of cars locked behind a prize wall is staggering and diminishes some of the freedom we previously had with previous titles being able to purchase cars we wanted, when we wanted them. I think a far better approach would be to create new cars as prize cars instead of locking out users from content in the stock game they paid for. For example, I like how many Porsches were offered as Forzathon event prizes in Horizon 3, I like the way Playground games handled it far better than this current system in FM7.

Lastly, I have to pick on both the loot box system and Mods, I really hate the idea of both, the mods somewhat to a lesser extent. I didn't use them much in FM6 and I suppose that I could ignore mods again now too, but I just don't think they belong in a racing game period, to me, mods stick out like sore thumb in a game that's attempting to be somewhat realistic and immersive.

I just noticed this glitch. On the 1970 AMC Rebel "The Machine" the side mirrors don't open with the door. The stalks for the side mirrors do, but the mirrors themselves don't.
Interestingly, the mirrors are properly modeled in Horizon. No idea how a car can pick up this glitch between the two games.
