I don't know Motorsport Games licensing agreements with WEC nor the process that IMSA and manufacturers follows to license cars.

But the Xbox Showcase will be the same weekend as the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Plus, Xbox is still a partner of 24h Le Mans.

So maybe the next FM will include Hypercars and LMDh/GTP.

Looks like the FM cover art has been revealed. From the Game Pass Newsletter

Sounds promising to get the LMDH lineup. Hopefully, the Caddy's competitors (Porsche 963, Acura ARX-06, BMW M Hybrid V8, VanWall Vandervell 680, GR010 and 499P) make it. This could possibly explain why Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus was mentioned in FH5's string files.

So maybe the next FM will include Hypercars and LMDh/GTP.

This explains why the 2021 IMSA will come as DLC, beacuse the main focus will be about the LMDh of IMSA

Also it confirms that cars are coming to motorsport and iRacing at same time since this follows up the MissonR and the same studio that is doing car scan also works with iracing, so it is possible that some iracing cars like the Renaut Clio Cup and the Toyota GR86 North America may come to the game as well

The EA F1 games have exclusive rights to you driving a full grid of Formula 1 teams and drivers, but that doesn’t stop one-offs appearing in other games, like the Mercedes in iRacing (or the Renault in Forza Motorsport 7).

You definitely won’t be able to do the WEC in Forza Motorsport or the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but maybe you’ll be able to do the “Global Endurance League” on a “French countryside circuit”, with Porsches, Cadillacs etc.

The document was posted on reddit before, but i can't find it anymore.
Some things that were in it included the following exclusive licences:

• to the WEC Name and Naming of the Events
• to the "24 hours of LeMans" names and Logos
• the ability to drive on track and car combinations that are featured in the WEC Series (in official and non-official events)
• Usage of the "Hypercar, LMP1, LMP2, LMP3, LMGTE AM, LMGTE Pro" names

I'll be very happy if that's the official cover (and not just for the Cadillac ). Put the Motorsport in Forza Motorsport front and center.

Yeah it looks pretty tamed, while also not looking too serious or going overboard with the style. I very much like the cover art. I also like the fact that there is both a race car and a road car in the cover. It's almost like T10 is saying the car list is going to be a balance between both race and road cars, like FM1 for example, which would be wonderful.

I just hope with a hybrid (seemingly) being on the cover it's a sign they are actually going to simulate the various systems used in the car world.

Really, it's no problem. Not everyone is fluent in English.

For reference, GT7 has the Toyota GR010 Hybrid, so I don't think licensing cars is an issue. Le Mans is also in the game, but weirdly, there are no events that utilize prototype racing cars in its career mode.

I'm guessing we will still get Le Mans and new FIA WEC race cars (GTE/Le Mans Hypercar/LMDh), but perhaps no career mode events at Le Mans.

A full custom server/lobby browser would solve it for multiplayer. But for single player, they will have to rely on free play, or make Forza GTP or Forza Hypercars as an event.

Keyarts are usually a composite of multiple images and not a raw photo/screenshot from in-engine.

I’ve opened up the Photoshop documents for the keyarts of games I’ve worked on and there’s a lot of layer work going on 😎

If that’s Paul Ricard and if the cars are driving around the circuit in the right direction, then it’s likely the exit of Turn 7 on the F1 layout.

It has a number 3 on it. I imagine it's an indication that we are now three weeks in until the showcase + hinting at the game's release for Q3?
