Is it bad that I haven't played this since last Wednesday? I made up for it by autocrossing all weekend and taking 2nd place twice though. :D

Me and you are both Autocross junkie's. I just love that stuff. Incredibly fun to weave in and out of corners so tight you can barely fit your car through.

I'm going to head onto FM4 and lay some times down for the Track Day. Always like to race with clean drivers, and I've been working on an S-Class weapon for our weekend races.
 
I always made number plates similar to that but with the class and PI (in the same style as its shown in the game) in one top corner.

I should clarify that was real-life autox. :lol:

ANNOUNCEMENT:

I am happy to announce the plan for weekly (2pm est) Saturday club racing. Every Tuesday I will announce a specific Rivals event which includes traffic to be used for qualifying. This qualifying event will start immediately upon announcement and will end on Fridays at midnight est. This method of qualifying rewards clean and fast drivers. The top 12 in the event will be invited to race, the remaining 4 spots will go to whoever gets in first when I send the full club invite however club leaders are entitled to the 4 provisional spots first. This method of qualifying will both help the club's ranking, give us a method of qualifying, and give us cleaner racing on Saturdays.


We are going to start with just 1 room since I was never able to completely fill a room this past weekend. The most we had was 12 and that only lasted a couple races. 7-8 seemed to be the average. In the future we may open this up to 2 rooms each hosted by a club leader (which would double the numbers above) if we have allot of participants and requests over the next couple weeks for it.


Races on other days and times will still be done at random for those that are not clean or quick enough to get in Saturdays events. I will probably have another round of racing for all club racers at around 6 or 7pm est.



This Weeks Qualifying

Rivals Mode > Track Days > Road America

Restrictions are: Car class A ; Country USA (I have noticed that people have been able to use Acura and Lexus so whatever is allowed to enter will be fine.)

Good idea Soldier but I think I will wait for the points system and championship standings to take effect. This is just a trial run for the next few weeks to see how much interest it gets first.
 
That Track Day choice is a tough one, there is one corner that is a traffic jam, pure insanity....LOL.

It really makes you utilize different driving lines too since a car is most likely in your way.

Can't wait to see the leaderboards in a few days.
 
Not to excited about the un-certifying of the laps here. I passed the finished line on my next lap, hadn't even got to turn 1 and my lap was already disqualified, though I never touch anyone, never go off the track. The only thing is I imagine I must be hitting a draft? If so, I don't know how ZR1Chris got a clean lap in the NSX, he was following just as close behind cars as I was (based on when I saw him brake and how he went around the cars).

What am I doing wrong here?

If you hit anything or go 4 off during the last sector of the previous lap your next lap will be invalid.

I have been taking most corners on the outside to give the AI the inside so I can keep my speed up and have clear track.

You really can't tell how close I am to cars since the traffic is not exactly the same every time especially after the first lap into a session. I have been really close a couple times and even slip a pair once or twice but I always try and take the open line and not necessarily the faster line. When racing against traffic sometimes the open line is the faster line no matter what.

That was the problem then, thank you. I started over and got a clean lap finally, but still behind you. I will spend more time this week working on it.

Yeah, that is odd. I see that on my screen here as well in the Rivals leader-boards on the Xbox. I wonder what is going on? I guess I will check my Xbox date.

Edit: Xbox date shows the proper time and date, as well as proper timezone. Odd.

Still haven't had a chance to race online with the club, but managed to do few rivals. All I can is... I love the game :)

A question...are cars like the Cossies alowed to race? They're from an American car company but they were only sold in Europe. If not I'll get my Boss Stang to get it done:sly:

Now I have to catch this dude in his stupid fast Panoz. Straight away speed, but he his sideways on every corner....

Ridiculous how many 2.28.xxx I have put up only to be invalidated by a touch of some 🤬 wipe or a tiny bit of grass. I see some guys ghosts getting their car halfway onto the grass; but, if I put one tire on the grass I get invalidated.

My vote next week for quals. is either rival hot lap or auto-cross. That will gauge the real skill. Not this bull 🤬 whoever gets the luckiest with the spacing of the traffic.

Ya let's everyone double up or go triple wide to pass the H1 at 15 mph!

Hahaha. It seemed like every time I had great momentum and was in position to slaughter the ghost's lap time, traffic would start to spread out and take up all the lane space on the track. Inconsiderate bastards lol.

Well, you have your work cut out for you. You are about 10 seconds off of me.

I am holding down the top spot. I am hitting 2.27.xxx now, but every time I get bumped right after the kink.

peteeM is right on me. We have four people in the top 50 and I have managed to break top 25. Good job guys.
 
I really cant wait to get mt wheel, wether I end up with a GT2 or CSR I know my times will start improving.

Still a bit shocked I could break the top 1000 with a pad.
 
Finally... I just received my game (normal edition while waiting for my LCE which seems to be out of stock) and I'll be awaiting chris then for my invite :P

I agree, it's very random and can be very frustrating :banghead:.
I also suggest normal hot laps for next weeks qualifying.
 
I should be able to get in a few laps tomorrow evening and Friday morning. I haven't had any time to play since Sunday morning.

I feel you man. I had my first 20 laps last night go invalid for one reason or another. I even had one lap that I was on pace for at least a low 29 and a Hummer and some other car decided to go side by side in the last corner. :mad:

This can be very frustrating. It will separate the clean drivers though. We will give some other events a try in the coming weeks though such as autocross and regular hotlapping.
