Finally got the energy to paint my so called rig. It's been "wood-coloured" for a few months now... Now it's all-black to attract as little interest as possible since it is very ugly.

I also just printed out a price list for a huge number of different types of aluminium profile, as I'm interested in building a new one out of it. Would make it much lighter and nicer. :) I'd still have to sit on the sofa because of lack of space, but it would be easy to add a seat to it once I got enough room for that. Haven't planned it properly yet, but full adjustability is a must-have!

I think it isn't THAT hard to recreate a 'Playseat'.. I had one and if you're a bit handy, I guess it's possible to make it better. But can't you buy one second hand? Those things go for around €300,- here..

Saw this today..
A Dutchman (Eric Heerema) sold his 1962 250 GTO to an American (Craig McCaw) for 35!! milion USD. (Or €28,4 milion) He bought it in 2000 for $8,5 milion from Yoshiho Matsuda. Not bad not bad. I wouldn't mind making $26,5 milions for just owning it

The car was made for Stirling Moss altough he never drove it. He crashed some weeks before the livery and stopped with his career. Innes Ireland got the car instead and did the 1962 24h of Le Mans, but did not finish.

Heerema even drove the thing!

Sick

Ps, is this the FPM chat room now or..? Theres no general offtopic thread elsewhere..

Nah, I like building and fixing stuff...! And I don't like paying others for something I can do myself :D As with the previous timing belt replacing which I shared with you. It actually went quite well for my first time! 👍

Christ I'm getting carried away with the whole Forza Horizon thing the more I think about it! Damn it will be nice if it's anything they let us understand it will be :D

Forza Horizon is going to ruin my social life

If you have 2 hours, you need to watch this:
'Turbo, once round the block'

Question for you guys. I only have a 20GB hard drive. I don't have enough room for Forza Horizon (which I plan on getting). I want to upgrade to a 120GB hard drive. How difficult is it to transfer all my save data and profile info from my 20GB to a new 120GB?

Cable? What cable? Sorry this is all new to me.

Its called a "transfer cable" that Microsoft USED to give for free if you upgraded Hard Drives. Now I think they charge 20-30 bucks for it. I got one if you need it. I can mail it to you and you just mail it back. Your out of $3 for shipping..let me know if your interested...

Microsoft sells a transfer cable (you can get these from most major retailers) and you connect the cable from your xbox console w/ old HDD connected as usual and then connect the other end of the cable to the new HDD.

This video will give you an idea, fstforward to about 2:00 to see the actual transfer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atYkJ7CbrGg

*If there is a different way to do this, I am not aware, this is how I did it a while back!

There ya go, good looking out KAT. Now you used to need a disc, does anybody know if this is stil lthe case for pre 2009 consoles or is everything updated regardless of console version? *I assume your console is that old Chris?

Always like to stick it to the man.....The disc comes with it...Its a disk/cable combo..real simple.....takes a hour or so to transfer thou

Make sure it´s the original Microsoft cable, Chris! I once bought one off of eBay and it was a fake one (no logo on the flat piece) that didn´t work because it was not recognized by my Xbox.

I like Race Pro, I actually put it on the other week and played it for a few days, they physics are outstanding! but it does take time getting used to

Funny, tried GT5 after a loooooooooong break yesterday and didn't actually hate it! It actually felt somehow really good. :D I always loved drifting in it, the smoke is sooo sweet  Have to say, I don't like my Fanatec GT2 in GT5, I guess it would take some fiddling with the on-board tuning to make it behave better. The old G25 on the other hand shone in drifting, have to try that tonight! The light rim of it makes it so fun to throw the car around corners :)

AND I noticed I can finally change the rims on my beloved drifting monster, R129 SL500 Merc!! 👍

On my Fanatec I run with drift mode on 2 and dead zone on 10 for GT5 and it works pretty good honestly.

Me neither but after reading this I popped it in to give it a go and I was quickly reminded why I can't stand the PS3........................Update....Update......Update......Install....Install.....and after about 45 minutes I finally get to play.

What is your PSN Forcone? I might join your GT session in a while when I get my wheel..

I think it is Forcone-FIN. Yeah we should have a few GT races too since I now have the G25 mounted on my "rig"...! I really love the feel of this wheel. I remembered it was far far worse. The FFB is super responsive and powerful! Superb for drifting! Also driving around my most hated track London in my BMW 1-series diesel on slicks was hard on my wrists, you really feel the grip!
