Hello guys, today I have to bring some unfornate news. I will be quiting the race series when season 2 is over. Reason for this is, that I wanna spend time on becoming a better driver in Forza and also because I have two series that I wanna start up (The Gumball Rally and the GT4 European Cup). This makes it hard for me to join in on races in season 3. I still will be finishing season 2 but after that it unfornately ends for me. Thanks everyone for the fun I had in the race series and maybe when Forza Horizon comes out, we will have a new series up and running.

I'll still invite you to race when I see you on...and I'll race in your Gumball Rally series when I'm free too.

So, I am new to the club. I have some questions. I tried reading the rules and explanations and such, but I am still a little confused...

1. When the can is selected for each event, do we use the same setup or do we just use the same car with whatever tune we select for ourselves?

2. How many people qualify? Is it the top 16 to qualify for each event or how does that work? I know we have a bunch of people, does everyone participate?

Thanks for the help.

^
1. Use any tune you want.

2. We have yet to fill a lobby so, yeah you're pretty much assured a spot in the race.

What Chris said........BUT you still need to participate in qualification because where ever you place in qualification is the position you are in the main race

BTW welcome........Great fun and great guys here

He Wiggs, how's your tune going? I could use some help  1.38.xxx and can't get faster ><

I haven't even started. I'll probably run some laps tomorrow evening or Friday morning. If I can put together something decent I'll send it to you. Don't hold your breath though....I don't know this track at all and I won't have much time to build a car and learn the track. :ill:

Ohww okay. I put up a time with a LB car tune, and I'm almost 4 seconds behind Fezz  So I was wondering what you were doing.. Maybe I see you online tomorrow, I don't have to work :)

That LB tune is probably your best bet, but I'll see what I can do. :) If I'm on tomorrow it will be after work, so it will probably be very late where you are at. I should be on early Friday though.

DC broke into the 1:34's for the lead...I haven't driven a single lap yet....haven't even built my car yet. I was planning on running some laps when I get off work later, but there's a bad storm coming our way. I'd hate to lose power during a save and screw up my Forza data. :scared:

Thanks for the response. A quick follow up though. Qualifying is done in Hot Lap mode, correct? So, how will you know my qualifying time?

That's correct. (Although I think you can do it in any mode really)

Your time will be on the leaderboards. If your not fast enough to get on the leaderboards in that car then well.... your not fast enough to get points anyway. :P

You can look at everyones qualifying time by clicking on leaderboards...circuit...A class...Sunset......then filter the settings to where it says "Club".......at this time you will be able to see EVERYONE in the club...top guy is the top time....Only the times that the car is selected for that week will be used...(no other Aclass car time is nul in void)....It also has to be a clean lap......

Well, I feel encouraged lol. Also, I don't really understand about sponsors and numbers and all that. Is there a specific skin I have to use? Sorry for all the seemingly silly questions.

Having a sponsor and number is just to keep up with the real life racing theme and to make it easy to spot each person out in the crowd and for pictures. You pick a sponsor and a number and put them on your car each week using the livery editor. Number has to be placed inside a placard that you can find in Fezz's storefront.

Edit: Use the google doc in the OP to see which sponsors and numbers have been taken. You should also make your entries there if you haven't already.

Ok thanks. I did pick a number (lucky number 7) and made all my entries there, just not a sponsor. Thanks for the help.

And just to make sure, this week is the Lotus 2 eleven?

Ran a few laps for a very underwhelming 1:39.5xx so far...and now there's something wrong with my wheel. It's upshifting on it's own...without any input from me. Not my day. :( Guess I need to research the problem and find out what I need to do because I can't race competitively with it right now. :( :grumpy: :ouch:

OK everyone, I want to apologize for being so tardy with the qualifying results. I have updated the Season Standings with the qualifying points. Since we are re-running the B Class race after the end of the season, we will add those points when the time comes. I have to come clean and let everyone know I have been cheating on Forza........with Ghost Recon,LOL!

What wheel do your have???

What wheel do your have???

Fanatec GT2. It's randomly upshifting on it's own once or twice per lap....sometimes druing a turn, sometimes on a straight. :banghead: ***EDIT***There's definitely a problem with my wheel. Now it's doing the same thing with downshifts, and it's more frequent....I can't get any type of rhythm or speed during a lap because I'm constantly in the wrong gear. It's something with the paddle shifters....it's like I'm getting a double shift with a delayed reaction if that makes sense. I'll upshift or downshift and a second or 2 later it shifts again by itself whichever direction I just made a shift. :boggled:

Only a temp solution but maybe using an automatic gearbox woud help you get a better time..

I hope you can fix it before the race...
