FP Motorsports

A quick note from me. Usually from 6:00pm BST I aim to get a lobby up for FPM members to join. Clean racing is encouraged in my rooms, but the odd bump doesn't matter.

I Added some cars that the club can use in the drifting events. I managed to get ok scores with them, I also plan to make a drag car and share it so the club can climb the ranks a bit but just have to find time.

To help make our garage even stronger in the lower classes, I just put up a 1969 Fairlady Z. I upgraded and tuned it having the idea of dominating the E class specifically in mind. After a couple of test runs, I feel it has that type of potential. The handling is nicely balanced to accommodate both circuit racing and drifting. It is also quite fast off the starting line. FTWC, my intentions with the livery job was to go for an old school-esque type of look.

This tuning setup and more will be available for purchase on my storefront shortly, hopefully by sometime next week.

I would like to dedicate the work I put into this car to be in memory of Dan Wheldon. May he rest in peace.

I wish there was a way for us to designate what our shared clubs cars were tuned for. I swear I tried to drive a a FWD car last night that was made purely for driving insanely fast head on into walls.

I'm a poor enough driver as it is (ask the members from last night's three races), so it would be cool if there was a way to designate drift, drag, and circuit cars.

That would be a really nice feature Vital, I raced with a few of the members last night and thought I did pretty decent, although I did take a guy out in one of the corners on Road America (sorry bout that). That track has always been fun but I have never been able to master my breaking points, particularly with the faster cars.

Hey everyone, I'm a GT veteran who got an X360 just to play this game. I haven't picked out an XBox live username, but it will most likely be FP_T13R if it's not taken. So if there is still room, I would like to be a part of the Forza Planet team :)

Nice to see you in here Jerome, I think I even saw IDAFC21 at some point in the thread... that's going way back.

Edit: Jerome, are you using a DFGT hybrid for FM4? Does a DFGT even work with it?

Hey buddy! Sorry, was busy all weekend and didn't see your post earlier. I'm sure we will enjoy the rivals mode  Just like old times.....

Wow, defintely some legends still kickin' around thats for sure 👍

I have my DFGT still, but it's not in my cockpit anymore since it's not compatible with the 360; I got the new CSR wheel. So far the wheel works fine...the G25 pedals on the other hand, aren't compatible (at least in my setup with no clutch pedal in use).

I tried to send you a FR on xboxlive.com but kept getting errors, so I'll send one tonight from my xbox.

Rivals mode is awesome. I always keep beating SlipZtrEm.... it also gives out really good rewards too.

I just wish it would automatically jump to the next highest rival while on track instead of having to exit out.

I also like how you (seemingly) get rewarded on how much you drive as I've done a rivals race and didn't even beat my PB yet still wound up getting like 500cr and a few experience points.

This!

I hate having to back out, but why would I want to keep hotlapping in Rivals if I'm not getting anything for it.
Also, I wish it didn't take so long to restart a lap in Rivals' events where you only get one lap.

Not that either one of these things are going to deter my from plaing it.

I do believe you've just inadvertently referred to me in the third person.

I am Renown.

Well, GOOD news then! I did not know that :) 👍

Great thinking. I was thinking about how we were going to get pics and videos of us racing this morning. We need to get a couple races in where everyone picks a car with a livery with their car number. That will make for some great pictures.

I would hate to be a PIA, but if we do that, please let me know in advance so I know which class/car etc to have ready ;)

Maybe we need one from each class to start with, and just assume that everyone can just max that class.

Hey guys just noticed our club is ranked 84th out of 26,503 in the Top Gear Rivals!! Great job guys. Lets keep it up everyone. Proud of our team!

Whoa, nice! That means good racers...but even better yet, good activity from the club.

So how is Phil getting all these Ferrari's for our shared garage?

Has anyone played soccer yet? Oh my god, I laughed SO HARD playing about 7 rounds of that. That is beyond funny.

Yeah, I just had a discussion with viLe styLe and I think we are going to start using certain rival events as a qualifying for Saturday races. I'll PM you and Jimbo the details before I announce it officially. This will help improve the clubs ranking and give us mostly clean racers on Saturdays as well.

He said he bought tokens and used them to get the really expensive cars. I am also obtaining allot of great cars just from winning them. I got a Shelby Daytona Coupe yesterday just for leveling up. I never could afford it in FM3.

Yeah I will. It's not going to be for a while anyway. I have to get a few more cars painted and modified first, as well as much of the club members im sure.

I have posted the official rules and regulations for FPM in the OP.

Please, read them carefully. If you have any questions contact an officer. If you are unsure what racing etiquette entails ask.

If you do not wish to follow these rules or object to the established regulations than I am sure there is a club of 12 year olds on ForzaMotorsport.net that would love to play bumper cars with you.

Thank you.

Sounds like a fast way to get those acheevos!

The amount of duplicates in the club garage is already pretty mind-boggling, so in that sense, I'm all for people sharing cars made for specific purposes. Seeing fairly common lower-level prize cars a few times seems kind of counter-productive, at least to me. I've only shared my F200 Aygo and D350 Miata since they were built for track-duty... though I don't know my way around the tuning options too well yet.

Perhaps we could incorporate a small designator into the FMP logo? A small bubble or something to signify which of the three it could be... thoughts?

Rivals mode is awesome. I always keep beating SlipZtrEm.... it also gives out really good rewards too.

Heh, I revisited Rivals again, and it definitely seems to give out a small cash payout based on lap length, but then the bounties are based off the rival's place on the global leaderboards. It really is an easy way to make money 👍

Anybody else just trying to get Level 4 Affinity for as many marques as possible as fast as possible now? I've been on the hunt, starting with favourite makes, but am soon going to be graduating to the smaller ones. Rivals is great for this since you don't have to actually buy any cars, really.

I still don't have it, hopefully have it today otherwise I'll rage pretty damn hard! :'(

Well my GT40 is done and extremely fast thanks to some tuning tips I found online. I'll be posting it some time this week. An a more personal level, I will be getting surgery this upcoming Friday so I might not be participating in anything for some time. Just letting you know Chris, don't write me off haha

Sorry to hear you need surgery. Good luck with it and hope you recover quickly. 👍

Announcement:

There will be a qualifying run for this Saturdays club racing that will start tomorrow morning at approximately 10am est (GMT -5) and run until Friday at midnight est. I will post all info on how this will work tomorrow morning.

It's a C class car. I really appreciate the help man, thanks. Also I'll be checking you Fairlady tune out too since I owned a blue one IRL.

As soon as I get a moment I will work on a C class tune for the Romeo, something that will tighten up the handling of the car.

Sweet! Just got an email from UPS, saying that I just got a tracking number for my order of the CSR Wheel, as well as the Clubsport pedals. Can't wait to start using a wheel again, like I could in GT5. Estimated date is October 21st, which is Friday, so it looks like I'll be spending some good quality time with it on Saturday. Hopefully I can control my car a little better, than I could with the controller.

Thanks and good news! I just talked to the doctor and he said I might be in some pain and a little doped up on meds but I can try to make your qualifying session on Friday. Also like the new rules/regulations. We seem to have some pretty nice people here so I hope nobody has to go through rules 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7:tup:

Until Turn 10 adds in this functionality, I will do my best to make it easier on club members by sharing info on whatever tunes I do, especially the ones I build to help make us stronger on the leaderboards.

I will look into the revised rules as soon as I get a moment, but I'm interested in seeing how you guys think rival events will help to keep races cleaner.

The replays if anyone has them can speak for themselves. At least one incident I had to deal with involved one of our fastest rival event hot lappers. viLe styLe got taken out at the beginning of one of the races by the same offender. I also noticed that guys who fairly hold down the racing line get rewarded by dirty overtaking. Yesterday I had one guy spin out or crash and then try to back up his car into the middle of on coming traffic.
