Isnt league licence? Forza has a League wide license with IMSA
Most league licenses don’t include the cars. DiRT Rally 2.0 didn’t have the Hyundai rallycross cars for example (though we tried really hard).

F1 does, which is why F1 games have all the cars and tracks. Lots of approvals still needed elsewhere in the games though, like sponsors, liveries, individual landmark buildings etc.

What resolution and settings do you take these at? They are super crisp and stunning.
To add to your point, the newer models look better modelled/more detailed than the older ones. Could this be one of the reasons:

They used Glassegg before this.

They also make models for PC2, iRacing, Driveclub, NFS and the crew 2
does this mean they will fix the proportions? or will they just look better while keeping the wrong proportions?

Afaik this is for modelling new cars. Unless they are rescanning and remodelling the inaccurate ones, we will only see improvements in texture, paint, reflections and glass.

I know we are doing supositions but do you think IMSA includes car or not? at least some IMSA cars are confirmed that will be on next game but i dont know how far it goes

Didn't Porsche have an exclusive deal with EA several years ago? Seems like I remember it took quiet awhile to get Porsche into Forza until that deal was done.

The Real Bullshot Simulator?

(Inb4 someone says Scapes count as "in-game" shots)
Sim steering?
Yeah.. honestly, it is kind of crappy that they have such impressive model but are incapable of really using them in-game due to the lack of power of the PS5. Definitely should have been one of their main titles for PC ports.

A 4k 120fps GT7 with ray tracing on a 4090 would be quite the showcase.

PC support is going to be a big advantage for Forza Motorsport.

Also, I just got post 1776.

I don’t know the details of IMSA’s relationship with Microsoft.

For the GRID games the IMSA partnership was essentially liveries, Codemasters still had to go to Ford, Cadillac etc. and secure rights to the vehicles themselves.

It did.

Allegedly Toyota has a similar relationship with Sony now, given how difficult it has been for any game to get modern Toyotas since then.

I wouldn't mind brand affinity coming back actually, been playing some fm4 to keep me occupied til June and it makes me wanna drive more brands that I normally wouldn't touch often.
Any built-in excuse to try new cars would be very welcome to the game.

I don't think they're rescanning the old cars. I mean I saw the Developer Direct of this and they're using lumpy, badly-proportioned 360 era models among the new metal. So any chance of seeing them return are very high, including the aft-mentioned R32.

Still hoping those were just being used as placeholders for when they actually remodel the especially egregious ones like the monaro.

Its already clear they wont remodel the new cars, at least not for now, they are focusing in scan and bring the new racing cars instead of rescan street car

Also its maybe just me and my autism, but the model in game vs real diferences doesnt bother me than the lack of good intresting cars

This
I’d rather have lots of mediocre-looking but cool cars than a tiny car List that takes attention to detail so seriously that the developers even modelled a little piece of copyright text in one of the brake lights. Cool, but I don’t care.

I don’t care how detailed the cars look so long as there are tools and features in place to discourage people from punting me off the track. All the belwhistles are meaningless to me if the multiplayer experience is as aggressive and hostile as it was in the last 7 games.
I don't see this changing, a lot of good players have moved on from this series. I can't see it recovering from this.

Forza and GT have always been an introduction to sim racing. There will always be people moving on, buying a sim rig and heading to PC sims. But there will also be a stream of players starting fresh, and Forza/GT is that start.

also while You might not see it, Forza is also a great game for those who have limited time and simply don't have the room to do the practice or don't have wife approval for that sim rig (anymore). This is probably a much bigger audience than you think.

GTS and GT7 both have a way better online experience than any FM game while also still being casual friendly, it's not even close imo. I'd argue that a lot of players simply switched to GT, I was one of them.

Forza Race Regulations is a great foundation. FRR lobbies are leagues ahead of te average lobby.

They now need to compliment it with a driver rating system (quickness and clean driving as separate categories) just like gt.

An added bonus would be some sort of training or coaching system, with their supposed AI advancements.

I actually switched back to FM7 because I hated GT7 online options so much. Not sure if it has changed but there were little options for casual play, just user based rooms where you had to hope for the class you wanted to race and even then most were setup horribly. At least in FM7 I can go race any class B and up at any given time.

Daily races in GT7 were good but you really only get two options every week and that is still rinse and repeat with GR Classes. The other race is always some random throw away with a decent one maybe once a month or less. The penalty system is ok but cam be very frustrating at times. The tier system is decent.

FM2 had a very good tier system as well for those that remember. I don’t remember FM3, never played FM4 or FM5 unfortunately. Was raising toddlers at the time. Came back late to FM6. The FM7 weekly tournament had an ok system but function as whole could have been better. FM7 multiplayer isn’t the greatest but I have faith it is going to be much improved.

Seems like BTCC is going to rFactor2 for the time being.
rFactor belongs to MSG, they are doing it EXACTLY beacuse they want keep the exclusive rights
From what i saw from the link you sent, FM can havve before 2020 season cars and considering that the series has not changed much since them, i guess it wouldnt be a problem

I prefer TCR anyways and it looks that 90% of modern TCR will be on the game, hopefully the Hyundais and Toyota TCR will be in the game too

Hoping the improvements they've made to car paint materials give us some more options for custom paints like metallic levels and matte levels.

Looks like the FM cover art has been revealed. From the Game Pass Newsletter

Sounds promising to get the LMDH lineup. Hopefully, the Caddy's competitors (Porsche 963, Acura ARX-06, BMW M Hybrid V8, VanWall Vandervell 680, GR010 and 499P) make it. This could possibly explain why Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus was mentioned in FH5's string files.
