Hey, I'm working on the Forza Planet logo replica right now, here's what I have so far (90% done or so)

I still have to fix a few tiny issues like the R needs to bit a tiny bit wider, the bottom of the P bar needs to be a tiny bit lower but yeah... I'm on the right track!

I think there was a lot of luck involved, the traffic was in just the right spot on almost every turn, they barely held me up. I didn't really expect the Solstice to be fast enough. Making a livery for it right now.

Definitely try it with it off, as I think it is a pretty poor representation of how ABS works. Just seems to be weaker brakes. I can brake way later with it off.

Traction control on the other hand does seem to help get the power down quicker in the more powerful cars. I've seen some of the events where the top times are using it.

Threshold braking seems to matter more in this game than it did in Gran Turismo. If a driver is consistent at performing it, their lap times may improve vs. using ABS. Consistency is key though, or any performance benefits gained by having it off will mean less overall. ABS turned on makes braking a bit slower, but allows for more consistent braking, which makes it better for some.

Something similar can be said for traction control. If you feel your control over throttle is better suited than the computer's when driving a certain car, turning traction control off may allow you to lap faster. On certain tracks while driving certain high powered cars, traction control can help you to avoid excessive wheel spin when trying to push hard out of slow corners. Hence why you would see top lap times for certain events using it.

I am holding down the top spot. I am hitting 2.27.xxx now, but every time I get bumped right after the kink.

Seems like I do. Anytime I give rival events a go, I'm only putting in 2 or 3 laps tops to set whatever times I set, so that makes it all the more harder for me especially for these track day events. I just don't have the time or patience at the moment to sit there for 20+ straight laps on one track unless it's for an actual full blown race, or qualifying for an actual full blown race like I did recently for a F1 2011 race I took part in.

I did a bit of rival racing this morning but I wont be able to compete if I qualify this weekend. It is our anniversary and we will be out of town.

Road America is fun but the AI make it hard to get a good line sometimes.

I can only stand short bursts in the track day modes. It doesn't take long for the A.I to start getting frustrating rather than fun.

Agreed. And with laps as long as Road America, I get frustrated when a lap is invalidated. The H1 is a horrible inclusion for that event because it forces the other AI cars to pass it. Three wide in a braking zone when you're going 3x as fast is a bad deal.

One strange thing I noticed however is that we are not listed under club ranking for that specific event. Does anyone know why that is? What is the criteria for club ranking?

We are ranked 145/16,741 in "track days" but we are not listed for "Road Trip America".

One strange thing I noticed however is that we are not listed under club ranking for that specific event. Does anyone know why that is? What is the criteria for club ranking?

We are ranked 145/16,741 in "track days" but we are not listed for "Road Trip America".

Last night when I checked to see where I stood, we were as a club ranked 33rd for Road America specifically, now the leaderboard won't even filter by clubs anymore. It's possible turn 10 is working on a glitch or something because only "Near me" and "Top Scores" come up as of this morning.

But in the meantime I'm bouncing around to different tracks to get my cumulative time down.

No locked vinyls, designs, or tunes. It follows the same rules as the auction house. Everything must be original. Which I don't mind. I like seeing what people in the club can come up with themselves.

Are you behind a firewall and router? If so set up a DMZ host. I had a lot of problems with this game behind a firewall until I DMZ'ed my XBOX. If you need instructions just let me know.
