Not really monsters, but my 04.5 Dodge Ram (before it was stolen)

It might start off a bit slow for some of you but the wheelin' gets pretty good as the video progresses.

America!

This thing gets it!

Incredibly disappointed with the Landcruiser:Everything Else ratio of this thread.

Dear god. That semi truck in the air. I need moar of it!

Rimini Red is such a great colour. Defenders, yay. Better than Fords, too...

Except NOBODY has one, they're way overpriced. A stock '60s/'70s $800 Bronco could do the same if not more than one of those things could. If not a, cut the fenders and put bigger tires on it and I'm sure it could then.

80s and 90s included because they are all virtually the same. Not to mention how many different v8s the factory offered on top of the world of aftermarket support for them. Hell I could buy a brand new reproduction chassis and build one frame up if I wanted to.

True, not really a fan of the '90s styling, but the early '80s where okay. I'd totally buy one of the oldschool Broncos.

I'm not either but the cabs and everything underneath for the most part was unchanged from 1980-1996. That's why you can take an '84 body and put it on a '92 frame. It's a pretty well known fact in the truck world.

Yup, that's the nice thing about them, interchangeable. :sly:

Err... what? It was a joke aimed at Slash, as he quite rightly picked up on, but trust you to react like that.

Nobody has one... except for many, many people who live in the U.K (places outside of the U.S/Canada do exist, believe it or not), where you can pick up a Defender for under £1,000. The Defender is our equivalent to your Ford/Chevy truck, if you hadn't realised.

As far as ability goes, some 4x4s will excel in certain areas and conditions, some in others, but overall they aren't too far apart, and once you get onto the subject of modifying them, the differences become even smaller.

You should see them over here. 20 grand plus. Want one so bad, but the cost is horrendous.

$20,000 is pretty cheap for one. Check out this one I found the other day:

1995 Land Rover Defender - $129,995

Most of the ones I come across though are around $35,000, which is nuts. I really want one too but I couldn't in good faith pay more for a 20 year old SUV than a brand new, decently loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Yes I've seen those. How and why they're such prices I won't understand. And 20 grand is expensive to my young eyes, especially for something that can be a decade or more old, and is a truck of sorts.

I find it crazy that even my old girl would sell for tens of thousands of dollars, yet over here the only place that she'll be heading once I'm done with her is either the scrapheap, or to be sold off as parts if I can be bothered to break her.

I can agree with this. 👍

Can I have her? :P
