the car model aren't as good as I was expected. I'm kinda dissapointed on that

*edit*

yes CobraGt, you can come and flame me. I have to admit, Forza car model aren't right. But of course, like you said, gameplay is the most important right ?

Haha finally some real screenshots... now we can clearly see it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the doctored rubbish that everyone previously posted :P

Well lets be honest, you had to be a fool to think those other shots were in game. It's the same with GT4 too, when you actually play it, looks NOTHING like 90% of the old shots. Still those shots are obviously taken off a TV, so the image quality is alot lower, I can tell ya that the demo deffo looks better then those.

I did the same with GT4 but it wasn't good enough, it was my capture board who wan't good enough but Forza it's ok...you can go back to fanboy land. The game looks fine.

The car list was nice but note the Mitsu Eclipse isn't a GTS. There was never a GTS made. It is a GS-T a front wheeldrive turbocharged 4G63 engine.
Just a add. 👍

Those caps make forza look like pgr2 and toca2 mixed together. Capturing 30fps games should have good results but I dont see good results. gamspot does bad capturing, look at the gt4 caps >__<

The GT4 caps are all of photmode thats why they look so good, these are caps of Forza ingame so they don't look as good. Besides myself and others can confirm Forza does look clearer and sharper than thoes shots.

I'm sure it does. It would be extremely sad if they it didn't look better then these low quality captures.

Yep, although if the gameplay lives up to expectations I wouldn't be as bothered, the damage model seems pretty good though which personally I'm happy about I know thers one or two people here who say damage is a bad thing, they'd better be willing to say that when GT5 comes out eh.
At the end of the day, it's each to his own, I certainly won't knock people for liking a game I don't like, and I expect others to be the same. Unfortunatel thats not the case most of the time.

As a total devotee to the GT series to this point, i've just read the car list for Forza... theres an XBox in my future. Why could'nt gt4 have that car list? damn...

True true.

I really think that damage has too many variables to accurately recreate the effects of it on a console level. I don't care what game it is. I know GT5 will be out on the PS3, but there has to be thousands of things that can go into how damage can effect the cars performance. So which ones do you include and which do you leave out? Exactly what kind of collisions start to actually physically damage the engine? And so on.

Don't lable me as a Forza hater cause I'm not. I just really don't think that damage and sims should go together. At least not on this level.

1. In 1998 so about 6 years go.

2. In what respect?

3. You did imply that no other team could ever have a budget or enough experience to create a better game than the latest GT. The competition is not just playing catch up, they are already pushing beyond.

Gek I'm only implying that in 6 years no one has made a better game than those in the GT series, not most realistic, or best graphics, or most realistic physics etc but best game overall, that's not me being a GT fanboy it's a fact because tens of millions of others too who have invested in the series prove this.

I'm not saying GT4 cannot be beaten before we see the next instalment but considering the money and experience the PD Team has accumulated for any game to come close is going to have to be pretty special. I doubt the Budget for Enthusia or Forza combined get's close to GT4 and money is a big factor in any game as it dictates just how much you can do.

You mention other games pushing beyond GT4 already? in what respect and what games as neither of the two you mentioned are out yet?

I'm not being funny and I'm not into slating non GT games so don't get me wrong, I hope they do turn out to be great and if they are I'll certainly buy them :)

RSC2 pretty much wizzed on GT3.
RSC2 wizzed on it, and then wiped the floor with it, and then wizzed on it some more!

J/k, but RSC2 looked way, way better than GT3. GT4 shots most people have been seeing are Photomode, so they obviously make GT4 the best looking ever. 👎

GT4, for it's hardware, is amazing. Photomode does very little except render a few extra poly's, i.e. rims etc. Backdrops do not change, as you see them rendered in the window already. Photomode just adds a few things, but it's all done in engine with very little extra...it is a very good looking game aside from photomode.

I just don't see how you can discredit something that was taken from a reply or different mode that still uses in engine visuals as being supremely better?

I don't know, racing games are racing games.

Hype is hype. All of these games have hype, and few of them will ever deliver (including GT4.)

I certainly dont, I disagree with you on some levels but I respect your opinion for not slagging and especially for giving reasons why your not as keen instead of "Forza suxx ass period" like far too many members attitudes here.

they can make the judgement of gt4 looking the best by looking at vids

ROFLMAO, your serious?

Ruf why bother making a post that has got less text in it than your signature , if you can't be bothered contributing to a discussion then don't bother with useless spam.

Then I will.

Microsoft has probably just as much money as Sony and PD, making both Forza and GT4 budgets probably equal, with Mircosoft probably having a bit more.
Konami has a great deal of money too.

Neither of us have financial breakdowns to confirm one way or another  so it's bit pontless us having a seperate discussion about budgets. I think it's a case of wait and see if Forza can come up with the goods as afterall GT4 doesn't need to sell itself, the new contenders do.

Utterly. Gt3 was a POS rush job. RSC2 you can actually tell had some care and attention put in to it. It also played like a GEM, loads of great cars, brilliant tracks, stunning graphics and a slew of fun online/multiplayer stuff. The cars also had kick ass engine sounds, they ROAR. Has features like weather conditions, damage, and night time driving with real time headlights(scary rallying in the pitch black over stupid roads, with only your headlight arc to guide you XD). Oh and above all it's FUN. Is this where some n00b says "ewww get to the RSC2 forum" or something equally pathetic because I don't JUST like the GT series? Gt4 seems to be what GT3 SHOULD have been though, which is good.

You are the one who stated that the people making and helping Enthusia and Forza with their cash together didn't have as much as GT4.
NO, they don't have as much. They have double.

I seen the list, but why would you want that list when you cand get lost in the gt4 list with over 704 cars, I know that some cars you wont use or even bother keeping after winning a race, but at least you wont be bored :sly:
