Are you behind a firewall and router? If so set up a DMZ host. I had a lot of problems with this game behind a firewall until I DMZ'ed my XBOX. If you need instructions just let me know.

Only on about half of the A class leader boards. The game had only been out for a week. Once people start figuring out the dominant cars then it will wind up just like FM3.

For example:

If you do not see dominance here then get your eyes checked lol.

A one second gap that no other car can touch per lap turns out to be a pretty large gap a few laps in. If you are honestly not going to restrict the cars then I for one will be showing up with the fastest car on every respective track.

Most routers have a built in firewall. So, you are most likely behind one. See your router settings menu. If you are you will benefit from a DMZ; especially if you are wireless.

I see your point. I must have looked at one of the few tracks that doesn't have that problem. If you look back just a little further on some of those leaderboards there is still a good mix of cars. I guess we will have to see how it goes. That's why these first couple weeks is more of a test to see how the championship format will work.

I may end up just making everyone use the same car for a given class once we kick things off if things get out of hand with leaderboard cars. If there is a problem with leaderboard cars I don't think the solution will be knocking out the fastest car because then the 2nd fastest car will end up being the fastest then if I knock that one out then it will be the 3rd and so on.

That's why I think if there is a problem giving everyone 1 specific car that they are allowed to tune for a particular class then that will eliminate the problem completely. What do you think about this idea?

My bad. I rotated them in photobucket but for whatever reason it takes awhile to update.

All that needs to be done is to eliminate the cars that have a huge advantage on a particular track; just look at the leaderboards decide where the most balance is, and eliminate all cars above this point. A one make no-upgrade / tune race is the easiest way to balance a race.

SatansReverence, you are fast as hell. I am not going to lie, but I have tried multiple NSX's setups and still can't get anywhere near you. Managed to do 2.26:9 tho, currently 19th(?) overall. Love rivals mode!

I'm using the skills I got in the FM3 demo getting top 100 times with teh 458 and M5

It's better to go around the outside in most circumstances.

I could probably get a 2.25 something because I got held up by 3 wide A.I for a bit on the back strait.

A specific car tuned and upgraded would be fine. There are also several cars in the R3, R2 class that have similar or identical PI stats as well which could be used in future competitions. Such as the Supercar V8's. But, I would have to disagree and say that the competition is more important than Kodak moments and the sound of a turbo or exhaust. It is always a possibility to run a race just for the replay value with everyone in their favorite car and livery.

Things like weight, power, body style and drive train layouts.

A specific car tuned and upgraded would be fine. There are also several cars in the R3, R2 class that have similar or identical PI stats as well which could be used in future competitions. Such as the Supercar V8's. But, I would have to disagree and say that the competition is more important than Kodak moments and the sound of a turbo or exhaust. It is always a possibility to run a race just for the replay value with everyone in their favorite car and livery.

I wasn't trying to imply that photos, videos, and good sounding cars are more important than competition. I totally agree that competition is more important but if we can find a way to do all of the above without compromise then why not. I think my idea will accomplish all of the above without compromise to the competition. 16 A600 05 M3's should be down to who is the better driver. Tuning might get a slight advantage but the tuner still has to be a great driver. We'll give the idea a trial run next week and see how it goes.

It's a glitch. They said they were aware of it and would be looking for a fix ( see this weeks "Week in Review").

It looks good man. It really brings together my livery. I will definitely be taking advantage of this on a lot of cars. I did change the yellow to silver / gray though to see how that would look in the sun.

Just got my CSR Wheel, and Clubsport Pedals. Makes the game a lot of fun, even though I'm not used to it yet. I was using it during the online races, that I've raced with you guys tonight, so it's probably why I sucked for the most part.

I'll probably run Saturdays race with the controller, until I can get my wheel hard mounted. The clamps on it suck. My DFGT clamps are a lot better than those. My wheel kept sliding off my stand while I was racing with you guys. So probably tomorrow, after our club race, I'll try and get it mounted properly.
