Well. I'm gonna say that I dunno what to do about the club. Prolly best to put me in don't use till I get better. I'm emotionally a wreck right now and not sure about life anymore. I've got tears on my face right now. I'm hurting so much that well, I just don't know anymore. I can't sleep well again. Yesterday got up and ate breakfast then did couple things then laid on my bed tired all day. Dozed a bit then got up last night and now its 10:07 am today. But I can't sleep really. Just feel awful and horrible.

Hey mate I know we don't know each other in person but we are hear for u if u need to chat to some one in box me at psn. I've been there mate it helps to talk to some one

YLOD. I followed online videos online yesterday evening and tried to reflow the motherboard myself as I am more than competent with elctronics but i dont think I did it enough as I was worried about cooking the board. I dont want to send it to Sony as I will get a crappy unit back and seeing as mine is an original 60GB upgraded to 500GB with GT5 stuck in it I would really feel cheated if I got a REFIRBISHED PS3 slim back.

Mate, reflow is only a temporary fix, so dont worry about cooking it. Anway, the mobo can take much higher temps before burning. Just do it, 20/30 secs is enough and reapply quality thermal paste. AS5 is strongly recommended.

I think the idea now is to get it started up to backup data, then send it in. Once ylod & reflowed chances of the problem going away permanently is very slim. So get a slim if you dont want refurbished. Restore data over, then reapply quality paste the day warranty ends..

Just another quick word of praise to say it is brilliant to see people backing each other up. It seems to be a littl rare on this forum at times but it really has shon through in the last week! 👍

Yeah I would hate to get a slim back they look so cheap I got 80 gb original with a 1 tb attached to it . So I take it is a over heating issue, has any one tryed a USB fan thing they have on eBay as I was going to get one as in worried about over heating on long grinds I even took it out the low liner so I gets more air.

Any way good luck with it hope u get it back ASAP to make me some money lol
