I think a flat 1:02 is possible, but an 01 is pushing it there aren't enough corners to make the aero work harder and there isn't enough power to gain time on the straights (on my setup anyway)

The first corner requires a VERY late apex, an early apex will run you deep and you'll have to stay off the power until the car straightens up which hurts you for the rest of the lap

I think I'll have to rebuild my car completely. I tried several different configurations yesterday and nothing seemed to suit my driving style. My setups are either slow or fast and super twitchy, you should've seen some of the tankslappers I encountered yesterday!

Might screw a bit of Downforce on the car and play with the ratios, the last corner catches me out most of the time but the car feels like it can go faster round there

I dont need to tell fast guys how to tune but I dont have any rear/front spoilers on it...have you tried messing with that...

No aero parts means a higher PI so you won't have as much on the car, you can add aero but turn the DF to the minimum if it suits you

I'm only half kidding when I say this, but we should have a ''Forcone Tune Race'' FTR for short where Forcone provides the tune and we can see how much of a beast he really is! Maybe I would feel I was racing vicariously through Forcone, LOL.

And we could have the Finnish version of Born in the USA playing on our radios in the cars....I'd pay some credits for that

For the last couple months I dont have the time anymore to mess with the tunes...Especialy since summer is around the corner

I tried that too, but only managed ~1:03's so I decided to stick with the ugly aero...

Edit: Saw Forcone get into the 1:02.1 when I signed off. I can see him breaking into the 01s.

You guys are putting up some fast times. I haven't made an official run yet, but the practice runs with my first build/tune haven't been that great....I'll probably have to scrap it and start from scratch to get close to you guys. *EDIT* Have any of you guys seen DeadlyDC on this week? He usually puts up a good time early on but I see he hasn't posted a time yet. I hope the incident in the last race isn't the reason for it....I haven't seen him on Forza at all this week, but i've only been on for a few minutes here and there since Sunday.

That first turn is riculously difficult without the aero!!

That's the only corner the aero is really needed, can run deeper on the power and earlier on the throttle, the rest of the lap is pretty flat out.

I'll be putting in another quali session tomorrow

I finally built a car that I'm relatively happy with and ran some 1:02's in practice but can't do better than 1:03.3 so far in qualifying. That first corner is killing me and to get my car to run fast around this course, I had to skimp a little on the handling, which is making the car a little more slippery than I like. 🤬 I'll try again later....1:02 is my goal and I won't stop until I get there.

Made a few adjustments and I just ran a 1:02.8...I think I can get low 1:02's if I keep going. We can a couple of races after I take a break.

No problem. I was all over the road in a few spots....I'm not great driving stock or R2 cars.
