FP Motorsports

Haven't been on much because it's been like this the last couple weeks.

lol

What the..? How's that possible??
''SatansReverence has always been an A and B student......that all changed when he received his internet report card......his ISP gave him his first F-!''

Those numbers are very low, I am not network or internet savvy but I wonder how those compare to dial-up, LOL. Sorry Satan, just messing, good to see you have some competitive numbers now.

Wow!! My speed tested horrible!! Has anyone seen me lagging allot??

I have AT&T and luckily I'm switching Saturday night to Comcast which should be faster.

This is my result from a local server

This is from a Florida server closer to you, Chris, just to see the difference.

Only difference I see is ping, which I assume is critical when it comes to hosting? Not too familiar with networking terms and how they work.

I'm also in Florida and my Comcast cable internet tested A+ the last time I checked on Speedtest....I also switched from AT&T and Comcast is much faster.

This is great news!! That makes me even more excited for the switch!!

Where in FL are you Wiggs?

Also is a lower number better on "Ping"

I'm in Lake City...a little north of Gainesville. I have a brother-in-law in Ft. Pierce. We spent last Thanksgiving there.

Comcast, at least in my area offers the best internet speeds but since they know this, their customer service is borderline pathetic and that is my only complaint. Been a customer for over 8 years, rarely had any connection issues. You will see the difference.

I noticed this already. I called to make sure my order was correct since I ordered online and it took forever to get someone on the phone. I must have waited 10-15 minutes and it was a Thursday early afternoon which I would expect to be overly busy.

Such a shame I had to miss the Audi race! It's one of my favourite cars! =) Any ways, I'll try to be in the race this week for sure!

Edit: I got Skyrim for my birthday, so expect to see me less in Forza ;)

That game took a big chunk of my life.. And im still not even half way done.
Me too. There was a few weeks/month after Forza that was crazy with good games releasing. I fell victim to the Skyrim addiction and though I am settling down from it, Forza once again has taken the helm. I admit that I get discouraged racing with most all of you, right when I think I can compete with the club, I am quickly slapped-in-the-face with reality, perhaps someone could share tips on cornering, this seems to be where I struggle. Watching people's ghosts I can't seem to take a corner without losing tons of ground, catch up and then lose it at the next corner?

Slow in, fast out and be smooth as possible. Also when using the correct line be sure to use the entire track (that is of course barring that there isn't anyone beside of you. That's about the only way I can explain it and get straight to the point. Maybe someone else can break it down into more detail.

Yeah, I guess my problem is slowing in too early, I do always have my braking done before the turn. More practice is really what it comes down to, and other people's tips, eventually I will get it. Thanks.

No problem bro. 👍 Also if you are braking and you start to feel it's too early just pump the pedal a few times. Letting off the brakes helps me when I start to brake too early to gauge how quickly the corner is coming. Also like you said practice practice practice. Can't stress it enough. Knowing the track is a huge factor. I always go for a 30min - 1hour practice run either the night before or the morning of our race to get a feel for the car I will be using and the track itself.

I learned alot from seeing how faster drivers take corners. For instance on this last weekly race we had, i was behind Zr1Chris for a while and saw his line was waaaay different then mine. He was also exiting corners faster as well so i started following his line and found that it was much faster.

Good point. I usually just race a default ghost, which would be one that is just above me, so later I will set a top ghost and study their line, don't know why I never thought of that before.

I learnt choosing lines by looking into the next corner, you automaticly choose the right/fastest line to get to the point where you are aiming. In some cases this is backfiring, becaus there is a possibility you enter the corner in a weird way, also try to keep a certain flow. Knowledge of a track is also very important, if you know where you are going you have less thinking to do!

This really helps...sometimes when I'm in rivals mode I race against the fastest ghost and try to follow his braking lines and corner entry and exit points. It's easier to follow a ghost that's way faster than you because he's not right on top of your car.

This is also true...also racing faster drivers than you will help. You will lose most of the time in the beginning but eventually you will start closing the gap and even win a race here and there.

Don't fall for it Chris! Forcone will be sitting on the pole by Friday night. ;)

I'm not. I know it's just a matter of time before he finds the right car with the right tune and i'm stuck trying to figure out how to knock off a full second.
