Well, I took Fezz car out for a spin to see if I could get any better time...I looked ALL OVER for a "Go Baby Go" button but didn't find it...Didnt realy do any better so I took my car back out and got a little bit better time...My hat off to you Fezz.....its not your car, its the driver

I couldn't re-create the magical build/tune/lap-time that I pulled off last week. :( I have time to make one more run but it's not worth it...the best I'd probably do is move up one spot....one point ain't worth my sanity. Hats off to Forcone. Maybe I'll give you guys some competition next week. BTW, I tried Fezz's car and it's very good but I just couldn't put down a clean fast lap to save my life....not the car's fault but a lack of patience and skill on my part.

So are we going to have the grid reversed for tomorrows race?
I say we should do it as you faster guys will have no problem overtaking us slower guys (Of course the high risk of contact due to the narrow track may say otherwise) but if most of us are on board, let's give it a go.

I don't have a problem with it, mainly because the amount of laps that we run. If it was like 7 laps, then I don't think it would be fair. But since there's 20 laps, it gives the faster guys more time to work they way up to the front.

So I guees we need to run a pace lap and get everyone in the right spot??....If I remember right we had some issues with late joiners after the pace lap.....

We have a dilemma. If we do reverse grid we will have more competitive races but more chances of accidents...but if the fast guys start at the front, the middle of the pack and slower guys will just be going through the motions. Nobody will catch Forcone, Fezz, DC, SilentDrifter, or Hamster if they start up front. It doesn't matter how you guys wanna start, I'll support whatever the majority wants...but I think we should pick one and stick to it, just to be consistent.

Here's what we will do. Since this is the second race of the season and we know that we can run a 1 lap to get into grid order, we will continue to give the top qualifiers the beginning of the grid 1-16. While the 16-1 grid order would add more interesting races, I want to wait until a fresh season so everything is even from the get go. So next season we can arrange for this type of grid order, until then, we will run the grid in Descending order.

I thought about the reversed grid at work and realized that if we do it, I have to start deliberately losing qualifiers to Fezz and Deadly and others to gain more points in the race by keeping you guys behind me (since keeping others from passing you is much easier than overtaking...)!

So no pace lap, 1 lap race before race to get the right order, then full on race when the flag drops? I was a bit confused last time since I can't hear a thing you guys are saying without the headset :D

Oh no you didn't!:P

Question for the club? What do you guys prefer (keep Classes in mind too) shorter tracks with more laps or longer tracks and less laps? Which would offer a better club racing experience? Not that I would keep doing what is preferred for every race but I wanted to get an idea where the club stood.

@Forcone, what we will do is set the lobby up to place the grid based off of lobby points, so in order to get that grid situated in descending order (1-16) we will pace a 1 lapper, get into order based off of qualifying and finish in this order. This will in turn allow the grid order for the final race to be set up correctly (1-16).

So the 1 lap will finish in this order-
1- Forcone
2- Fezz ST
3- A Man Hamster
4- SilentDrifterGT
5- DeadlyDC
6- Teewiggs
7- zr1chris
8- FBI Specialist
9- KATPEELER
10- Yo Def
11- MarmiteEngineer
12-AVVSOM3

Your slower classes will be more fun on the smaller tracks BUT like was said before if we decide to do a reverse grid, the smaller tracks are almost imposible to overtake on so EVERYONE is plagued with not being able to pass unless there is a wreck.....Its a catch 22

I can't make it. :(

About the tracks. We should go with tracks like Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca, Sebring, and so on for the faster cars. I personally don't find these short tracks fun.

Sorry katpeeler for the crash, it was completely unintentional, but I though you'd eventually give room to a lapping player :(

Have to say racing on this track has a totally different feel, than just doing hot laps. The first half of the race, I was being really careful not to hit any walls, and was running slower lap times because of that. Came close a few times. I didn't know how much longer I could hold of Hamster, but after he lost it. It gave me much more breathing room, where I could focus more.

After thinking about this race. I realized I didn't use any reference points, on when to brake, turn in, apex, turn out. Just used my gut, for all of it.

I couldn't get around Katpeeler either....I spent most of the last 2 laps trying to lap him. :banghead: ....maybe he didn't know he was being lapped? Seems as if he was defending his position. Hamster gave me several chances to pass him when he kept crashing, but I couldn't get around him. I think DC rage quit after a wreck. :(

Its all good.......Wiggs your right. I looked at the replay and I seen where the faster guys was coming up. I dont have the track on my HUD but I do have the players and there order in the top left and it kept saying AVVSOME was behind me and I'm not just going to slow down so who I though was him to pass me. And Im not going to take the time to see what color car he has. These small tracks are very techincal and if you get out of rythem you will mess up....Also its my understand that you don't try to pass on tight corner (and this track was full of them)....Its a tough track no matter who is racing.

I had fun that race, definitely didn't have the kind of wrecks I thought we would. I had superb discipline when I got close to people but what ticked me of was me hitting the bridge.................twice!:banghead:

Anyway, KATPEELER, I never had the chance to see the bumper sticker until I watched the replay, you were too fast for me this round, LOL. Next time won't be so easy!

I have updated the leaderboards and will have the next car selection and track posted shortly. Pics to come!

It wasn't really a problem for me. It didn't cost me position and I don't think I would have passed Hamster anyway. AVVSOM3 and Jimbo let me by when I lapped them but I just couldn't get around you. Next time I won't mute my mic, so I can let those being lapped be aware of what's happening. 👍

Yes I rage quit, for the 1st time! :banghead: Anyone got the reply up, I had no chance to save. :irked:

I hope you didn't quit because I hit you. I was coming fast into a corner and you were right there, kinda sideways....I guess you had just wrecked? I couldn't avoid you. :( ....sorry. I can send you the replay next time I'm on.

The grey car looks like me.....It looks to me that I had the line there...I hope Im not the reason for you quiting the race. Forcone I went back and looked at when you were trying to pass me for about two laps. I should have went to the side but if you look me and the other guy was having a race for 7th.

Yes it is KAT. The thing about this incident is KATPEELER should have allowed DC to pass, but it seems there was no communication hence why KAT wouldn't have know it was someone who was lapping him. I know not everyone uses a mic so not sure how this could have been avoided otherwise. I will do my best to select tracks that are wider and allow easier overtaking.....................plus this track was an evil experiment on my part:sly:
