Toca is a great game. Yes, it is underrated.

You guys haven't found it very floaty and "not connected" in the physics department?

Track mapping is aweful IMO - The Bathurst track was all wrong, I could have done it better from memory!

Pro Race Driver was a b*tch. The Nascar racing sucked. I gave up after it.
Probably called Toca Race Driver in your area.

yeah, there's that too. but it was a fun game, and the physics did get it right sometimes.

I agree - TOCA was well underrated.

However, I thought it was too easy!!!! I sailed through first 50% so easily that I restarted and stopped using "save" points and played through championships and only progressed if I completed it rather than "cheating" by using the save points.

I'm currently at 82% after just a weekend's play after starting again!

I enjoyed the Formula Fords the most, they had a great feel and it's a shame that there are only four tracks to run them on.

toca 2 was hard, i stuck with it and it payed off eventually, the hardest bit for me was beating stellan in the one on one in the masters GP car on A1-ring,

I found that one hard too, and the noise those things made!! Wanted to throw the telly out the window after about 5 laps

I'm impressed with the technology Forza is going to show in the game but the cars still don't look as real and yes even it has much higher resolution textures than GT4..The environment still seems a bit cartoony....

Still i wanna try it out... because it has Carrera GT ...

I've played the Enthusia demo today and I totally agree with you, it's not very convincing. The LeMans cars on that oval are really bad. What's that stupid special effect for? The handling of the normal cars seems reasonable. Anyway I am more excited about Forza. I have played that demo a lot and I find it more difficult than GT4 but also more realistic and more challenging to control the cars. I think both GT4 and Forza will be great games with different strong and weak points. Enthusia looks more like a "wanna be GT".

Enthusia is $39.99 US. But the demo wasnt empressive. I'll get it to justify my DFP even more. I may get Forza if i see how deep the visual tuning is.

This is the Forza thread but since its been hyjacked by Enthusia I should mention I have Enthusia and played it a few times and its a great game. Well worth the $39.00 The physics are better than GT4 in a lot of ways. I need to mention it is the JPN version. I have been extremely happy with Enthusia so far. I will get that in the English version when it comes out and I will buy Forza for the X-box at the same time.
I personally hated the Forza demo disk but I know the final game will be incredible. 👍

I'm a subscriber to many some game magazines, and I have a review of Forza in it. The magazine exists for over 12 years or so, it is the oldest german multiconsole magazine;

SCORE : overall : 82 / 100
grafics : 77 / 100
sound : 67 / 100

+ good and quite realistic gameplay
+ Xbox Live
+ Tuning and damage

- gameplay not as realistic as GT4/ Enthusiam, cars drift too easily and when they drift, you can get them too easy back again
- grafics ( too colorful, some pop ups, only 25 fps,...)
- not enough tracks
- drivatar ( you can't influence it in the race and he makes too many faults)

conclusion : Realsitic racing game with great ideas, but these ideas don't work perfect yet....

Btw. enthusia got 83/100 and Gran Turismo 4 : 94 / 100

I'm not buying, the sounds are nowhere near that bad, in fact they are as good if not better then pgr2 (best engine sounds ever). With dolby5.1 on top of that ha! We shall see.
