It's not an "excuse". How can you create an excuse for something that it was ment to be in the first place?
GT has always been about driving cars. About being able to present that sensation to the player. KY prides the game on this.
Forza CLEARLY is MORE focused on motorsport. And that's awesome, because I like that.
But the fact still remains, that GT is a game that's initial intent is to be a driving game. Regardless of AI, that has nothing to do with the "arguement". It's all in the statements of the development team, repeatedly, they have said, and it's easy to see, that this game is about driving cars, and recreating the experience.
Forza, is about simulation, and motorsport.
Code, don't flatter the Forza team btw, because it is NOT that far ahead of GT in terms of AI....even with Drivatar....

What do you do in Forza that you dont do in GT that makes Forza more competition based? GT has a winning percentage rank....what does that have to do with driving? Uh oh, that must mean GT could be competition based.
If the developers said Forza was developed so the player could experience driving all the cars and then we just added racing for filler, then what would you say?

Well that's just my opinion. The whole structure of the game does seem to based upon winning races, and upgrading your car with the cash won. I'm sure that trying out new cars etc is part of the game too, half the fun is getting a new car and seeing how it drives etc, but this can be said of most racing games.

Forza sucks. Just my $0.02, but look at this screen from a game I bought in 2001 and am running on my GeForce4 MX, which actually looks better than Forza in my honest opinion.

Stinky, i think we pretty much proved with out a shadow of a doubt in the last thread, that your whole argument was crap.
p.s your 2001 game looking better is pure BS. Such a game does not actually exist. O owned many a racing game back in 2001, and while some were pretty...none looked as nice as forza. Care to mention what game your showing then?

yeah, I have a hard time believing that a game that old other than GT3 looks comparable.
and comparing PC games to console games graphically is kind of pointless.

I came over her becasue tha-con was offering some decent information on Forza, well it is just NOT worth it. This has got to be one of the most annoying threads around. (That is saying a lot, putting you all right up there with the teamxbox lot of whiners.) 👎
Anyway, if you ever get around to posting more info on Forza, tha_con please share it at forzacentral as I will not be visiting this thread again.

It always amazes me how when people are annoyed or upset at what's happening with a thread. The post a reply about it and then say they're not coming back. Why not just leave and say nothing about it? What's the point in saying "You guys are acting dumb so I'm leaving. HA!" Just spilt. You don't like the conversation, that's cool. Hey Tha_con, why don't you request a thread for your preview of Forza, just copy all the info so far into it and then edit your first post as and when you add new info. I think that would be better, it's worth a go anyway.

Its just like if someone here wanted to call XBOX and PS2 multimedia machines that are not focused on gaming just becuase Nintendo says they are focused on gaming to excuse the fact they their hardware cant play DVD movies.

I definately will, it just sucks that they pick NOW to inventory everything...bleh. I hate it. Esp. since I had to send in my Debug PS2...blah! Since then I've been using stinky first gen PS2 from JPN...which tends to freeze up after long races. So far I've lost out on FOUR cars, TWO have been endurance races (24H...)
It sucks. It even froze while I was playing Naruto *cries* life stinkerz....
