Added wiggs and Carlos earlier. I must apologise for the crashes I caused wiggs, I had my 2 young children diving all over me, so I couldn't concentrate hence why I just left the races lol That's not what you can expect from me in the season races.

So, I'm pretty new to all this. What car is being used for Saturdays race?

I'll be back on in a few minutes. Do you guys wanna run a few practice laps in the car/track combo for this week's race? I'm not racing but maybe it can help you guys in tomorrow's race.

I'll be on Forza in an hour and a half. 7PM UK time. Any advice on the course we're racing at? or some stock tuning set ups?

Been trying a few a laps this afternoon. I find the 1st corner a bit of a struggle at the moment, I either get round or fly off the track. The rest of the track I can get round pretty much flat out. Been averaging just under 1:04 so far.

What I usually do is follow the ghost and study the replay of the fastest driver on the course. This way you can find the optimal lines and braking zones....or just follow Forcone and try to keep close enough behind him to follow his lines and braking zones. :P

Ive tried with some aero but cant get any faster with or without it....tired of messing with it....Its a little more stable with a spoiler on it....That first corner for me has very little forgivness...If I dont hit it just right Im outta there:banghead:
 
Aw gosh durnit! I didnt know Yo Def changed the ending qualifying time to 10 pm from 12.:grumpy:

That first corner really makes or breaks your lap, so I think you need some downforce to get through it without losing too much time. BTW, Hamster just put up a 1:04 and logged off....he was only on for a few minutes so he may make another run. I'll probably give it one more shot....I'm at 1:02.7 but I'm leaving at least half a second on the track due to tiny mistakes.
 
Hmmm the car stock is pretty good too. I only did tires, stage 2 lowering, lsd and drivetrain. Didn't change anything.. You only need aero in the first corner so I didn't put it on. Brake your way into the corner and that's all :d

(and I suck in tuning so I got a bit lucky :lol: ) If you don't mind Wiggs I'd like to try yout car when quali is over.

No problem Carlos. I didn't upgrade the tires on my car so it's a bit looser than I like...but I tried a few different builds and this one has been the fastest for me. I'll gift you the tune or put the car in the club garage later...I'm sure you can put up a faster time than me in my own car. :P I wish I had more time to put into qualifying this week...I think I could have made a run at the top guys if I put in some more laps.
 
Getting some tips listening to the big dogs....I wont have time to put anymore qualifiying times up but I might get up a little early in the morning to do some more tuning....Any more tips you would like to endulge????

Uhm, don't hit the breakes too hard into the first corner, try to keep the momentum. Slowly brake into the apex and when you can see the exit point, hit it :D
 
Have a good race tomorrow guys...and somebody please beat Forcone! :P .....or at least make him work for it! Jimbo, don't forget to update the qualifying results.
 
Wont be me........Can I make a request and race some old muscle cars before we get to high up in the classes???

We might already be to high now....Just a thought
 
@Carlos, I sent you something....my car is in the club garage if anyone wants to try it. It's not the best but it works for me.
 
I have to work on my setup still as I think I can go faster so I'll be on for a while before the race fiddling with my car
 
God damn!! That's what I call a race! :D Stupid Fanatec shifter cost me my 1st! Tried 6->3 downshift in the first corner to scrub off speed and get the tail out just a tiny bit but went to fifth instead, onto the grass we went!! But that sure was an adrenaline rush, proper fight! Thanks Fezz! :lol:

👍 I was nice to see you having a battle. Sure makes the race much more interesting when you aren't alone majority of the time. :D

By the way, I miss our post-race "montage" that Chris used to provide us with! Someone should do that again, lots of respect to be gained there!! :bowdown:
 
Woooow what a race. Battle for third was on all the time!! Had a nice battle with Hamsterman, Silent and Hennessy! Got a bit dirty with Hennessy, some bumps here and there but no problem :D
 
Points are updated. I am going to be a little late with posting the car selection and track, hold tight.
 
No worries Forcone.....Im realy not a asshole..=)......BTW I uploaded some DLC cars from the Top Gear pack into the garage. I put a little tune on them..But dont know if you have to have the pack before you can drive them in the garage....If yall are unable to get them let me know and Ill yank them out to save space
 
Crap. I missed the race. I must have slept in or something. What's the official starting time again?
