Its not nit picking, i had the same complaints for years. On some cars they look really good and on some cars its really bad especially on old cars. In FH5 they have improved alot, but if we compare it with GT7 it lacks really behind.

What resolution and settings do you take these at? They are super crisp and stunning.
To add to your point, the newer models look better modelled/more detailed than the older ones. Could this be one of the reasons:

They used Glassegg before this.

They also make models for PC2, iRacing, Driveclub, NFS and the crew 2

The newer models might have more fine details since they haven't been slowly polished over the last few years like some of the legacy models. I'd have to imagine some of the details don't really make it in since they're only polished. I could be wrong though, very very wrong.

The 458 and Skyline are 360 car models that got updated over the years. Its just super random, sometimes updated 360 cars are super detailed sometimes they are bad just like the new cars. I think different artist working on the cars show that some artist love smaller details more than others and they are probably more talented so they can add more details faster.

I do want to see a good improvement to the overall models being used.

GT7 has better models overall but Forza has done a better job with higher detailed models in-game. GT7 is winning every time in photomode but in-game, Forza is pretty much on top. (With LoD, not accuracy of models.)

I want GT7 on PC, a 4090 pushing high quality GT7 car models in real time gameplay would be awesome.

GT lost its main advantage of having biggest car list because of being too much perfectionist. Model quality of 360/PS3 era cars in FM/GT is enough for average gamer. If GTS start it car list with only GT6s premium cars(426) in GT7 carlist could be around 1000 cars.

They also make models for iRacing
I knew there had a link between iRacing and Forza when i saw MissionR just days after iRacing added it to service

Hopefully it Means that the Clio Cup and GR86 Cup North America are also coming to Forza

Also i find funny that they (both iRacing and Forza) have a studio that take cars in SEA region but still had not explored the cars of that market or even the racing series of that market

No it's not. You want nothing to do with Forza. Not sure why you post in the Forza threads.
Bro, the only reason I'm on xbox instead playstation is because of Forza, going back to Forza 3 I've purchased a 360, Xbox One in 2014 for Forza 5 and now a Series X. I literally don't give a crap about the rest of xbox studios and game projects. But it doesn't mean I'm gonna be silent about the game's flaws.

I guess it wont take much to see the IMSA LMDh cars as future updates of Forza Motorsport or even as Day 1 Car pack, since iRacing already have 2 of the new ones

Hope that the replay camera angles in the new FM are different from the current Forza titels.
Does anybody know if the replay settings from Laguna Seca in the trailer are the same or different from FM7?
I heared they were updating the replay system but how much deeper is unknown at this time

The trailer seems to be shot with Dev tools. The motion blur atleast looks much better than FM7.

Saw it coming from a mile away but still quite sad we're waiting until the direct for more news. Just par for the course for T10 at this point.

23 days until the big event.

All trailers are shot with dev tools.

Also, half the audio you hear isn’t from direct capture either, it’s dubbed in.

Realistically, Microsoft should put an “in engine footage” disclaimer on their videos but they go with “in-game 4k footage” instead which implies it’s raw gameplay, when it isn’t.

I think it would depend if BMW gave Iracing an exclusive license for the car. If that's the case then no one else will get it for a few years at least.

Motorsport Network has the exclusive licence for WEC and all its participants cars. That most likely means there won’t be any vehicle coming into the game from the LMDH/LMH class (but maybe the Acura since it doesn’t participate in the WEC for the foreseeable future).

Even if they kept the same crappy cameras, I'd be happy with some basic features like a lap/time counter in the replay, and replays that actually record the race instead of just 22 minutes (if there is no rain, then you are lucky to get 15 minutes). In the 360 era the cut off was 45 minutes which was... better, but then they cut it down.

I don't imagine that applies to LMDh the same way as it is more of an IMSA thing that WEC allows to run in the same class. There's already the iRacing teaser for the Caddy.

Thee licence is for WEC, does not apply to IMSA
IMSA is another "league" in this sense, different rights

Do you all think they should ditch the mod cards for the new FM?
Mod cars are just an easy base for a sponsor system a la f1. If they readjust the challenges on the modcards, they will function like the f1 games. Then they just need to make up fake sponsors and multiple stickers for each of them that you can apply on your car. The rewards are credits and xp, both of which are fine. Maybe they can add bigger rewards like cars or company driver gear (gloves, helmets, suits) to the mix as well. It very much seemed like this was something they were hinting at in the 2020 Corkscrew Reveal trailer:

They have a made up tire manufacturer and custom tire lettering with fake sponsors on cars and driver gear

These sponsors seemingly also sponsor events

Do note different positons thats sponsors are placed on the car including the sunstrip, which isnt on the actual car in FH4 or FH5.
Screenshot 2023-05-20 114337.png

Also do note the IMSA style car numbering. Hopefully we also get LED boards like the current WEC and IMSA grid.

They also really need to bring Manufacturer Affinity back. It has so much potential when put alongside the collector score and car rarity tiers.
Just make sure there are no wheelspins and lootcrates.
Some more sponsors i could spot:

I wouldn't jump to conclusions, licenses are negotiated closer to release, so those things could be placeholder art. We've even seen car licenses failing to be attained for the release date despite cars appearing in earlier marketing material.

FM7 has these type of sponsors
in fact Prorata (Tire company) is one of them.

Its mostly beacuse they saw GT was doing it to deal with lack of companies sponsoring the game and game felt bland without it, more a visual design deision than a idea to put sponsor stuff into the game or something like that

The only thing that i think it means, means that they will enhance the paint booth with more sticker options

The Real Bullshot Simulator?

(Inb4 someone says Scapes count as "in-game" shots)
For such an intrusive feature, users should have an opportunity to turn it off.
Sim steering?
