I've raced with Super GT a few times, we're on around the same pace level in Hoppers. This particular race didn't go so well (I get sideswiped by a Lotus halfway through Lap 1) but I usually get good battles when I'm in a Hopper with him.

Am I the only one that still thinks we may get some DLC today? With the way they worded it the first time around, it seems like Ultimate and Deluxe edition owners always get Early Access now.

In career mode usually you cant rent a car. My question is if I have a car that qualifies for that race, will it pop up so I wont buy one instead?

And can you rerun the career races once completed to make money? Can you go to a series you completed or will it reverse everything you did up to that point?

Yes, if you have an available car they will pop up first, and the Rent a Car and Buy Car options will sit on top of that.

As for the series, you can run anything multiple times, but be weary, because if you have a current series partially finished, it will remove the progress for the one you were in prior.

The new leagues sound very interesting, with the game punishing people that will "hit and quit" as I like to call it:

Finish and Starting Position award points based on where you start and where you finish, and are scaled by the number of players that you start a race with. If players drop out mid-race, you’ll be awarded the points based on the number of players who were on the grid at the start. In addition, as a further deterrent to players dropping from races early, players who leave a race early will receive a last place (read: negative) points payout.

However:

Leagues in Forza Motorsport 7 are designed to bring great racing to players of all skill levels. What I’m most excited about is the ways we can reward League players. It starts with credit rewards. Every day you log into Leagues and finish an Event, you’ll be awarded with a daily credit gift. You’ll also earn a credit bonus for your first podium finish of the day. If you’re promoted to another Rank, that’s another credit bonus and, should you move between Bands after an event, you’ll get an even bigger credit bonus. In fact, the higher you go up the Bands, the more credits you can earn for promotion.
It’s not just credits. As you can see from the screen above, we’ll be able to gift League players with awesome rewards, including exclusive cars, player badges, and Driver Gear. For our first Season, players across all Bands will be able to earn great gifts like the new Gingerbread Man and New Years Driver Gear suits, as well as two exclusive cars: the 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE and the 2000 BMW Z8.

Wanna bet the elusive 991 GT3RS will be a league reward?

Does anyone have issues downshifting? It seems a bit of a lottery for me if car will shift down or not. I thought my controller button was broken but seems to function fine in the menus. Also is using clutch option a big advantage even in a GT-R, I see top times being set with that? Race cars seems manual is fine regarding speed, if only I could downshift properly. I find it so hard to even do one corner properly in this game, struggle so much getting car stopped and turned in the corners. I wished they improved the physics a lot, doesn't seem much has changed in handling from FM5 and FM6, still pretty terrible to drive.

Hopefully not. That’s some bull:censored: that the car is available to drive through Rent, but if you want to personalize it, you’ll have to beat a bunch of people online.

Honestly, I’m getting annoyed by the locked cars now. Even after you get them, you can’t buy duplicates, even through the Auction House.

I got an Xbox One X this week and spent the afternoon setting it up, quite the leap since I skipped the Xbox One S ;)

The setup took a while but having an external hard drive meant that I could transfer my games over without downloading them again (no way am I downloading 95GB of Forza Motorsport 7 twice ), and my game saves and progress managed to sync up safely too. I also ported over Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 3 so that I have as many paint backups as possible.

I haven’t don’t any races yet as I was focusing on the transfers today but the one thing I immediately noticed was the effect that 4K had on my Driver Gear; the Samurai suit’s details really stand out now.

The better a car’s gearbox is, the less benefit you’ll get from running Manual/Clutch. In road cars it is almost universally faster (unless hitting the clutch causes severe traction issues when upshifting) and in race cars it doesn’t make much difference.

Top top players tend to disable the clutch in race cars but the performance differential is so small that it is only really a concern if you are paeticipating in highly competitive events. For us mere mortals who try to have fun in Single Player or Hoppers, you may as well leave the Clutch on all the time.

Are you serious? That's just dumb. Yeah now I'm even more glad that I've gone back to playing FM6 again...

Basic question about how to use game. I need a bunch of money or credit to continue career.

I thought when you did "free play" races you won money or credits, just did one, 6 laps, won, nothing.

How do I make money? If I am in the Last career division, FORZA, can I go to one of the EARLIER brackets like "Masters" or "Domination" and do races to earn money without having to RESTART at whatever division I go back to?

Are you sure? I've been able to purchase multiple Crown Victorias and XTS Limousines on the Auction House since they fixed it. Granted it won't let you search for the specific vehicle, but searching for just their respective manufacturers usually gets a few to turn up.

You can go back at any time, you won’t lose progress in your current Series.

In fact, you will have a reason to go back later on.

In Free Play if you use a Rented car you get nothing.

Unless they've changed it, I remember people pointing out that the Auction House would not let you sell certain cars when it went online.

You should get at least 6100 credits from a short race, provided you use your owned cars. I’m assuming you don’t have VIP (which would double the earnings). Use longer length races (7-10 laps for longer tracks, more than 10 for short tracks), and get and use mods. The 30,000 crate gives you good earnings mods. Also, don’t play at any difficulty level that won’t increase your earnings, at least above average.

VIP? How do I get that?

I think I know where the crates are, you are saying there is one I can buy that increases winnings whenever I race at anything?

OK, looked at crates, dont understand them.

I guess I bought a couple crates, $30,000 each and now dont know what to do or how to use them.

When will I be able to use "race" tires or "race" brakes on a car?

Again I am new to this game. So almost every upgrade available to any car I have is NOT available actually because it makes the car exceed the points or PP for that category? I dont seem able to make hardly ANY changes to any cars.
