Damn Wiggs. Sorry to hear about your wheel. That really sucks. How about using your sequential shifter?

I may dig it out and try it but I'll probably be slower with it since I'd have to adjust to using it. Are the paddle shifters disabled when you use the sequential shifter? The stupid thing actually shifts up or down randomly on it's own so it might still do it with the sequential shifter but I'll try it later anyway.

Only a temp solution but maybe using an automatic gearbox woud help you get a better time..

I hope you can fix it before the race...

I think auto gearbox would slow me down too much and feel unnatural since I never use it. I don't want to race if I can't be competitive and give my all. I'm gonna call Fanatec support later and see what they tell me.

I haven't had a single problem with my GT2 after I stopped using the mic with it! 👍

Tried racing with a controller today probably the second time since FM2, and I was so surprised how much easier it was to control braking and accelerating. That is definitely my weak spot. Braking most of all, as Fezz has often witnessed. I need me some better gear!

Yeah this is really the first problem I've had other than 2 or 3 full lock glitches a few months ago. I did find some info about a couple of other guys having similar problems, but no fix......they had to call Fanatec support but I'm not sure what the end result was. CSP's are great....once you get used to them you'll never want to go back. You'll definitely put down faster lap times with CSP's once you adjust to them.

No.

The way you put it, it seemed as though it was only happening after shifting. That's why I thought maybe using the shifter would be a way around the problem. It will take some getting used to but to give you some hope I always drive with one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter when playing Forza since i'm using the H-Pattern. Only time I use paddles is when playing GT5 since their clutch support is absolutely terrible.

It's happening after I shift and also randomly at other times. I've gotten used to using the paddle shifters with the clutch, so anything else will take some getting used to....but I'll try to use the sequential shifter when I get on later....maybe it will work without the random ghost shifting.

I don't think the Porsche wheels have had a firmware update since I've had my wheel. I'm just gonna call support and see what happens.

You're one of the fastest guys here. Study some of the top leaderboard replays and I'm sure you'll figure it out. I'm gonna give it another go with my gimped wheel in a few...hopefully I can shave off a few seconds.

Has anyone noticed that in the "Top Scores" part of the leaderboards, your times shown as being done with the esprite not the 2 eleven but in "friends" its down as 2 11

Hmmm, didn't notice that. I ran a few more laps and was able to get into the 1:37's.....probably can get a 1:36 but I don't know if I'll have the time or patience to run again. How some of you are running in the 1:34's is beyond me. I'm right in the middle of Chris, Hennessey, Marmite, Carlos and Katpeeler...maybe we'll have a nice middle of the pack battle while the super fast guys leave us in the dust. The wheel is annoying but I think I can manage until I find a fix, as long as it doesn't get any worse....still haven't called support yet. I need to do that ASAP.

Ha, I'm not comfortable in the higher classes....but I can adapt. I've got some wins in S and R3 over some of the big dogs....not many, but a couple here and there. ...pretty confident I can at least run in the middle of the pack. See you guys on the track tomorrow....if I don't do well I can blame it on the wheel.
